  • If this is the end: Thank You, Rhys
As Dave Dombrowski announced Bryce Harper will exclusively play first base, that likely marks the end of Rhys Hoskins’ career in Philadelphia. Hunter and Ian talk about Rhys’ best moments as a Phillies as well as how the team may be constructed moving forward.

What else can you say about Rhys. Tremendous power hitter and a Phillies mainstay. He'll be missed.

Absolutely. The heart and soul of this team. Going to miss him. Time to move forward though.

Gonna miss Rhys, was one of the few bright spots in a dark rebuild but it’s time to move on

Is it possible that Rhys could be re-signed to back up Bryce Harper at 1st base? Probably won't happen, but I don't like Alec Bohm playing 1st base to back up Harper since he is the primary 3rd baseman.

Rhys is a top 5 hitter in free agency, he’s not going to be a backup. He’s projected to get paid around $18 mil a year, possibly more.

@@phillyinsiderpodcast well, either way, I don't like the idea of Bohm playing 1st base as a backup.

That’s why he’s the backup there and not the starter. Plus, it gives you more flexibility rather than having to use another roster spot on just a backup 1st baseman.

      @@phillyinsiderpodcastYea Bohm’s perfectly fine backing up 1B
