I don't care what people say about the premise of the movie or anything like that, no one can say that the animation isn't just JAW DROPPINGLY gorgeous
I 100,000% Agree
Yeah like I don’t get how some people think this movie is pointless I think the film is stunning
even after 9 years, this movie still looks stunning
Yep....I need to read all the books again..
The whole movie is incredible, especially the songs,it doesn't matter, this movie as many others from 2000 will mark our lives forever
absolutely
Definitely
Same even after 10 years.
“He could have at least given us a vocabulary list,”
As a fan of the books, I screamed when I heard this line.
omfg
Same
Jesus loves you
Why? I need context
@@josuepatino8179 Because the books were written with an abundance of owl slang, each one came with a list of vocabulary words you could refer to before reading through so as not to be totally lost.
This whole movie is beautiful in so many ways tbh.
Tbh?
@@jysearjones4819 to be honest
@@HarmonyHope7534 oh, thanks
@@jysearjones4819 no problem
@@HarmonyHope7534 cool
I remember seeing this scene in 3D. Absolutely stunning, probably the best 3D I've seen in theaters.
I agree. It was so beautiful and breathtaking
Lucky basterd
I could tell
Should be re release ramastered in Imax ratio like Avatar do
The animators of this film deserve more credit for this masterpiece!
Can we just appreciate this scene? The lighting is stunning, the rain effects gorgeous. Every owl moves in their own way, and they carry so much realistic weight. If you paused and zoomed in, I’m sure you could count most of the feathers, they’re rendered so well. The zoom on Soren’s eye needs no introduction. It makes you feel so immersed. Fantastically done.
Such an underrated movie...
Shut the hell up
Hawk 101 take a chill pill
TotoTats16 nope
Hawk 101 are you okay? Their comment wasn’t even offensive
TotoTats16 nope again
I've always admire the power of flight, it's not jet boosting yourself into the sky and forcing yourself through the air, it's exactly what Soren felt at 1:42. Literally indescribable. Something only creatures of flight can mostly experience. I wish we could fly, but then it would be considered a casual skill, so the ability to fly would not be as amazing as it is now while we cannot.
My own definition of Flight: The sense of freedom when allowing wind or thermals to guide your body and soul in the air, carefree and fearless of falling or killing yourself
I'm not saying that I'd jump off a roof to feel the ability to fly in a fall, but if you can stop yourself from hitting the ground, then take the time to experience the wind currents. Hang gliding is perfect for this.
Harpy Gryphon I agree 100%
Dorkyy GD Glad we can agree :)
Harpy Gryphon I subbed to your channel, I draw too ^^
Dorkyy GD Aww cool, thank you ^-^ I'll sub back :D
Harpy Gryphon Thank You ((:
This movie is so goddamn underrated, sure it didn’t follow the books as much but it’s still such a beautiful movie, with graphics ahead of its time
Indeed
Every time I look at Soren he reminds me of mumble off of happy feet 😃😃
D'Andre Johnson same!
This movie was made from the people who made Happy Feet.
In the spanish versions, Soren and Mumble are voiced by the same person.
Same! I can’t really place it as to why, but I do feel as if there’s some resemblance between them.
@@SwingDaWing It's Elijad Wood and Jim Sturgess Is Voice Of Soren and Mumble and Remember Voice Of Silver The Hedgehog From Sonic The Hedgehog 3 Movie
Has there ever been an animated movie made with visuals that look this good?
The Lego Movie
@@michaelscott3411 No. It didn't look as breathtaking as this
Rango maybe?
The only one with water effects similar to this in recent memory would have to be Moana. Even then, it’s cutting it close.
Paranorman and Coraline
The way the books described Lize was an old, wise owl, with a deformed talon. I never thought the movie would make him this cute!
Yus
It's been a while since I read them, need to pick them back up.
I thought his voice would be a little bit slower and raspier,eh I'm still gonna imagine his voice how I usually do
I like how Ezylryb is depicted in this movie, usually the mentor type is either cold or harsh to contrast their legendary background, but he's more or less normal, also interested in his students and supports them learning and reading like a good teacher.
And i also like how this version doesn't hide his life as Lyze, granted he probably didn't need to cause here he was already with the Guardians unlike the books where the battle was its own thing, but all the same his uninterest in his own legend always felt refreshing to me.
Can't believe I just noticed Lyze is first four of Ezylryb backwards
@@colleenwillard5385even funnier, Coryn is just Nyroc backwards. (Nyla’s son, btw)
Why are the most realistic animated films the most underrated ones? Id love to see another film like this made today!
I never fail to get shivers when hearing Ezylryb say "Fly inside."
Just like I never fail to feel shivers when Soren and Gylfie are in the moon scalding chamber and have to recite the legends in the first book
Another masterpiece created by Zack Snyder.
This was his first animated film
"He sees it... Oh, he sees it..." ❤
Im cryng❤🥺this little Moment
Honestly this is probably my favorite scene from this movie.
For me too, besides the fire scene
"FEEL THE GUTTERS! THE CURRENT IN THE RAIN!"
A SCUPPER! A SWILLAGE! BAGGYWRINKLES!
Just like the books xD
@@Japanimefreak01 baggy wrinkles? He could've at least given us a vocabulary list!
@@ImperialKnight770 Now this! This is the way to learn!
@@Japanimefreak01 oh yeah! This is exactly how I wanted to learn! IN A MONSOON!!!
My Favourite Scene
Yup, one of the best in the movie.
The last scene wit forest fire was even better.
It's hard to choose between this and the fire scene.
GIVE👏US👏THE👏SEQUEL👏
After 13 years, this movie is still a masterpiece.
Me: A slow mo of the Barn owl in the rain would really do well
Slow mo: **actually comes**
Me: **mesmerized**
This film was so underrated
0:38: Soren’s expression here was exactly the same reaction I had as a kid-preteen watching this for the first time and hearing the word Hell in the movie. Lol. I was so much like Soren.
I love it how Lyze in his book is so calculating and well him, then in this movie he is an adorable lunatic who just flies in a storm.
The way Ezylryb acts reminds me of Barbossa.
He is voiced over by Geoffrey Rush (Barbossa)
I KNEW he sounded familiar!
"IM A LITTLE BUSY AT THE MOMENT!!" Totally agree.
I haven’t watched this movie in so long and it still looks amazing
I FREAKIN LOVE Zack Snyder, his movies always age like fine wine
For me, Legends of the guardians
WATCHMEN ULTIMATE CUT
BVS DOJ UE
Are like sequels to 300
When ezilrib said "like hell" it kinda caught me off guard and I almost spilled my lemonade
1:42 So beautiful it bring a tear to my eye!
This movie was way beyond its years
After 13 years this movie is gorgeous.❤
god its just as beautiful as i remembered
I can't believe it. I've found this movie again, it's been 10 years. I was 4 when it first came out. I definitely need to watch it again.
I wish movies these days would put in effort like this. Everything about this movie is absolutely stunning. Even though it’s a kid appropriate movie, they don’t talk down to the audience or lean on overdone comedy tropes
i’m still here after 10 years. wonderful and beautifully animated film!
No word of a lie, I actually shed a tear to this scene the first time I watched it!
Snyder with his slowmo lighting signature is a masterpiece.
I came here to re-watch my favourite scene. It's been years, and still, this part is living rent-free in my head
2024
RestoreTheOwlSnyderVerse .
this was my childhood. i had read the books, and to see the movie as well was amazing. i wish there was a sequel
This movie is so underrated
after 10 years this film is still touching I have seen it again recently beautiful film
IKR
And to think, this film was made in 2010. The people behind the animation really poured their hearts and souls out for it to look this beautiful and realistic. Absolutely flawless!!
One of the most beautiful scenes I remembered from childhood. ;( :)
1:00
*B a g g y W r i n k l e s !*
13 years old and it's still beautiful.
That's one of my favorite books, too, Soren. War is, indeed, Hell.
I still get goosebumps watching this scene
This movie still holds very well visually. Not a bad movie I wish it could have gained more traction for a continuation because I am a huge fan of the books.
Why the hell was this movie not nominated for the Oscar for Best Animated Film?!
The song is majestic
Still waiting for the 2nd film.
No matter how times I have seen this movie, I don't know what baggywrinkles are
Read the books!
Baggywrinkles are low currents.
You should have brought the vocabulary list...
This scene really stuck with me i can't believe this movie didn't do well i always loved this movie
If only we could go back in time and give this film the credibility it deserves. What a masterpiece!
Zack Snyder, you are a Saint
I'm glad this movie has been getting more recognition as of late. it's been one of my favorites for years. it's a shame happy feet was the more successful of the production company's movies cause a sequel to this would have been waaaaay better than happy feet 2 :/
I love this scene
God, I bloody adore this film!!
THIS IS SO MUCH BETTER 10 NO 100 TIMES BETTER THAN THE MOVIES THEY PUT OUT NOW ADAYS
Stunning!!!
im confused on how the companie's computers didnt set themselves on fire well rendering this scene
lol
Fun fact: the movie takes place in the year 4147 A.D.
So this would technically have humans in it with advance technology
I came here to see if anyone would make any Barbosa jokes. Ezylryb (Geoffrey Rush) is all acting like a Pirate in the rainstorm.
15 years ago, I... Love... This... *MOVIE* 🍹🗿
I LOVED the books when I was a kid
1:42 You must unlearn what you have learned
Who's still watching in 2021? 😃✋🏽
I have never ever seen a more stunning movie. The visuals are so nice
Who else cried watching this
That moment when you think you're the s**t then you fail epicly. XD
Lisa Gerrard is always behind in every audio-visual master pieces ever done
I rem this scene scared me.when.i was younger
I love the book
FAT SHEEP and I still love it
dear god this gives me chills
still an excellent looking movie
Aw 😞I remember watching this in the movie theater😭😭
This scene reminds me of Happy Feet
i love this movie really i watch so much times!
Gorgeous scene honestly
1:40 I didn't know that an organ for grinding food in birds can make them so epic!😅
0:52 Captain Barbossa's voice
"He sees it, he sees it!" One of those moments where the movie doesn't allow the audience to think, like they gotta explain it to us.
Some people think it's getting inside one's body to do a mess.. it's not.. but flying inside means watching our own inner side..!!!
Peak animation
i love this song and this movie
my childhood
These pictures would make amazing art for home :)
THIS IS MADNESS !
Captain Barbossa 🤣👌
Wish it had gotten more popularity
Incredible
This is GOATED!
i havent watched this movie yet..
and yet the only scene I want to see is the one with the weather chaw.
This is the best children's movie ever made and it is spept on FAR too hard.
AWESOME
that's a shit-ton of wallpapers in every frame
