Nice video Adam , I did try this a while back on my radios (Sanwa) and I prefer 50/50 (for Electric) , But the good thing of this Tip is to try it for yourself and find what you like between the 2. Different Radios have different trigger feeling for throttle , overall Futaba Radio's always had a good linear feel.
Thanks Adam for these videos. They have been very helpful as I am kinda new to things. I just ordered a Futaba 4PM. Can this adjustment be made with that system also?
Hey Adam, using 70/30 the servo horn still has to be at 90 degrees right? As in, centred on the throttle/brake servo? I’ve noticed a fair amount of sub trim is required to get it centred (much more than the stock 50/50 setting).
Hay Adam, sorry for the off topic question, but i cant really find any info about this: I’m still running the MBX7-R and was wondering, if the new MBX8 lower front arms will fit with the 7R? Thanks for your amazing expertise and knowledge! Greetings from Germany!
Hello, yes, you can use the MBX8 arms on the MBX7R. You'll also need to use the MBX8 lower shock pins and setscrews in place of the MBX7R lower shock screws.
So after doing this while setting up my RC with my 7PX for the first time I noticed the little blue lines on the home screen for channel 2 is to the right for the throttle. How do I resented this?
@@Kalani_938 I think I misunderstood your first comment. Yes, this is normal and it's showing you adjust the trim to the slightly. Nothing to worry about.
@@Kalani_938 Robert, I did more messing around with my radio last night and it's because the trigger mode has been changed to 70/30. This is normal and my radio is the same.
If you're not mechanically changing the ratio, how does it effectively change the electronic ratio? If you have not moved the physical trigger to travel 70/30, neutral would be in the same physical location, half throttle shouldn't change, etc. I'm just a bit confused.
Let me see if I can explain this without making it more confusing. :) Lets say you have 100 steps from full throttle to full brake. In the default setting you have 50 steps from neutral to full throttle and 50 steps from neutral to full brake. When making the change to 70/30, you still have the same amount of travel, but the steps are small (more precise) on the throttle side and larger steps on the brake side. I hope this helps.
Still making the best, most helpful videos! Great work Adam! 👍🏻
Thank you!!
I always learn so much from your vlogs ! Thanks bro
Thank you!! :)
Thanks Mr. Drake! I will try this and experiment with it during a practice day with my 4PX.
Sounds good!
Salute and thank you for sharing all you know about RC...
My pleasure!
Great tip Adam, I will look into this one 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
My pleasure. Have a nice weekend!

My pleasure! I believe it can be adjusted on the 4PM as well.
Hi Adam ... Nice stuff ... Great information ... Is it possible to use this on inroad as well??
Yes sir.

I try to have the throttle horn inline with the servo and the steering horn at 90 degrees.
Very helpful! I was wondering if this controller has the capability to make my Traxxas TMaxx go in reverse, like the stock controller ?
Yes, you should be able to have all the same functions as the stock control and many more.
@@AdamDrake So does this really work for electric cars is it worth it or should electric cars stay 50/50

Would this setting also help in dirt oval?🤔🤔
I use it for all my vehicles.
If we change set to 70 30, is it setting for all models or only for 1 model name that been change?
The setting is per model. If you use multiple models, you'll need to adjust the setting for each.
@@AdamDrake Allright noted, thanks a lot Adam Drake.
I disagree when adjusting break in castle esc I can most deff tell the change in break ramp.
Hey Adam, how do I move the trigger for more throw? For me the screw does nothing?
I have a video coming for this, but you just need to loosen the one screw on the underside that in front of the trigger assembly.
Adam Drake yeah ok, I just couldn’t figure out how. I’ll await your video :)
Is this a setting just for nitro vehicles with a throttle servo? 🤔
I use this setting for both nitro and electric.
Adam Drake Thanks Adam!!!!!
Would going to 70/30 slow down my electric car for 132ft drag racing?
It will have the same overall speed, but smoother throttle.
So after doing this while setting up my RC with my 7PX for the first time I noticed the little blue lines on the home screen for channel 2 is to the right for the throttle. How do I resented this?
Hello Robert, I'm not sure if there's a factory reset, but I would try giving Futaba USA a call and see if they're able to help.
Adam does yours do the same thing? I’ve been told there’s a calibration setting for VR that you can adjust?

Does the mbx8 eco front hubs work on the mbx7 eco?
