Im glad you talked about Bison, for whatever reason I don’t see a lot of people talking about it when imo it’s one of the best meat sources out there, and Costco has some pretty solid deals on it. You can get 2.5lbs for $20, whereas Safeway sells 1lb for $12.99 Since it’s pretty close in it’s protein quantity to chicken and depending on how you cook it can be lower in calories (which is all I care about in my diet, low cals and high protein. I eat a lot of different vegetables that make up for most other vitamin deficiencies) personally I put it as S tier and chicken at A tier
Bison is a solid choice. Being native American but with a westernized diet at least as meat was concerned, I went back to a native based diet with bison as key component and dropped weight, reduced/ eliminated a few health issues as well. And bison are better for the environment- they don't damage the ecosystem of a prairie like cattle do.

A list on alternative sweeteners compared to all the forms of sugar (sucrose, fructose, HCFS, honey, molasses, etc.) is essential. Also, the differences between natural (stevia, monk fruit, etc.) and artificial (aspartame, sucralose, etc.) sweeteners, along with their side effects, would be very helpful.

@@detectivewiggles Food allergy to every single meat on the chart from B to Star rank, and every single nutritious non-meat food simultaneously? I know you're just looking for fights on the internet, but at least try not to look like an idiot while doing so.
Yeah and sadly, all my favorite foods are in the bottom tier. Chicken breast to me is bland and I don't like the texture. And turkey is basically a drier chicken. Hotdogs though~ 🤤🤤🤤
As someone who mainly has eggs for breakfast and chicken breast for dinner, I was pleasantly surprised by the tier list. I think the main change I can make per some of these recommendations would be substituting a different meat in place of bacon. Can't complain about the idea of steak & eggs in the morning
There's really nothing wrong with bacon. If you're worried about the store bought bacon, go to the butcher and buy actual pork stomach and cook it yourself. It won't have any excess sodium or nitrates. But the nitrate concentration in bacon is negligible. Green leafy vegetables contain natural nitrates that if you eat too much can kill you. Everything in moderation I always say
@@Iesous27 Pork stomach is still going to be extremely high in saturated fat, which is known to be hazardous in excessive quantities. And if you don't add excess sodium to it then it's not bacon and it won't taste anything like bacon. Bacon is by definition very high in sodium and saturated fat, there's no getting around that. It's fine to eat it every once in a while but not regularly.
@@cdsmetalhead99saturated fat is good for you. Don't be spreading that old, debunked myth that it's bad. Bacon should be in the A tier. I eat bacon and eggs every morning and play semi-pro football against kids one third my age. I'm 59.
Canned tuna is often high in arsenic. Skipjack being smaller of the tunas makes it safer, however, the larger tunas like ahi almost always have higher levels of toxins from consuming many smaller fish that are bottom feeders. In my lab, we have compared fats and toxins such as mercury, arsenic, and pollutants in many types of fish. I'd recommend staying away from most tuna lol.

I would stay away from most salmon too because it's hard to know if the salmon is wild or farmed. Weird thing for a vegan to say, but I really enjoyed this video! A lot of friends and family come to me with health/fitness questions. Not bc I'm vegan, but bc I'm a powerlifter and have a biology background. I try to not tell people to go vegan for health reasons, because most "diets" can be done well, or poorly. So this info is useful when someone comes to me and says "I'm interested in going eating more plant-based, but don't want to give up meat 100%". I can then recommend them the top tiered meats you mentioned. So if they take my advice, they'll eat more plants, but the meat they keep in their diet is the best possible choice!
I feel like this is such a healthy way of looking at it. Recognizing that there's more than one way to do things, and recognizing that how you do it is arguably more important.
Your salad only requires that you mow down entire ecosystems, breed monocultures that can be wiped out from one disease, deplete the soil, reduce groundwater, increase greenhouse gasses in the atmosphere, and genocide rodents, birds, and insects when harvesting supposing they survive the chemical genocide you spray. Vegans are immoral, unhealthy, destroy the earth, and usually die of heart disease. stop murdering so many animals.

Me included. Use Spice to give flavor to their foods without knowing how it affects the nutrients in the dish) Thanks again for your hard work :) Cheers from Portugal!
It was quite comprehensive. There are processed meat dishes unique to Sweden where I'm from, as the rest of the world of course, examples including falukorv, fish balls, and pickled herring, but as most of it is just ground meat with some added potato, grain and spices; its not too extreme to to guess their nutritionals, and there's always the back of the packages for one to check. One of these videos specifically on grain, and spices would also be cool eventually.
Likewise. Meatballs is on my regular menu, because it's relatively cheap and easy to cook. I'd prefer to eat more beef and, if I can, reindeer and moose. I'm also allergic to fish, which while it doesn't technically include non-fish sea creatures and poultry bred on fishmeal, does affect them due to what they eat.
@@JLilliquist no they are not, like: industrial "salami" is bad for your health but actual salame (you'll never find it in the us) is actually better than just the meat, as the fermentation process makes in more digestible and provides various bacteria that are good for you, also the mold on the casing is pennicilin

Im glad you talked about Bison, for whatever reason I don’t see a lot of people talking about it when imo it’s one of the best meat sources out there, and Costco has some pretty solid deals on it. You can get 2.5lbs for $20, whereas Safeway sells 1lb for $12.99
Since it’s pretty close in it’s protein quantity to chicken and depending on how you cook it can be lower in calories (which is all I care about in my diet, low cals and high protein. Bison is a solid choice.

I think the main change I can make per some of these recommendations would be substituting a different meat in place of bacon. Can't complain about the idea of steak & eggs in the morning
You could replace bacon with kippers.
There's really nothing wrong with bacon. If you're worried about the store bought bacon, go to the butcher and buy actual pork stomach and cook it yourself.
Also interested to know if there are differences in nutrients between different cuts of meat: Ribeye vs Strip, Chops vs Tenderloin vs Ham Hock. A deep dive on eggs: factory vs free-range vs pasture raised, different types of bird eggs. Thanks for making these videos.
