Thank You to the Friends of Perryville Battlefield!! For all the hard work and preservation thats been done. And to all the past residents of Perryville who worked quietly behind the scenes with hardly no recognition for keeping Perryville as original as possible!! THANK YOU!!
To avoid future audio issues, perhaps even use a cell phone audio recording app as a backup audio capture device? Just a thought. Love the channel, you guys are great.
Hello, My wife and I enjoy watching your videos. Particularly at this time, when getting out is difficult. We have a couple questions and a suggestion. 1. Where did Taylor Bishop get the cool looking Lincoln T-Shirt he has worn in the past few videos? 2. Where did Gerry get his Fedora hat? Finally, have you considered using a drone to fly over the battlefields to show viewers where events occurred from the air and a large view of the entire battlefield.
Hey! I can't speak on the fashion of Taylor, but Garry got his hat at Dirty Billy's Hats in Gettysburg. And yes, we have a large assortment of drone footage that we use for our videos. Regrettably, we have not been able to film any at Perryville. We are based in DC so we are not there often. Thanks for your interest.
The battlefield office is very helpful, they give you a map and instructions. It is just hard in the field because of the lack of markers. It would help if you can follow someone who knows the tour.
If you know the vids have bad audio why film them? Instead When you know you have good audio thsts when you make your vids would just be more perfeshional in my opinion and I think a Profesional and important job as this needs to be honored with clear audio.
We did not know that our microphone connection had been damaged by debris during the trip out until after the filming was done. Rather than waste a full day's work, we figured we'd release what we could. It is an unfortunate situation.
@@AmericanBattlefieldTrust listen this is what you do grab camera turn on camera turn on camera say TEST TEST TEST stop recording then watch that test vid if something is wrong you will know right then and there without having to go to location set up and record and find out audio is bad later peronaly I would honor soldiers by redoing the videos again AND DO NOT RUSH take your time its not a race i would rather watch a 2 hr long vid with great info and good audio then a 20 min vid where i can bearly follow along and has bad audio noone wants to listen to bad audio. Honor the solders. Re do the vids. Be perfosional. You are the battlefield trust and we trust you guys to have solid vids and info.
@@AmericanBattlefieldTrust its all good i wish I could of caught it before it happened I can't describe the feeling when I drove into guettysburg when i was driving down from a welding job it was just me and as i was driving down the highway it was like I drove into a fog the feeling was one of "were watching you"(the soldiers) and it did not go away my entire visit until I left I LOVE LOVE LOVE the history and the work you guys do I will never forget guettysburg and can't wait to return tell Matt Atkinson he is amazing to listen to on battle walks also beth parnicza from Fredericksburg 😍. jim fook is amazing too thankyou for all you do!!
This may have been asked before but why do you guys only post videos at 360 or 480? Even a five year old cellphone can take videos in HD. I love the information in your videos, and the people providing the narratives, but they are hard to watch when it seems like they were shot back in the 80's
Our tour style videos are streamed and edited live from the field. We are working on making the quality better. You will notice all of our produced content is in 1080p and 4k. Thank you for the compliment on the content side!
the war was over before it began due to Ky joining the union. while its silly to speculate ky opens up prob 1000 possibilities for the south, but when ky joins the union prior to the war it was over for the south.
the battles after 1864 begin to run out of.ligitimacy cause the confederates are not well provisioned there command is destryoed, and communications are weak. but 1860-1862 is a good study cuase confederates are well resourced.
The narrative isn't synchronized with the map. If viewers can't follow, what's the point of the map? Listen to your customer and respect the intelligence and needs of your audience. ABT needs a narrative that synchronizes with the maps that viewers are viewing. Simple. Pay attention to your customers in ways that resonate with their constraints and preferences. This shouldn't be didactic. It should be dialectic.

Stuart Sanders does a good job.

Has anyone ever checked on the "Acoustic Shadow" during one of the Perryville re-enactments?
Love your vids guys, but 6 videos and you can't get the audio right, haven't been able to get to the end of any of them
Unfortunately they were all filmed on the last day of our trip before we knew there was an issue.
I like Perryville battlefield, but I would like to see them upgrade their trails. The tour is difficult to follow and not clearly marked.
I might be going to the battlefield next week. Do you have any tips for someone visiting the battlefield based on your experience?

@@prospectord8437 We've been making videos with good audio for 7+ years. We know what we're doing. It was a honest mistake.

This video is a good idea, but re-record the soundtrack. You can replace it.
The poor sound does your content a disservice.
Stop smoking Gary!!
