I feel you on the flight, I feel like it goes wrong every time 🥲 But, I am glad you are back in korean and I am so excited to come back to Korea too in a couple of months because I really miss Korea and I am so bored here in America 🥲
@@strawberrykimcheekorean I’m going to do a working holiday in Korea, so technically I can only be in Korea for 18 months. But I plan on doing English teaching afterwards.
I recommend it if you're interested in myths and folktale already! A good point is that it teaches you some interesting bits about korean culture and thought process through the stories. However, because these are traditional folktales, the vocabulary isn't very relevant to everyday life. I think it just depends on what you want to get out of the book
no i love this idea bc diff snacks are nice for diff occassions 😭 jfdjkdfjk 초코송이 너무 좋아해요!! srsly one of my fave snacks ever i'm actually obsessed and the mushroom design is everything hahah also i so understand the seeing a huge block of text in korean and just shutting down lol i got a graded reader in korean that is clearly above my level, but its cool to know one day i'll be able to understand it :') 파이팅~!
I have so many different books for reading practice and I never use them because it feels too overwhelming lol, I really need to practice more ^^; I saw you reading Coraline in Spanish and I was so jealous! I want to be able to read a novel in Korean one day too~
@@strawberrykimcheekorean i'm really hoping to start with webtoons soon, as they're MUCH easier on the eyes and way less overwhelming :') and awe, you'll definitely get there!! it def is a cool experience hehe
People watch but somehow resist commenting I wonder how. I bought this book twice I think. I started studying Korean a long time ago and then stopped and forgot everything and then started again and rebought it. It's hard to find reading material. I only read half of it though. I gave up because it uses weird words like chestnut burr and hedgehog. And because they're all short stories the characters are always different and I find it hard to stay interested. I moved on to Harry Potter. Oh. Off subject but I'm trying to force myself to read Korean out loud currently as I prepare for my trip to Seoul. I'm desperate to find hacks to improve my Korean before I go 🤣🤣. Probably not going to work. The snacks all look to me.
Good luck with your travel preparations! Reading out loud is a great way to practice in my opinion ^^ I totally get feeling like this book's vocabulary isn't really relevant to everyday life (I just like it because I love reading myths and folktales ^^;)
@@strawberrykimcheekorean You're lucky then. I'm pretty sure there's more graded readers based on folk tales available. Since I'm going all the way to Korea I decided to splurge and buy the rip off TTMIK graded reader app. I call it a ripoff because of the subscription pricing model. I can say from experience that it's easy to spend money on books but not get around to reading them and if it's a subscription model then that just doesn't feel fair. But I definitely have motivation for the time being so I will see how much I can read in one month.

I'm excited to be back too! Are you coming back to Korea for a vacation or something else?

스낵류 과자가 맛있는 하지만, 기름에 튀긴 과자는 피부 및 건강에 좋지 않습니다.
적당히 드시는 것이 좋습니다.
