This is exactly what I’ve been looking for, but I had the wrong yarn. Yarn was ordered about 30 minutes ago, and I will get busy when I receive it in a week or so. I needed a baby blanket for a Woodland theme, but your sleeping bag cocoon is what caught my eye!! I will be making a baby blanket with the yarn that I do have, but it has to catch my eye, I’ve been looking for 4 days now. Thank you so much for this amazing tutorial 🧶😊

I wish I had found this tutorial before I started a knitted sleeping bag. I love the crochet and you did a wonderful job explaining and showing the process. Crochet projects just seem to finish up faster with less stitches. I will definitely do this pattern next time

The stitch you are using is called the seed stitch or lemon peel stitch depending on where you are

Thank you. This would work for a car-seat and you could button it down and allow their arms too be free. 🥰
You're very welcome! Though, I do not recommend using this for a car seat, it is not safe for baby. Nothing should be in the car seat, not even bulky jackets. Please do not use this in a car seat. For strollers is okay, car seats, no.

Can you tell me how many skeins of Red Heart Soft Essentials you used for this project? I will probably use one color for the whole project. so you wouldn't need to break it down by each different color you used. The fabric you've created looks wonderfully soft! I know you said you almost used up one skein working the border only. Your project is beautiful. I'm working on a variation, using worsted weight and a size H hook. Started with a chain of 60, every row ending with sc and I'm plowing through the 49" you suggested in length. It's such a simple stitch and it goes pretty fast, even with worsted weight! I enjoyed your video very much. Thank you! I am currently selling my items in a small gallery in a nearby mountain town. Considering getting on Etsy. I find crochet to be so relaxing. Marketing always looks like work!! Thanks again!

It was totally random, I didn´t even count how many rows per colour I did :)

As long as the yarn is Worsted weight you can follow the same pattern. Now, if it turns out a bit smaller I think it would be okay because it would be for a newborn :)
