Bro is putting out the best battle content on youtube. These pre-, during, and post-game analyses are actually well-considered, and the team comps offer a great exploration of the early reg-h metagame
The reason hyper voice did so little damage to toxtricity is because the ability punk rock reduces incoming sound based attacks by 50% against the user, along with its own damage boost.
I've been testing Boomburst in Showdown and suddenly found this vid. I LOVE the pairings you've made with Tox. It's one of my favorite Pokemon and I can't wait to steal this team hehe. :)
Punk rock reduce the damage toxtricity receive by sound base not only but the ability punk rock increases sound base move that is done by toxtricity by 1.3x hence why hyper voice from Ursaluna did that little damage to toxtricity
Creative team, great video! The asian never disappoints One thing I noticed, was like on the first game you did some plays which made the game tighter than it needed to be, the end of the game was decided on who would be faster between Gholdengo and Toxtricity. If you made different plays game could've been easier, like for example I don't see a reason to go for protect there with Chomp, and see no drawbacks on going for Earthquake + Brave Bird on Ursaluna on 8:40, you probably could get the double KO there, and then seal the game on that turn, pretty sure
In game 3, the opponent never got Light Screen up because Grimmsnarl tried to attack and went down on turn 2 instead. Very unexpected and easy to miss. Not sure if Hydreigon would have survived Gleam with Screen, but it explains why Overdrive did so much to Grass Palafin.
You have to play on Casual mode until the format officially starts. A lot of folks have Reg H teams, but bear in mind that you will get the occasional Reg G team, as well as people who bring 6 legendaries, and very inexperienced players that are just learning how to play. It's a mixed bag, but when you get a good opponent it's really fun. Good news is that Reg H is almost here so then you'll be able to play on ladder. Cheers!
@@manligi9701 The scenario where you go against a psychic terrain and Wide Guard and your damage of any of Gardevoir moves are valid is very improbable to happen tho
With specs you have more damage right away, so that's the reason, is different of Ursaluna, Kommo-o, Primarina, Sylveon that are bulkier and can receive more hits and can afford to spend a turn to activate the spray
It was one last turn of tailwind on that turn so he protected it to stall out the tailwind to be faster once it ended but opponent TR to keep speed control
2 main reasons: 1 - Wasn’t sure if they would potentially Earth Power or Hyper Voice calling a tera steel (common Garchomp tera) I wanted to bait Blood Moon as I thought it would do less. 2 - I could go for a misplay if Farig didn’t go for Trick Room like if they went for Helping Hand that which would put them in an awkward spot where Tailwind expired.

I had no idea it did that
It’s little bits of knowledge like that that win in this game!! Gotta love it

Thank goodness for regulation H. The format is such a breath of fresh air
This is my favorite format, it's nice how a huge variety of pokemons are viable
Putting out this level of content every 2 days is insane. Love the grind ❤
I love these kind of toolbox-y teams, where you can really bring what you need for specific matchups.
Didn't know Punk Rock reduced damage too... Toxtricity moving up my list for Reg H for sure.
Hope you had a great time at worlds James!
Thank you so much for these videos, they're both very fun and helpful! Your commentary and analysis are fantastic.

Toxtricity rocking out 🎸🤘
My boom boy getting sweeps is a treat 🎉
Another Gardevoir team for Reg H. Ya love to see it
2nd match was HUGE 🔥

Lol that’s actually a CHINESE team, the names of the original owner of the rental and the names of the Pokémon are in Simplified Chinese.
@@Elementroar My bad I guess. Props for the Asian people them.

Tera normal boomburst with basically two sets of specs is insane
Edit: How do you play regulation h in the game?

@@miggtorr Thanks!
Came across a person that used this team on casual ladder
Managed to beat them thanks to this video
Would love to see you play a dozo team and see what cores/plays u make around haze mons
Reg H is such a good time
"I think that's Assault Vest Pelipper."
Dude, Pelipper used Tailwind during the same turn you thought that. Lol
There used to be weakness policy toxtricity with Oranguru hitting it with confusion to trigger it
Man I was the only one using this till you drop this video smh
Sometimes, all you need is Taunt to destroy a whole team.
Is there a reason to use psychic? Might as well imprison expanding force.
You're absolutely right, the creator of the team probably didn't think about it
Not to find yourself wide guarded to death

Specs toxtricity bursts through the opponents - thats true, streamed this team and lost only one best of three out of like 5-6
Whats your favourite UU Mon?
I haven't played UU since Gen 7 so I don't even know all the new tier changes.
Hi James, I'd like to ask, where is it u find these teams rental codes and EV spreads?
Usually through my Twitter feed or VGCPastes
@@jameswbaekpkmnthanks for answering
Why not use throat spray on Toxtricity?
You typically need Toxtricity to start dishing out damage without setting up, since it's a very frail Pokémon with pretty common weaknesses.
With specs you have more damage right away, so that's the reason, is different of Ursaluna, Kommo-o, Primarina, Sylveon that are bulkier and can receive more hits and can afford to spend a turn to activate the spray
I really didn't understand that last garshomp protect at the end, can someone explain the strategy to me?
It was one last turn of tailwind on that turn so he protected it to stall out the tailwind to be faster once it ended but opponent TR to keep speed control

why Toxtricity use Toxic, maybe use Volt Switch、Snarl、Psychic Noise?
I think in that last game if you had terra'ed toxtricity you would have one shot the Ursaluna. You did earlier in the video.
2:15 What is that team being showed on?
How do you play VGC?.??
