EMS Educators, increase your student NREMT pass rates here: www.videosforems.com/schools
If you can understand this emergency medical services case you are well on your way to passing NREMT and gaining your national registry certification. Once you understand the hallmark signs and symptoms of all the medical and traumatic emergencies you are looking good for the NREMT exam.
After my last case review, I got so many comments from all of you wanting more reviews, so I made this video for all of you, hope you enjoy it!
My goal with this video is to take some of the most difficult parts of EMS education and break the concepts down simply for you so it will stick with you for life.
    Be great,
    Evan, The Paramedic Coach

I've been an AEMT in a high trauma area in Bridgeport Ct I thinks after 12 years I'm going into the hospital as a ER tech the nurses love me. They keep asking me to get off the ambulance and come there

Are these EMT or Paramedic oriented questions? As someone who recently finished EMT training, this is the first time I've heard about pericarditis.

I’m nearly finished with my EMT course and we’ve heard about pericarditis

  • @mfree80286

I'll throw you a curveball on the pericarditis... since I had it once (viral, unknown type). Pain, hell yeah... but around my throat, around the clavicle and top of the sternum and pulsed with heartbeat. Fatigue too, but the thing that got me to the ER was noticing my fingernail beds were turning pale, almost purple. General nausea, but no issues with position at all.
Heh, my only wish from the whole trip was if they'd done an ultrasound *before* the fluoroscopy, because the condition only showed up at all on the former. Did have positive enzymes though. Femoral plugs suck.
I was also in my mid-20's and never in my life have I been asked so many times if I'd ever done cocaine (hah, absolutely not.) Responders didn't get to see me though, I worked across the street from the hospital and just popped over.

Omg. A series where you dissect different nremt questions of a certain section would be so helpful. I know Limmer Education has their own nremt playlist that does something similar. But would love to see more of that type of content with you Evan! @@TheParamedicCoach
