For the doctors, it was actually Steve who brought Andrew on board with Glen! He came back in at a time when Andrew wanted to go alone. He kinda forced his hand to go with Glen!
ahaha steve seemed hurt if you saw his face it's quite funny
ruclips.net/video/007iEWO1tj8/видео.html
inadvertently cuz he seemed kinda pissed tbh
@@gimlee44222 steve has ulterior moves from what i have seen he sometimes asks for 40% equity to massivly overbid so the other sharks hands are forced to underbid him he is a cold stratigic and calcualting investor he came back in because he wanted andrew to make a move who wanted to go solo on that deal
@@patrickruttimann2354 great observation
Steve was in 2 of these 3 investments. Congratulations to the man
Almost all 3 lol
BRB buying the throat scope right quick. Seriously, as someone who has had multiple wisdom tooth infection/removals and how hard it was to try to see in the back of my mouth to apply medication using my phone light, I immediately loved that idea and now I need one.
Edit. I am 100% getting that first aid kit too. Everyone needs to have at least one first aid kit, either at home or in the car whatever. You never know when you might need it.
I live in Austria and here everyone is supposed to have a first aid kit in their car by law, if they catch you without one you pay 50 Euro.
@@wioi Thats because your society is not about the individual but rather for the greater good. It is our duty to stop and help when needed but in the US helping can cause as much trouble as not helping. It really is a hard thing to deal with. Depends on where in the country you live. In the Southeast people will stop in a heart beat. Other places you do not want to be on the side of the road.
I have seen an ear inspection wand thing around for years very similar concept as the throat scope. It's plastic disposable that sinks into a base that makes it light up. It's only in medical places because you're not supposed to put anything in your ear like that.
I was thinking of the product if it could also have a UV light to see more
@@wioi thats incredible, I wish we had that in America.

That iCapsule one with the biggest investment in shark tank is now worth under 100k usd only
Sad
I’m glad to see the throatscope became bright enough to use in the final version cause watching the one in the presentation you could see didn’t really work
This is how sharktank should be before and after.
Smart entrepreneurs and successful results.
I hope the series comes back again, even if they look at the previous investments.
Steve is the man! We want more of these before and after videos please.
I want to see some that have failed, want to see poor Janine's face as she blames everything on the inventors after she takes 70% for 30$.

That last pitch did great, very interactive, creative, and enjoyable it would make me want to help with that company
I had no idea Throat Scope was on Shark Tank! It is a wonderful product and have had it in my trauma kit for years!
The throat scope greatly reminds me of the HD scanner from the movie “the pursuit of happiness’”. The father is selling a medical scanner that’s a lot more HD than regular scanners regulated in the hospitals at that time, but no doctor is purchasing his scanner because its a lot more expensive than the existing scanner the hospitals already have. This lady is basically is in that scenario, her product is innovative and a lot more expensive than regular wooden sticks, but she is successful at the end of the day.
It was actually getting it into the hands of doctors that made it so successful. The K-mart deal kept them going, but every single doctor I know (and it's a lot) has fallen in love with the Throat Scope the first time they used it. It was just a matter of getting it into their hands.
The throat scope is an awesome idea that I think would work as a consumer product more than a professional product. I don't know how many times I've had something stuck in my teeth that I end up need into a torch/flashlight for that is super hard to position just to see where it is. It's a brilliant idea!
The light depressed thing is great
And considering what it's made of, I feel like it could still be reusable in a hospital setting, I feel UV cleaning would work good along with some other washing methods
As of 2016, her company was worth 15 million and growing. It's called Holland Healthcare now (she's Jennifer Holland). I can't find any information about it that's more recent than that.
But their website is up, and they have branched out into a few different related devices. Good for her!
@@JamieM470 wow good for her!
@@JamieM470 jusk looked it up. Very interesting to see her products Development. Thanks
I was thinking the same. It seemed like they could recycle these with ease by wash and sterilization.
@@stansman5461 Almost no materials get washed amd sterilized anymore in the medidal field except at the gynocologists office and at the dentist. Unfortunately the process of having to sterilize things properly and then pack them up and date them is simply not economical in compare to just using one way use tools. And while I could definately see this thing being used at the dentists place or pediatric office, I think it wouldn't be worth the price difference in hospitals and at the gp where I'm working.
Persomally bought the rescue swag.. showed it to my mining bosses.
highly recomend
Woman: Do you each want one
Sharks: Yes
Andrew: Nah it's fine, we can pass one along
I like Andrew how he explains to the People what they don't understand I mean how he summaries .
The cancer aid pitch was perfect. Even if that clip was cut down it was a great product and the doctors clearly understood what the dragons wanted to know
@Dyanosis well they're doctors but there also business men in a business so yea
@Dyanosis what a stupid comment. They 100% are doctors and no doctor goes to a "business - meeting" in a doctor suite that would be stupid.
The throat scope really amazed me
Love Steve. And very happy for Jennifer and Throat Scope. She deserves it.
On the Rescue Swag I really liked the scanner over the injury pic and video so you can see what to do and which item to use in the bag. Fabulous job on that imo.
Throatscope lady looks exactly like Ashley Williams (Victoria from How I met your mother) . It's so strange .

Sometimes the music makes it sound like theyre discussing the end of the world hahaha.
Sorry, I missed the detail when she said how this rescue swag detaches from a horse with a falling rider just before horse runs away with it. Oh wait...
amazing episode great job guys I wish you all the best🙏🏼
This proves to me that Steve is the best investor among them at least for investments on shark tank Oz. He's responsible for all 3 of these deals going through. What a legend.
The tougue light thing pitch saying yes to Steve was a smart fella.
Steve is smart and knows a good deal when he see's it. He just knows what will make it..
Australians are always so good at protecting the earth with their ideas 😂 love it
Wow this doctors are something else, beautiful lived watching this.
Thelighted toung depressor can be usted in so many other áreas, liiking into open wounds for debree or bullet fragment, vets can use it,
Loved Andrew alot, something about him that draws me closer to him, he is the nicest, humane and smart shark in this episode...
I like when they follow up with the people afterwards to see how they're doing.
I love watch thiese kind episode
As a user we want this do more of this
Great to see Australians helping the planet!
I feel so happy for the three of them!! That was awesome, I hope it works fine
Steve - "Say Ahhh" LMAOOO
My first reaction when they realised the throat scope recharge were 10x the cost of wooden ones:
Just make 'em reusable, these kinds of medical facilities usually have the essentials to sterilise tools!
Fits the green turn, I'm sure they could even get some tax return from that
You will never become rich with that attitude.
Recurring sales are goldmines. All sellers/producers prefer solutions where can get such steadyblongteem income.
No sanitizers do die out in the medical field actually so they are only used for things that you really can't afford to replace with one way use items.
That is what I said. Dad a nurse he had to throw so many plastic items away becuase of experation date on a piece of plastic. Thats regs for you.
Damn the tense negotiation!
Wish Shark Tank came back for one more season 😪
It’s still running, just not on netflix

Love the Australian Version of SHARK TANK... Actually prefer it over the US Version... As a Kiwi living in Mexico for 30+ years, probably just appreciate their realistic yet humane manner in respect to relating to prospective negotiations. Good job Aussie Shark Tank!!
The Throat Scope one made me want to cry 😂
Lol why ?
Andrew wanted that so badly😂 I love it, such a kind soul
I also think he was waiting for Steve to come along too lol
The rescue swag will do well in America. Lots of outdoors activities, skiing, fishing, hiking, snowboarding, boating...
But in businesses like the electric companies in all the trucks the linemen use.
Near swimming pools inside a dry bag.
Hunters would be an absolute fit for this product. Ill buy one.

M,
My only concern with the throat scope is the environmental impact. Like we already use tons of plastic and they just toss them away. While the wood sticks are reusable. I think somewhere I read about a process of making wood semi-transperent.
If possible make them with biogradable plastic.
I’ve never heard of the wood sticks being reusable they usually get thrown away. I wood imagine wood would be harder to clean then plastic is. Bacteria and germs can penetrate into crevices in the wood.
Steve came in to force the Andrew Glenn play for the guys
Love the throat scape!
My Favorite Shark! Steve!!!
Shark tank AU is the funniest shark tank I've seen

Steve jumped back in the doctor deal just to get Andrew to work with Glen to help them out!! That was so awesome of steve!!

15:10 - never seen one of those 'throatscope' tongue depressors in any GP surgery, hospital, etc. setting.
It takes time for something to be in every single setting worldwide
It’s specially for kids... do you have a kid?

16:00 nice, earth need more disposable plastics
Steve is a genius
I have stage for breast cancer and I know exactly what they’re saying about being isolated
Congratulations both of Indian doctor 🎉💐👍💥
Don't forget the cost of the pen torches the professionals have to buy. It is not just about the tongue depressor price comparisons. Sharks you never mentioned it. Hmm this is definitely a winner.
Those also have disposable caps. An otoscope costs around £160+. The number of parents who have children with tonsillitis, laryngitis etc. who don’t want to have to take their child into the doctor’s surgery or hospital unnecessarily is really high! A parent usually has to do this one handed, so yes, the domestic market is huge!
@@lisemartino1995 How many parents are able to use them thou and know what on earth they are looking at??? With the amount of people going to the ER cause they have a freaking cold I'd doubt that the domnestic market would be that "huge" plus an otoscope has more than one use so you can't just replace it this easily.
@@JustLIkerapunzel After the covid I think they've hit the jackpot...
@@JustLIkerapunzel as mentioned in the video there is an app to take a picture to send to your doctor. So the parents don’t need to know what they’re looking at.

Such a pleasure to see this cooperative, supportive approach to capitalism and business development, while still driving innovation and success. As opposed to our American predatory capitalism. How is it that Rupert Murdoch was spawned in this environment and inflicted upon the world from there???

Surprised Janine didn't offer the Doctors the half money for 50% of the company.....because she would need to put her valuable time into the business.

Steve is the best investor ...and nice guy
I agree!
I thought so but one episode he flipped out on a guy because he rejected his offer. And the guy didn’t even do it in a rude way. Steve just wasn’t happy that he didn’t get it and sat there like a grumpy child.

Steve you absolute legend
Awesome! Great ideas! It even inspired me to make a video about awesome ideas I saw in South America!
You haven't even watched the whole thing 💀
Hopefully the rescue swag can be made in Australia so it can be Aussie owned and made. Good luck
the throat scope has some potential, but it has 4 huge issues. 1. wooden stick is made of wood so it has good traction so you can pull on the tongue, this plastic will slide all ove the place. 2. it shines blue so its harder to see discolorations etc, which is very important when examining throat (altho as i see they fixed it so it shines white now). 3. its not eco friendly because you have to throw it out after every use, thats shit ton of plastic. 4. it costs much much more than wood, and all you get in exchange is kids are not afraid of it. Pretty surprised this thing is sucessful tbh.
They resolved those issues apparantly.
1. The new plastic has a matt finish
2. Light is white now
3. I do agree with this part but the logic can be applied to many medical devices - diabetes test strips, pregnancy strips etc
4. Agreed but it's fairly kid friendly
The throtscope is amazing, my son who has autism always struggles to let the doctors to check his throat... I need to buy one
