I always find videos like this fascinating. When this came out, this channel was on fire and now it's as relevant, if not less so, than many of the channels in this video. As of February 2024, this channel looks unlikely to make a comeback but you never know. I'm remimded of OpTic Predator (/user/M40A3Predator). He used to be such a big channel back in the days and pretty much put OpTic Nadeshot on the map. He had a huge potential to become really big but decided not to invest too much time into RUclips. He often came back to make a new vid but was never consistent and eventually people forgot about him.

You should really do a video on Kevin Scampoli, The Whole f'ing show had alot of potential to be a top tier wrestling RUclips channel. His videos were interesting and funny, which is what lead me to become a fan of his and call in to his show. I got pretty friendly with him, he's a funny guy, but now his content has been failing and his fan base is now just cancer. I still like the guy but his channel is dead. He was pulling in millions of veiws and now can barely make 14k on a video. Other than that, you've got a great channel dude and I'm really enjoying your content.
HuskyStarcraft is a name I thought there was a chance of being on here. In Starcraft 2's early days (around 2010 or so) he was one of those big RUclipsrs offering a different style of content for game/match commentary. Got hundreds of thousands of views and made the occasional meme music video based on Starcraft which got into millions of views. Then he just sort of left his RUclips channel without any explanation or goodbye video and now a lot of what people look for in terms of Starcraft are either watching esports RUclips channels or watching small hobby channels that were inspired by once more prominent Starcraft themed channels like HuskyStarcraft, LifesAGlitchTV, etc. As far as ancient RUclipsrs go, there are others like Renetto who did something that was a popular format for the time they were making videos (v-logs or rant style videos) and never really evolved with the content that their channel had so their sub count and popular never really grew as other RUclips channels grew or rose from the ashes.
Many of those big youtubers are simply out of their time, like people that started with something original talk shows, eating alot etc, then stopped for a while or under-went large changes. many many others came and replaced them pretty quickly and they simply couldn't get back what they once had :(
I always hated RayWilliamJohnson, he was basically the first reaction channel and it made him millions. And in the end, he bailed on his Subscribers because he made enough money to never work again. WhatTheBuck is a really, really old channel, like, 10+ years old. I remember watching him several years ago but stopped watching because he was just too flamboyant and feminine, it really irritated the crap out of me lol. His Subscribers basically went inactive, it's incredibly hard to keep an audience after doing it for the better part of a decade without changing anything. EpicMealTime was a channel i truly hated and actually prayed that it would one day stop. All they ever did was waste metric tons of food! they didn't even eat anything, they were basically just smearing food all over their faces then putting it in the bin. As a person who grew up with barely 1 meal a day, it irritated me greatly:( El Presador? I literally have no clue who that is lol. Ah, xJawz, once the most respected gamer on all of RUclips. Shame he lost his fucking mind, went bankrupt, and became a drug addict. I remember the video he made talking about uploading the human mind to a computer or some shit back on Black Ops 1. Wonder what he's doing these days? you think he's dead? anyways, great video, Glink!
While my channel is nowhere near as popular as those, there was significant drop in viewership over the years due to algorithm seemingly changing for the worse. Around 2011-2012, you can still tons of views with monetized videos but it got much harder after like 2013-2014. I think that's why so many fell off in viewership, regardless of subs.
I haven't heard of ANY of these! Except for Epic Meal Time, due to the big guy's acting gigs elsewhere on RUclips. How about disappeared RUclipsrs? For example communitychannel, comedy by Natalie Tran from Australia. She's actually gaining subscribers rather than losing them because her legacy content is timeless and excellently produced, but she doesn't post anymore.

I'm remimded of OpTic Predator (/user/M40A3Predator). He used to be such a big channel back in the days and pretty much put OpTic Nadeshot on the map. He had a huge potential to become really big but decided not to invest too much time into RUclips. He often came back to make a new vid but was never consistent and eventually people forgot about him.

You should really do a video on Kevin Scampoli, The Whole f'ing show had alot of potential to be a top tier wrestling RUclips channel.
His videos were interesting and funny, which is what lead me to become a fan of his and call in to his show.
I got pretty friendly with him, he's a funny guy, but now his content has been failing and his fan base is now just cancer. I still like the guy but his channel is dead.
He was pulling in millions of veiws and now can barely make 14k on a video.
Other than that, you've got a great channel dude and I'm really enjoying your content.

HuskyStarcraft is a name I thought there was a chance of being on here. In Starcraft 2's early days (around 2010 or so) he was one of those big RUclipsrs offering a different style of content for game/match commentary. Got hundreds of thousands of views and made the occasional meme music video based on Starcraft which got into millions of views. Then he just sort of left his RUclips channel without any explanation or goodbye video and now a lot of what people look for in terms of Starcraft are either watching esports RUclips channels or watching small hobby channels that were inspired by once more prominent Starcraft themed channels like HuskyStarcraft, LifesAGlitchTV, etc.
As far as ancient RUclipsrs go, there are others like Renetto who did something that was a popular format for the time they were making videos (v-logs or rant style videos) and never really evolved with the content that their channel had so their sub count and popular never really grew as other RUclips channels grew or rose from the ashes.
It would be ironic if this guys channel fell off.

Many of those big youtubers are simply out of their time, like people that started with something original talk shows, eating alot etc, then stopped for a while or under-went large changes. many many others came and replaced them pretty quickly and they simply couldn't get back what they once had :(

Back in the day when I first saw EpicMealTime, I watched about 2 videos then never watched them again
I always hated RayWilliamJohnson, he was basically the first reaction channel and it made him millions. And in the end, he bailed on his Subscribers because he made enough money to never work again. WhatTheBuck is a really, really old channel, like, 10+ years old. I remember watching him several years ago but stopped watching because he was just too flamboyant and feminine, it really irritated the crap out of me lol. His Subscribers basically went inactive, it's incredibly hard to keep an audience after doing it for the better part of a decade without changing anything. EpicMealTime was a channel i truly hated and actually prayed that it would one day stop. All they ever did was waste metric tons of food! they didn't even eat anything, they were basically just smearing food all over their faces then putting it in the bin. As a person who grew up with barely 1 meal a day, it irritated me greatly:( El Presador? I literally have no clue who that is lol. Ah, xJawz, once the most respected gamer on all of RUclips. Shame he lost his fucking mind, went bankrupt, and became a drug addict. I remember the video he made talking about uploading the human mind to a computer or some shit back on Black Ops 1. Wonder what he's doing these days? you think he's dead? anyways, great video, Glink!

While my channel is nowhere near as popular as those, there was significant drop in viewership over the years due to algorithm seemingly changing for the worse. Around 2011-2012, you can still tons of views with monetized videos but it got much harder after like 2013-2014. I think that's why so many fell off in viewership, regardless of subs.

How about disappeared RUclipsrs? For example communitychannel, comedy by Natalie Tran from Australia. She's actually gaining subscribers rather than losing them because her legacy content is timeless and excellently produced, but she doesn't post anymore.
