The politicians that are restricting green futures are doing it by giving money to companies that buy land away from people and animals who lived there first. The companies use that land to wipe out any life possible to grow one plant for your easy access products. Growing only one plant for what? So they can grow millions, make millions, but to not be able to do it in the future because the dirt gets dried up and useless for everyone. They don’t stay to make it better. They go leave it destroyed and buy some more land away from real people and animals that live there. It’s so sad. I actually learned something from this - I had NO IDEA there were 8,000 battery, wind and solar installations in the US alone that are unable to be hooked up to the grid due to transmission and land use issues.......that alone destroys the "green new deal" fantasy.

It’s about big industry. Corruption creating a panic and then monopolizing on that fear to enrich themselves. Schellenberger is an excellent witness to talk about this.

There are a plethora of possible answers to your question, but in a general sense, those answers will come from two groups of "scientists": those who pursue actual scientific truth, and those who prefer getting their truth from Chicken Little University. Unfortunately, it is the latter group that is listened to most of the time, rather than the former.

Here's some basic and real scientific principles. Think Archimedes law, then think about ice. If sea levels are rising, it can only be due to ice melting. I looked up the percentage of ice that is already on water, meaning the water level is already displaced even when it fully melts. Try ice in your drink. Once it all melts the liquid level has not changed. So the amount of ice already on the oceans is 97% . Only 3% of the world's ice is on land. The rise in global sea levels will not be significant. Thank you Archimedes.
The evidence I saw with my eyes was watching thousands of years old coral beds bleach and die in a few years.
What about the disappearing glaciers? What about the Artic ice cap melting?
