Trout Fishing With Power bait Minnow

I fished the creek yesterday for 3 hrs and struck out. It was the first time I’ve been on the lower stretch (Rockwell-Wells) since the flood. I couldn’t believe how shallow it has become. There are tons of rocks, roots, and trash to get snagged on now.

I haven’t fished it in a while but I used to catch 18-21 inch browns in there guessing after the flooding they all got washed down into the Lackawanna too bad there’s pretty much no holes left

Well they are made by Berkley actually. Old Gulp! used to be durable (I was lucky enough to get some on Ebay) - but you have maximum scent with them. Berkley makes MaxScent (the purple bag) minnows. I wonder how they compare to Gulp! and Powerbait. Nice December catches though

That would be an interesting comparison for you - how many trout (only) can you catch on gulp - power bait - max scent - all in the minnow shape - before they fall off!

Your a good fisherman
Just need to practice handling the trout if they swallow the hook cut it close as you can to the mouth good video the fish gods will reward you trust me try it
