If nobody pays to reserve the emergency exit rows on easyJet, and the flight is full or almost full, the easyJet seating algorithm automatically allocates these seats to people who check in last. It can be a gamble, but if you can leave online checkin until close to the time of the flight departure it can increase the chance of you getting an exit row seat. Nice report as always, glad easyJet were more punctual than Aer Lingus Regional for you!

Good to know! Thanks, yes based on the experience I think we’ll be sticking with easyJet ahead of Aer Lingus regional going forward. Think there’s a good chance we’ll just pay up for easyJet plus to guarantee a good seat and extra baggage going forward!

I think you convinced me to give EJ a go on my upcoming trip to Turkey (a more convenient arrival time over BA for my plans but I was still doubting it). And thanks for the nice video!

It’s not always the case but from recent experience they tend to be a bit more punctual than BA too

Sometimes aspire lounges are rubbish it’s like a pick and mix depending where you are.

I don’t mind easy jet but it will never be a luxury experience, the thing is the priority pass cost a fair few quid, and to be honest. It’s an ok product for sort hall. The strange thing is however their holiday product can be expensive. I chose Malta as a holiday destination. I selected a hotel and flying Business BA it was 200 quid more, with no charge luggage and lounge access. I was quite surprised. Pays to shop around

Lots of people knock Easyjet but as a way of getting from A to B you can't beat them, in the main a more relaxed service than Ryanair. But obviously do your research before booking as those extras can mount up which sometimes can make BA cheaper (but they are not necessarily better)

Yes!!! The add-on's and the PP membership definitely upgrade any Economy product, not just easyJet's in particular. Unfortunately, the average uninformed infrequent flyer doesn't really put the value of add-on's into perspective, or they simply don't know (nor do research) about it. These people wouldn't even know what a lounge is, let alone PP. Last week, I flew a 1.5-hr domestic here in the US where my original ticket was in Basic Economy for $65. At check in, they offered to upgrade in First for $50, and I accepted. So I got priority boarding, more baggage allowance, more tier points earned, larger seats, more legroom, drank out of real glassware, etc overall a better experience for a total fare of just $115. Perspective!
