i live in a third world slum i have an untreated infection in my kneecap thats spread i cant walk proper but i study art and would love to go to art school because of the place where i live even 2000$ can pay the entire tuition at a very good university, 200$ for living and food. but my family earns 1.5 $ a day and a meal is for 1$. where i live is very toxic so water is .5$

You EMBODY the meaning of art, finding meaning and beauty just by letting your hand guide where you go. It’s so hard to not get lost in the need for picture perfection… when I look at your drawings, I see pure, unadulterated creativity and uninhibited passion. So many people talk about the skill of drawing art. Not enough people appreciate the mind of drawing it… it’s hard to let yourself go and make something both abstract and comprehensible. You have mastered this perfectly… you have mastered looking at the world from an artistic lens, turning ordinary to extraordinary. And my god… it is so, so impressive. I’m rooting for you!!!

the colour palettes were kind of insane on the "32 of these" project. Like, that's legit recognition of what makes a good palette and how to measure your choice of colour. Mad respect!
Networking is more important than any degree. By going to school, he could at least get his foot in the door and make some solid connections. Maybe learn some new techniques too- but connections are extremely important and a great thing to acquire in school.
i go to art school! the big things about what we learn other than getting guidance for new skills is getting connections and learning how to get connections and make art your job while making your practice more sustainable. for example i learned to stretch my own canvas which saves a lot of money and etc. my uni has a specific class dedicated to career and professional practice, and a whole department for helping you get jobs after graduation. having a degree from an accredited art school is essential for most jobs in the field, too.

As a self-taught artist as well, I gotta say, it's cool if you want to go to an actual art school but you do not need to at all. With a talent like yours you do not need a degree to break into the industry, you just need to put yourself and your art out there and let people's love for your niche do all the work for you. In fact, I would say that most art schools suck the soul out of artists and often leaves us burnt out and demoralized by the end of it. It's great for broadening your horizons and making you learn different things like backgrounds, realism, watercolor, oil paintings, sculpting, animation, graphic design etc (depending on the school ofc), and if you think you have the mental fortitude to dabble with everything, so really the choice is up to you. In my experience though, art school isn't very helpful if you've already found your niche and have been practicing it for a large amount of time, because by that point there's really not a lot left they can teach you, or help you with. And just generally the whole thing is not ADHD friendly at all, so just be aware.

Well personally I absolutely love your art. I'm not into drawing myself, so I don't know how much my opinion is worth, but I don't think you have to go to art school to become a professional artist. I would love to buy prints or posters or stickers or whatever with your art on it, I especially love your piece with the astronaut, I'd absolutely frame it. Please consider opening a shop of some sort to sell prints or merch or take commissions for art for tattoos.

Damn dude, I have no idea what this video is even about, but you just come off so genuine and heartfelt and honest... being 30, living with your parents and still chasing a dream. That's great man. And it really helps me come to terms with my own insecurities. Like I feel the pressure to "be my own person" and completely rely upon myself and then there's this guy who's just being himself, asking for help, doing what he loves. I'm really fumbling putting this into words, but thank you for being genuine and honest and putting a piece of yourself out there. Thank you.
"To be my own person" is such a powerful sentence to me. I am 34 and I have no idea who I am, or who I want to be. I only know who I became. Someone with multiple personalities and none of them are real because I dont know my real personality, I feel like I do not have a personality at all and therefore I have to always behave a certain way to the specific person I talk to. I can easily identify the persons personality and then create my own to make it so they like me. I am amazingly good at manipulating people, which sounds "bad" but I dont take advantage of them. I behave and talk to them in a way that makes me gain their trust and have no reason to start beef with me or be angry at me, I make them feel like they are always in the right. Now the funny part. I dont like talking to people and I have social anxiety. I would rather spend my whole day at home talking to nobody. I hate human interaction, so this is where all of this personality issue probably came from. Once I gained their trust I can just move on, not have to worry about them, because at the end of the day I dont want to talk to anyone or be bothered by anyone.
Well I'll give the context. Mr. Beast (a popular yter who does lots of giveaway related things on a large scale with unique ways of doing it such as challenges) did a large RUclips competition containing some of the most popular yters on the platform (1 billion subscribers total!!!) and JaidenAnimations was one of the participants. In this competition, the last few participants (including Jaiden) said their goals assuming they won (with the prize being a MILLION DOLLARS to dedicate to a cause) and one person said theirs was building houses for people in need of them and they all had wholesome goals (ish (Ludwig)) including Jaiden, who said she would pay for many aspiring artists art school. Smyth art here was one of the people who decided to take their chance to get this opportunity so he will (hopefully) be seen in an art school in the near future!

Well personally I absolutely love your art. I'm not into drawing myself, so I don't know how much my opinion is worth, but I don't think you have to go to art school to become a professional artist. I would love to buy prints or posters or stickers or whatever with your art on it, I especially love your piece with the astronaut, I'd absolutely frame it.
Please consider opening a shop of some sort to sell prints or merch or take commissions for art for tattoos.

Damn dude, I have no idea what this video is even about, but you just come off so genuine and heartfelt and honest... being 30, living with your parents and still chasing a dream. That's great man. And it really helps me come to terms with my own insecurities. Like I feel the pressure to "be my own person" and completely rely upon myself and then there's this guy who's just being himself, asking for help, doing what he loves. I'm really fumbling putting this into words, but thank you for being genuine and honest and putting a piece of yourself out there. Thank you.
"To be my own person" is such a powerful sentence to me. I am 34 and I have no idea who I am, or who I want to be. I only know who I became. Someone with multiple personalities and none of them are real because I dont know my real personality, I feel like I do not have a personality at all and therefore I have to always behave a certain way to the specific person I talk to. I can easily identify the persons personality and then create my own to make it so they like me. I am amazingly good at manipulating people, which sounds "bad" but I dont take advantage of them. I behave and talk to them in a way that makes me gain their trust and have no reason to start beef with me or be angry at me, I make them feel like they are always in the right. Now the funny part. I dont like talking to people and I have social anxiety. I would rather spend my whole day at home talking to nobody. I hate human interaction, so this is where all of this personality issue probably came from. Once I gained their trust I can just move on, not have to worry about them, because at the end of the day I dont want to talk to anyone or be bothered by anyone.
Well I'll give the context. Mr. Beast (a popular yter who does lots of giveaway related things on a large scale with unique ways of doing it such as challenges) did a large RUclips competition containing some of the most popular yters on the platform (1 billion subscribers total!!!) and JaidenAnimations was one of the participants. In this competition, the last few participants (including Jaiden) said their goals assuming they won (with the prize being a MILLION DOLLARS to dedicate to a cause) and one person said theirs was building houses for people in need of them and they all had wholesome goals (ish (Ludwig)) including Jaiden, who said she would pay for many aspiring artists art school.
Smyth art here was one of the people who decided to take their chance to get this opportunity so he will (hopefully) be seen in an art school in the near future!
Its never too late to get a degree and the fact that you still want to go for it is amazing, your art rocks! NEVER GIVE UP!!

Your art reminds me of a childhood book I used to read called “The Giving Tree” and the colors and how everything is shaped reminds me of Graffiti Art as well, it looks so awesome and I really hope Jaiden does see this at some point ❤❤
