When you said “if you don’t have kids I don’t know why you’re watching” I was cracking up and realized oh my gosh that’s me 😂🤣 but I am a dietitian at WIC so I geek out over tips and tricks with kiddos in the kitchen. I loved this video so much for the creative snack and breakfast ideas. The more ya know!
@@stephaniemarin5479 I know you can be a WIC nutritionist without being a dietitian, but they do want some type of background in nutrition (study wise). If you’re interested in becoming a breastfeeding peer counselor you should look up job postings at your local WIC office! There are many ways to support families through each WIC position 🥰 I’d look into any openings!
Love this video! We give our 2 year old yogurt parfaits for breakfast all the time. Such an easy way to include fresh or frozen fruit, and things like chia seeds and shredded coconut in a meal! We also love “oatmeal cups”. I make them all the time because our daughter is allergic to eggs. 2 mashed bananas 2 c rolled oats 3/4 c plant based milk 1 tbsp ground flax (mix w 3 tbsp of the milk to make one “flax egg”) 1 tsp vanilla 1 1/4 c frozen berries or shredded carrot and apple 1 tsp cinnamon Butter or oil for greasing * mix all ingredients together and fill greased mini muffin trays with about 1 tbsp of mix each. Bake at 350F for 18-20 mins. Store in fridge for 3 days or freezer for 3 months!
These videos are SO helpful! It’s really nice to see toddler meals being made in real time vs just pictures on Pinterest. It definitely helps me want to meal prep more for my little one!
Ah her little cooking outfit is so so cute 🥺 for breakfast ideas my girl loves yoghurt with berries and ground granola, avocado on toast, cereal with fruit and overnight oats. Can't wait to try the pancakes 😋
Chia pudding a big hit for breakfast. Also changing it up for more savoury dishes works at our house when in a rut. We have potato zucchini/carrot fritters or even a fish cake. Yogurt dipping sauce with a nut butter mixed in does double duty with fritter and fruit!
i’d definitely recommend smoothie bowls for breakfast. you can have everything read the night before, just blend it up real quick and it’s like a thick delicious smoothie that you can top with all kinds of stuff to make it extra nutritious and yummy
Hi Nikole, just wanted to say that I really appreaciate your sense of humor. The part where you said: “Was this a good idea or a bad idea to bring her on.” 😂 Then the part that made me laugh out loud was when you said: “And also they’re dog friendly, so even if you don’t have kids, I don’t know why you’re watching this video, but you can also give them to your dog.” 😅
My toddlers favorite food (for breakfast, but pretty much works for any meal) is whole fat cottage cheese. She also loves coconut or almond yogurt (unsweetened, either silk brand or cocojune) and a spoon of almond or peanut butter.
My LO just turned 1 and is picky at breakfast too now! I’ve tried giving her sliced banana with peanut butter spread on and she likes that - I guess you could prep a batch of these and even freeze them. Thanks so much for your awesome videos and inspiration mama!!
Hi! Love these ideas💛 my 1-yr-old son like applesauce so I mix milled flaxseed in his. He also likes Greek yogurt with hemp seeds, sometimes berries and a few dark chocolate chips for added motivation! For mess free or on the go, I use reusable squeeze pouches for both.
16 month old loves chia pudding with coconut milk and tropical fruit or really any fruit. Mine also got tired of eggs so I switched and started doing a tofu scramble with peas. She loves it.
My 19 month old daughter favorite breakfast is savory muffins - we add any veggies we have on hand + cheese. Also waffles with PB and chia seeds for an easy breakfast. Fruit and yogurt bowl. Banana muffins.
🥦🥦🥦 thank you for so many great ideas! After nursing, I have managed to stay away from pre-bought baby food and have embraced baby-led weaning thanks to you! You’re wisdom is game changing for new moms. Thanks again!
We normally do sausage occasionally when we have it, hash browns (our girl LOVES those two) some kind of fruit, strawberries and blue berries are a go to but she also likes raspberries, and I like to make banana oat pancakes with some flax seed added to the batter. She loves that too with a small drizzle of honey. I try to feed her this breakfast first thing when she wakes up and after we get her on the potty (we are working on potty training) and then I’ll nurse her after she eats and plays a little.
🥦 YES, PLEASE do a what Sage eats in a week😁 My son is 19 months old and I feel like I'm running out of ideas. We struggle mostly with supper time🙈 Sage is SO CUTE🥰❤
Baked oatmeal. Pancakes or waffles (easy to freeze and toast in the am). Muffins. French toast. YOGURT MUESLI -1/2 cup quick oats. Soak with 1/2 cup boiling water for 20 mins. -1 cup yogurt -1 grated apple - 1 T flaxseed - 1 T hempseeds - 2 T honey - 2-3 T raisins Refrigerate overnight and top with fresh or frozen fruit (berries or bananas). Keeps in the fridge for a few days. Can also add coconut or even orange juice as a natural sweetener. My kids love it. Especially in summer. -
I love ur ideas and ur recipes. One thing I do/ did to avoid salt is to add lemon juice & lemon zest and/ or tomatoes to give it that extra zing. Haven’t seen u do it so thought I should mention it. I don’t know why but I thank god that my 1 year baby boy is soo into veggies and fruits. Hv been using them since he could have semi solids in smoothies and meals and now he’s hooked 😊All ur videos r wonderful so highly recommended to any first time mommy, especially ❤ 🥑
Be still my heart! Sage looked adorable in her little chef outfit and if I do say so she made an excellent su chef lol! I love when she was stealing the ingredients to eat! So entertaining and I don’t have small children anymore they are all grown up but I will definitely be making those recipes they look delicious 😋
Sweet potato pancakes with whole wheat or oat flour. Sweeten with a really ripe banana or some pure maple syrup. My son is obsessed. I’ll spread nut butter ontop of it or marscapone cheese sprinkled with cinnamon. I make a bunch during breakfast one morning as my son eats, then I freeze them and pop them in the toaster in the morning!
Loved the ideas u shared ! Bravo to you for working so hard to get her the right nutritions. My baby has several food allergies so I am always on hunt of recipes I could make her . She cant have eggs else I would love to make your pancakes . Thanks any ways!
Almost every day oatmeal, or eggs 😅 sometimes banana pancakes. BUT, we always eat together and everybody gets the same meal.. what I've heard so many times is that the conditions at the table make a much bigger deal than the food itself. My oatmeal is simple: water, grain (oats, spelt or kamut), cinnamon, cooked seasonal fruit, nut butter and at the end smashed banana. My girl loves it and we do too!
Tank you so much for all your videos my newborn baby is due this week, Nathan will love these recipes and I just bought your book on amazon. Keep them coming 👌👌
Absolutely love these videos Nikole! Have the 6-8 month puréesin my freezer for my 7 month old and am starting to include some of the 9-12 months. Love that Sage is now cooking with you too 😍 Would love more of these!!
I felt so attacked when she said I don’t know why you’re watching this video if you don’t have kids 😅 I don’t have kids but I love to watch all of your videos and also like to plan for the future!

Hey Nicole, cute to see little sage helping you out :) ❤️ could you make a video on baby proofing you did - the essentials and the more nice to have. I have a 12 month old and I was just thinking this week I need to do something about the oven. Didn’t realize some lock existed out there. Any list of that kind would be helpful!
My 13month old likes quesadillas for breakfast, we usually do egg, cheese and whatever diced veg we have + salsa on top… and she is hit or Miss on eggs in general but always goes for these!
Just found your channel and I'm very excited to watch more vids, I need so much help with nutrition. I have a suggestion! I feed my baby girl grits with cheese and eggs. Eggs are hit or miss for her too, but if I hide them in some grits she’s all for it. Quick and easy and probably not that common outside of the south where I live.
Sweet potato fries are a favorite for breakfast! I love to freeze them in a batch and grab some daily for my little ones and you can try yogurt with added oats, hemp heart seeds or chip seeds with mixed fruits of whatever you want :)
OMG I so love your videos. I've been following your baby meal prep vids eversince. I even buy the products and brands you're using coz they all look cute and super useful. I followed all your tips for prepping foods for little ones and even bought your digital cookbook which is by the way so great! I'm jealous coz even when Sagey is just 6 months, she eats so well!!! I hope my 9 months old daughter is the same. I serve everything, did everything but she's still a picky eater. Anyways all the love to your family and baby Sagey. ☺️❤️
Hello wonderful family ❤️❤️❤️❤️ OMG THIS IS SO CUTE🤗🥰😘❤️ SHES PRECIOUS 🥰😘❤️thank u Nikole for this wonderful videos👍🏽 my little one he's 16 moths n I thank life for this wonderful GIFT 💖🙏🏽😘❤️ my respects for all the mothers out there 👍🏽❤️😘🥰💕
I make a batch of chia seed pudding with chia plus ground flax seeds and hemp hearts. I add a splash of vanilla extract and use almond milk , i then add a scoop of coconut yogurt and mix when I’m serving to baby and add a bunch of blueberries or strawberries or raspberries.Other ideas: avo toast, hard boiled eggs, or cottage cheese with some fruit
🥦🍉useful video thank you!🍋Watching as i am cooking for my 18 month-old (patties made of carrots, red lentils and zucchini with a yoghurt coriander dip) Will try the tofu!
I cook something same to my toddler: 250 gr pumpkin, 400 g soft cottage cheese, 50 gr semolina, 2 eggs, vanilla extract. Bake 20-30 min. Pumpkin is also quite sweet!
Hey Nikole - I heard this and you might be interested. Himalayan pink salt doesn't have the microplastics and mercury found in sea salt. For myself I have banded back and forth but now I'm pregnant and going to be feeding baby one day (can't wait!!) I have switched back to pink. It's because it's from rocks and never goes in the sea. I just thought I'd share that.
You asked suggestions for breakfast. My girl loves tofu scramble I add smoked paprika, turmeric, fine chopped onion and garlic, parsley flakes and black pepper; your girl is already having sea salt so you can try adding that too . Also I like given Mila chia pudding I make it either with unsweetened coconut milk or organic unsweetened coconut plain yogurt, add the chia seeds and whatever fruit or berries she likes, last but not least since I’m Latina I also give her refried beans with avocado for breakfast lol let me know if any of these ideas help you ❤️
FYI, great way to keep the meatballs moist and flavorful is to GRATE your onions into the mixture. You get all that flavor without the "surprise" onion texture. They just melt in. Btw, loved the blueberry coconut mini muffins from your new cookbook. **chefs kiss** Great for the kids and us 😁🙏
My son won’t eat eggs but he loves French toast 😊 so I give him eggs that way. He also loves smoothies so some times that’s what I do and I try to fill it with nutrient dense ingredients! Also just waffling things he wouldn’t normally like. Potato, eggs, spinach
The video comes so perfectly :D I'll fly for the first time with my 12-month-old baby girl from the USA to Germany. My mom didn't see me for 3 years and she wasn't sure what to buy or make for her. And I needed new ideas. I loved all the recipes in your cookbook, but my daughter also started not liking certain kinds of food. They are boring now. So I need to try new things :D And I like that I can snack on them too! The only thing is that my baby really doesn't like the taste of banana... it is such an easy food but she doesn't want it. So I always have to try out your recipes with applesauce :D
Hi, i love your videos. Thank you. I can suggest as breakfast that my son loves, is buckwheat cooked with milk and sweetend with cashewmuss or honey. Also rice cooked with milk, or semolina(meisgrieß) in germany also cooked with milk. Also i will add some cinnamon on top. Let me know if you try them :).
Sage putting her face in the Cup to lick out the Peanut butter was so cute 😍 ld eat all of these recipes and l don't have a toddler to have to share with. Thankyou for the super cute video with Sage "helping" 👍
I think my favourite part of this whole video is when Sagey was eating all the bananas at 7:09 🤣
😂🤗
I thought she was about to add her half eaten banana to the batter. Haha!

Yeah also some people have nieces and nephews and other babies in their life.
Arrogant statement.
You might make a really good mother.
Is it possible to become a diatician at wic without the dietetic degree ?🥺 I’ve dreamed of that job

I don't even have a toddler but these look yummy for my pregnant self! I'm going to try the breaded tufu and the gluten free pancakes sound good too!
So cute the sound she makes while stirring eggs!
