Absolutely fabulous , thank you so much.
Standing ovation 👏 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
You guys are fantastic because of your love of this. And you're both real pros. Thanks.
Once again, you guys nailed it. When it comes to Detroit Wrestling History, Dave and Terry are living encyclopedias. Google that word, all you youngsters.
That was great. Lol
How about a future episode about all of the announcers of BTW? From Ernie Roth to Layton to Finnigan to Allen to Maylick to Benson to Mike Thomas and of course, Terry!?
Coming up...
Captain Red knock
😆🤣😂
You two are the best
Another great episode! Thank you!
Gold Gold Gold
Thank you
On RUclips you can find a match with the team of the Sheik and Dory Funk, Jr. with Eddie Creatchman in their corner taking on Don Kent and Stan Stasiak with Eddie's son Floyd in their corner.
show the photo of the wrestlers you talk about for a longer time....
We will try to harry !
@@ROXTVDETROIT Very interesting stuff. I watched some of this wrestling as a boy and always remembered seeing a tag team of two guys with shaved heads. I remembered them as the "Schnell Brothers", but I found out from this piece it was the "Skull Brothers". Great stuff....
I agree, more clips and fotos and show them a bit longer
How about the midgets? They were very enjoyable matcges. Especially tge tag teams. How about you do a show on them. They deserve equal time.
Good idea, will put it on our list of future episodes.
i would have had to put Stomper & Justice to my top three list too!
I could easily go with that.
You guys are the best! Loved the mighty Yankees and the Blackjacks....you forgot the Valiant Brothers but love it! You also have such fun retelling your memories...beautiful!
My new favorite channel! These were the wrestlers I watched as a kid. I really appreciate it.
But for God’s sake, fellas…When you edit these PLEASE leave the pictures up for more than 3 seconds? I’m constantly having to pause, scroll back and pause again just to get a look.
Leaving the pics up even for just ten seconds, as you two continue your discussion, would make your tremendous channel even better!
We are working on it. ! Ty
I knew a little about the territory from the Apter mags. A lot of them would also appear in the old WWWF. This was a great video!
Killer Brooks was from Waxahachi. Dusty Rhodes was from Austin
and the Mongols! they were scary! and Tanaka and Fuji! loved the professor and the saly
Best Tag teams -4 Blonde Bombers (Stevens & Patterson ) Kurt & Karl Von Brauner & manager Gerhart Kiser! & the GOAT was no other than Lonnie "Moon Dog" Mayne.
and i loved the Blackjacks and the Kangaroos!...many others but they were the coolest
Do a show on Bulldog Brower please...my favorite heel of all time! And the Valiants!
Ray Stevens has a brilliant joke about marriage "Everynight my wife comes to me crawling on her hands and knees "get out from under the bed you coward"
I remember a tag team in the early 1970's two Japanese guys that played villains both had thin mustaches and a goatee on their chins one of them wore red sweat pants his partner wore blue that went down to the knee and were bare foot their gimmick was to reach into their trunks when they were losing the match and throw some kind of white powder in the eyes of their opponent when the referee's back was turned, then the victim would stumble about the ring like he was blind and disorientated and the Japanese guy would pin them, they were champions for a while but I can't find any video of them or remember their names, anybody remember who I am thinking about?
I think that tag team wrestling could use a revival these days! This was so cool to go back & see these classic old teams! Great video! Thank you! Woooooooo!
I love you guys...please come back for 2023 and 2024!
WOW!!! What a bunch of history to absorb! Dave and Terry did their research on the great tag teams that appeared in the Detroit area! The best tag team was Dirty Dusty Rhodes and Captain Rednock! Love the show!👍😀♥️
Oh my those stupid hells angels...they were so silly...hilarious
Keep those memories coming!
Bruiser and Crusher were #1. Everyone else was tied for second.
Chris Tolos stayed in the Hamilton area to take care of his Mom and Aunt
Great stuff guys! As always!
Amazing stories!!!!!
I know the Tolos brothers had a run with the old WWWF United States tag titles. They won the belts at the Armory in Teaneck NJ from Killer Kowalski & Gorilla Monsoon in December 1963, and lost them to Don McClarty & Argentina Apollo in New Haven CT in February 1964.
Re the Stanlee brothers: For the benefit of the younger folks out there, Gene and Steve Stanlee were two legit brothers (real last name was Zygowicz) who had also been bodybuilders. Gene also had a brief run as NWA world champ. They had a kayfabe brother named Bob who is best remembered for his brief but awful WWF stint in 1982 as Mighty Joe Thunder.
In between the Kangaroos' original team of Costello & Heffernan and the later period of Costello & Kent, Al Costello also formed a Kangaroos team with Tinker Todd.
This show is so great guys keep them rolling
Thank you!
Hey didn't the Medics or The Interns and The Legionares work detroit?
The Sicilians ( Captain Lou Albano & Tony Alitmore)... The Russian Bear Ivan Koloff & The Russian Nightmare Nikita Koloff
The Sicilians did wrestle in Detroit, although a bit before the era we cover. The Koloffs were way later.
I remember the night you (Terry) introduced Von Shotz as “Kurt”. He snapped his head around and yelled at you “KARL Von Shotz!” That said, I hope you guys keep these discussions coming. Bringing back wonderful memories!
Sounds like something I would do.k Thanks for the nice comments!
HOW CAN YOU EVER FORGET THE GRAHAM BROTHERS? JERRY & LUKE. THEY WERE CHAMPS WITH BELTS FOR YEARS TILL BEATEN GENE KINISKI & WALDO VON ERIC.
We didn't forget them, they just never worked Detroit territory together.
How about chief white owl my favorite from back then.
Hes talked about in some previous episodes ! Stay tuned , you never know when he may get more screen time
Dave, how could you forget the Valiant Brothers? Mercy Daddy! Also Bruno and Bruiser.
I'll add them to the ever-growing list...
At my age. I'm lucky to remember to tie my shoes..... but you are right. My mistake forgetting Boogie & Luscious.
I’m not trying to be that guy but did he just say NEGRO tag team???
It was said out of respect, nothing less.
@@daveburzynski8207 I hope so but coming from the black community a lot of people would look at it differently, just a thought
Kurt Von Hess and Karl Von Shotts One of the Most Hated Tag Teams! @ROX-TV
