First let me say a huge thank you to my subscriber Henry Hart for suggesting this video. It cost me about $9M and took about 20 hours to record and edit, but I believe it was worth every dollar and every minute.
Railing options:
The color of your railing determines the color of your anchor as well. Chrome comes standard with the purchase of a yacht. Gold is a $750,000 upgrade. It costs $100,000 to purchase Chrome after you've purchased Gold railing.
Lighting options:
Presidential lighting only lights the decks on the starboard and port sides of the yacht. Vivacious lighting does the same as Presidential but it also has bright light stripes on the outside on each deck level on the starboard and port sides.
Important tip - pay close attention to the photos for the lighting options. You're really getting two colors. The color you select will be on the starboard and port sides of the yacht. It will come with a secondary accent lighting color that covers most of the square footage of the deck area. Green has Rose accents, Rose has Green accents, Blue has Gold accents, and Gold has Blue accent lighting.

I don't buy Shark cards, so it takes many, many hours of doing missions and heists to make enough money to pay for all of this. I can't complain, I am just playing a game after all, but it does take a lot of time.
+Champlette2 of corse, and I couldn't image grinding all it!!!! I would think it would be easier with shark card. Maybe one you get more profit from this you could get a shark card.

Hey! Great video! You missed one small but awesome detail. The most espensive color (Blue and Gold) actually makes the helicopter a reflective metallic gold. It's the only one like it in the game and IMO it actually is a better looking/more true gold than the $5Mil gold swift deluxe.

In the end I chose Aquarius Voyager with golden Light :) It looks really amazing but cost me 10 Million xD The Name is "Why is the Rum Gone?" :D

Thank you, Sammy! Yes, in fact I spent over $9 million buying all of those colors and lighting options. I can't even remember how many Pacific Standard heists I had to do to pay for all of that, ha ha!! It took about 8 or 10 hours to edit, plus several hours to record them all, but it was worth it. I'm so glad I did it and that you're all able to really see the colors before you buy them.

I went nearly broke making this video so that's why I had to use a friend's yacht (unfortunately at night in the game) for the last style.

It's the Classico! I've tried all of the colors and the Classico was the one I had to keep. It changes color based on how much sunlight there is. I absolutely love it.

Just bought an Aquarius after 3 years of playing, spent 9.72 million on a Classico color scheme, which looks much better with gold fittings, and a presidential gold (looks a bit more opulent and subtle without the flashy side stripes) lighting, and named it "The Ruby of Adria". I don't regret spending a single cent! Love the in-depth reviews and useful content, you deserve more subscribers!

ha ha... sorry I helped you spend your money! On the other hand, you can make a lot back with your yacht if you do the Piracy Prevention CEO work, especially in a room full of friends. $30,000 per hour is a nice little bonus on top of import/export work.
Champlette2 I have four biker businesses and vehicle cargo running in cycle, vehicle cargo basically pays for buying supplies and when the businesses is filled up it gives me about 1,3M$ to deliver it all, so it's okay to spwnd a little money now and then ;-). How do you start Piracy Prevention ?
You have to be on your yacht and somewhere on the outer decks (not inside the cabin) to start it. You need to be a CEO in a session with at least one other player who is not in your organization (can be invite only room). Go the Interaction Menu then >SecuroServe CEO >VIP Work >Piracy Prevention (it's at the bottom of the list). After you start, you can leave your yacht and you'll still get the 30,000 (if you friends don't go to the upper deck of your yacht while you're gone). You just can't get into any buildings during the 10 minutes that it's running. That's it! Sightseer is another really easy one and it pays $25,000 if you take more than 10 minutes to complete it. It's a little less if you do it faster. I highly recommend using a Buzzard for that one.

+Burnsy Very tough questions.... I'm having trouble deciding which is my favorite. Right now, I might say it's the Command color because it looks so different depending on the time of day and weather.. As for the lighting, I think I like Presidential better than Vivacious because the bars on the sides with Vivacious are a little too bright for me. I would probably choose Presidential Blue with the Gold accent lighting. The blue on the sides really looks more like a soft white light and the gold accents make the decks look golden at night.
These videos are really useful. Remember watching this when I wanted my yacht and I think it helped. I think one of your other videos has convinced me to move office to the Lombank instead of Maze Bank just because of the view.

Champlette2 should i get either pristine,azure or uniform? I'm stuck
big panda ladd That's a tough call. The Azure is very nice, but the Uniform has a very sharp quality. I'd probably pick Uniform. I suspect the sunlight and reflections from the water will be really cool on that one.
Have had the hardest time deciding between the Classico or going for a darker color such as Command. I would be a much bigger fan of the Battleship if it wasn’t for the yellow helipads. I originally thought I would go with Continental but I’m not a fan of how light the deck is compared to the first 2 options I listed. Great video though, I can’t believe after 4 years this is one of the only videos showcasing the colors.
This has always been high on the list of the most watched videos on my channel. I guess not many other GTA RUclipsrs took the time to showcase the colors and styles. This is a tough decision, so I feel your pain. I changed mine several times before I finally stayed with the Classico. Now I wouldn't trade that for any other style. It's by far my favorite.
Champlette2 I saw someone use gold fittings with the Classico in a thumbnail and thought it was a great compliment to the colors. I may have to go with that.

The yachts and their upgrades are so expensive, and I was lucky enough to have lots of time to play to make quite a bit of GTA money to blow on making the video, but I know a lot of players need to be to watch their money carefully so hopefully this does help.

Well, this was actually the second yacht I purchased - the first one I got was Nautical with Vivacious Blue Lighting and Chrome Railings as I wanted something nice and simple.
For my second one, I decided to go with Intrepid with Vivacious Gold Lights and Gold Railings, I really enjoy the sleek combination of Black/Red/Gold :)

@@Andrew-ey4ti I absolutely love the Classico color. Depending on how much sun there is, the dark color on top can have a bluish glow or a greenish glow to it. I love how it changes color that way. I also like the Ruby style a lot. If I couldn't have Classico, Ruby would be my 2nd choice.

I was really looking forward to spending ridiculous amounts of time clicking back and forth staring at different colour schemes until my eyes are red, trying to imagine how different lighting options would look like, only to have to go back two colours because I forget what they look like - Then BOOM.

Incredible video just what I was looking for. Helped me a lot in deciding the colors... Not that I have enough for a yacht 😂
You can try doing VIP Work like "Hostile Takeover" and "Sightseer" to make 20,000+ for just 10 minutes or so, and you can do that by yourself in a private session. Also, the "Trash Talk" mission pays especially well if you take just over 6 minutes to complete it. I use my buzzard to do that.
remarkably this is the only video on youtube which reviews all of the yacht colors. too bad we can't see them all at day and night and whilst you walk on the yacht. i understand, it's a lot of work. still can't decide though, i currently own the continental but i like the ruby, command and classico as well. i really can't choose so i guess i'll just stick with the continental, swift looks pretty good with this color option.
Yes, I wish I could have reviewed them while walking on the yachts as well. The biggest issue was the time it took. Thanks for recognizing that. It did cost a fortune, and this was back before there were businesses so I had to earn that money the hard way, playing the Pacific Standard Heist with my friends every night (legitimately, doing all the setups and the finale). It's so much easier to make big money now than it was then.
This is a wonderful yacht preview video. I'm sure it is no accident that the pictures RockStar provide are not that accurate, enticing people to spend ridiculous amounts of cash getting their yacht look right. Even with this video, I did waste a lot of money getting the right look.
I ended up going with Battleship, with presidential gold/blue lighting and chrome fixtures (not sure why RockStar or anyone else think yellow gold is cool or high end looking). Looks great during the day and at night. This video claims it is very dark at night, but that was in fact a glitch in the game. Occasionally the lighting doesn't work right and the yacht lights don't properly engage. Battleship is just as bright as any of the other dark colors with proper illumination of the helipads at night.
I did try vivacious lighting, and while I appreciate it being brighter, and it adding illumination to the staircases, I just can't get over how bad it looks by day and how choppy it looks at night from a distance (very pixelated and 16 bit looking). The render is far smoother and more realistic on the presidential lighting. I wish they had better options though, often the deck lighting doesn't look great, but the exterior looks okay or vice versa. Too bad we can't control interior and exterior lights separately.
Despite the common wisdom that the Pisces is better than the Aquarius, I have had both, and while it is annoying that one cannot easily move from stern to bow on the top deck, I like the look and larger portholes of the Aquarius. I also find that the smaller helicopter is easier to land in tight spots (and don't notice much of a speed difference), and the luxury boat that comes with it, really is pretty sweet, albeit allegedly slower.
I've heard that Piracy Prevention is easier with the Pisces, but frankly, encouraging a bunch of griefers to come and kill me on my yacht isn't worth the cash one can win.
I think when I mentioned the Battleship style looked darker at night, that may well have been my TV settings. It looked more black than navy blue. I've got a better TV now than when I made this video, and it's not as dark now as it used to be. That's the only color that I thought looked good with the gold railings only because they highlighted the yellow/gold accent stripes on the yacht. You're right, I much prefer the chrome over the gold as a general rule. I agree with you on the vivacious lighting too. It's just a bit too obnoxious from a distance.
Champlette2 not your TV. I had the same bug happen one day when I had a Pisces Prestine. It was like some of the deck lighting and the helipad lights didn’t know it was dark. Only happened once. But it looked exactly the same as in this video.

Excellent video as always! This and your other yacht videos helped me a ton with deciding how to paint my last minute yolo yacht purchase :) What a week for discounts this one was. I was so torn between Pisces and Aquarius tho, but in the end decided to go with the Aquarius, I just like the modern look more and I can picture chilling on such yacht would be more comfy with all the extra cannopies. Hopefully the windows blocking the top path won't be too annoying :) Went with Pristine color scheme, Vivacious Gold lighting and Chrome railings, loving the look so far, but I yet have to see it in the night from far away.
Wondering where to park it tho, whether Vespucci beach or Pacific bluffs so I can see it as frequently as possible or somewhere in the north for easier Piracy Prevention.
Nice to see you again! Pacific Bluffs is nice, if you find yourself going up and down the coast a lot. If you want to do Piracy Prevention with less interference in a public session, further north would definitely be best, or maybe south east. There's no good reason for other players to be out in the southeast, so that might be a good choice for that.

Now the question is if I wanna hide my most expensive purchase in no-man's land for couple easier missions per week or just display it where I can see it regularly. I am on the west coast pretty often indeed, either for Chumash bunker sales or for crates / vehicles. Probably gonna go with the latter option, after all I bought the yacht as a gift for myself :)
@@Jefffrrry Well, I'll tell you a cool trick. You can place your yacht directly behind your Chumash bunker but you'll need the help of at least 2 other friends with yachts who don't mind paying to my their yachts to help you. Have two friends put their yachts in the Lago Zancudo area and then you do it too, after they've moved there. They will be closer to where the river meets the ocean. I believe the 3rd placement will be the one directly behind the Chumash bunker. You can also jump from public session to public session until you find one that has yachts already in that area. That may get you the sweet yacht spot too. I absolutely adore having mine there. It's a beautiful sight from my bunker.

Great video, I've never seen a battleship colour in game, but went to change to it after watching this for the second time since you first posted it. As I was flying to my yacht I saw one for the first time, but it looked hideous with gold railings, but it matched the yellow stripe that it had. I thought I would have to get gold to match too, but did you know that the grey stripe on the batlleship in your video is because we chose chrome. The stripe changes colour to match. I'm not sure if this happens with the other colour options too? maybe this video is worth revisiting for you or maybe there is no real interest in the yachts now. Also with the gold railings & yellow stripe, the yellow heli pads match better, but I like the contrast that I get with the standing out! Keep up the good work!

I ended up going with Battleship, as the gray-black coloring matches my helmet, and the yellow helipads match my mask! The Battleship was definitely depicted as not being quite as luxurious in the picture on the website! As soon as I first saw my new yacht with the color up close, I was immediately thinking, "this was the right call." The tents have a nice beige color that I was pleasantly surprised by, even!
Nice! That light-colored deck on the Battleship option is nice too. It's affected dramatically by the lighting colors that you choose. I'm so glad you're happy with the yacht color you picked!
