I watched an episode of Unknown Coating where he dunked two valve covers in a turkey fryer with a strong solution of Simple Green heated to 180⁰ -200⁰F and it removed the coatings as well as degreased them. I'm going to try it myself.
I used Kleanstrip aerosol Aircraft Paint Stripper and it is violent but works. I could use a hard plastic spatula and a wire brush for the weld. The key was to never let the stripper to dry or it hardened. I scored the surface with 220 grit sandpaper togive an initial bite than sprayed with stripper. I only let it stand for 5-10 min (paint start bubbling) and start scraping
I’ve tried everything and nothing is easy, I’m trying to do 2 motorcycles wheels now and I’m ready to take them somewhere to have them dipped or blasted

I gave up and used oxy-acetylene and burned it off in a few minutes from my 911 roll bar. Brush off the soot and it was ready to paint.
Will this work on wheels too?

Nope. Not easy, but do-able!
Try laser cleaning
Not to be that guy but… gloves, mask, and eye protection should be worn while doing this.
