    That's something we can agree on. At the end of the day, i don't think Floyd went out of his way to fight everybody and in reality no one in boxing does. Hagler is one of my favs but im sure peeps can say he didn't try to fight certain fighters. As a fighter, I think Pacquiao is exciting and I was a fan of his back in the day. I just never really thought he was all that great of a fighter and the acclaim and recognition he receives for being one of the best is ridiculous imo.

    The one thing I DON'T like about Pacquiao and Freddie Roach is this catch-weight nonsense. Even though Oscar was 35 and past his prime when Floyd beat him, I give Floyd much more credit for his win over Oscar because he fought Oscar at Oscar's weight at 154 and didn't ask Oscar to come down. Pac not only asked Oscar to come down, but to come down to 145 instead of the WW limit of 147. That's a punk more IMO.

    @preo2 12 лет назад

    I have a lot of Floyd fights on tape and I just don't recall him calling out Oscar in post fight interviews until not to long before they fought. I'll take your word for it though. I know he called out Shane a few times. As far as Pac and Oscar, I never gave Pac props for his win over Oscar. He fought a much worse Oscar than Floyd fought. Oscar was weight drained and gaunt at the weigh-in because of the catch weight crap that Pac uses. Oscar had to come in at 145, not 147 to fight Pac.

    Floyd been called out Oscar and Mosley years again. There's articles on it, even the biased anti Floyd Hbo commentators have commented on how Floyd had been trying to get a fight with Oscar and Mosley. Check his Ndou fights, Corley other fights, he been called them dudes out. Pacquiao has never called out anyone. Look at the condition of each fighter at the time he fought them. So it's bad that supposedly Floyd fights an old Oscar but it's ok for Pacquiao?

    Margarito was the most feared fighter in the division at one time. Sure, it's easy to diss him now since he's declined, but there was a time when he was CONSTANTLY calling Floyd out and Floyd wanted no part of him. Cotto did call Floyd out when Cotto was at 140, and I have the tape that showed he did. Mosley never ducked Floyd, Mosley moved up from 135 to fight the big fish at the time, which was Oscar at 147. Floyd wasn't even that well known then.

  • @kjackson9000
    @kjackson9000 12 лет назад

    Lol don't know if I already responded to this post, but Margarito was never a factor. Who is on his resume? All he was, over-hyped, cheating, no skilled punching bag. Prime Cotto? Cotto himself never called out FLoyd, he admitted that, and Floyd fought a better version of Cotto than Pacquiao did. Mosley ducked Floyd for years, he and his tooth ache. Floyd went up in weight chasing Mosley and De La Hoya. He tried to fight Tyzu as well. Pacquiao has ducked anyone who is still in their prime

  • @kjackson9000
    @kjackson9000 12 лет назад

    @preo2 yes you are right cotto is a draw. Marquez wasn't a draw until he got more exposure and fought Mayweather, that was his first million buy ppv match. So that actually helped Pacquiao with ppv buys when he fought Marquez for the 3rd time. Pac won't fight Cotto again because he is insisting on some ridiculous catch weight like he has in recent years. Basically he doesn't have many options after his next fight with Marquez. Floyd does

  • @kjackson9000
    @kjackson9000 12 лет назад

    Cotto never called out Floyd, he has always said he will do what his promoter wants him to do. Floyd was going to fight him in 05/06 but Cotto's people said he wasn't ready for Floyd. Margarito hasn't even been relevant for years, no one really ducked him. If you want to continue this like I said in one of my last messages, we can talk via private message because we shouldnt continue to pollute Hagler's page with talk of other boxers

  • @preo2
    @preo2 12 лет назад

    I don't lack anything. I've seen two different interviews when Cotto was at 140 in which he said he wanted to fight Floyd back then, and there was a video right here on youtube in which Floyd was doing an interview and Margarito basically crashed the interview and asked Floyd to fight him. Look it up if you want, I have no reason to lie about any of this. This is not about whether Margarito is a "cheating bum", this is about whether Floyd ducked him, and he did, for YEARS.

  • @kjackson9000
    @kjackson9000 12 лет назад

    Just like you lack the evidence that Cotto called out Floyd for years, there is no evidence for Margarito calling out Mayweather for years either. Margarito is a cheating bum regardless, who doesn't deserve to be in the boxing ring for the crap he pulled. If you want to continue to talk boxing with me, we can do it via private message. We polluted Hagler's video with comments about other fighters and Hagler is the one who deserves the attention

  • @kjackson9000
    @kjackson9000 12 лет назад

    Both fighters are looked as the two top fighters p4p by most people, but Mayweather is the bigger draw, he does better numbers and has more options. He doesn't need pacquiao. He can fight canelo, chavez jr who is leaving top rank, martinez, cotto again or amir khan and still make a ton on money. Pacquiao hasn't made nearly the amount of money (40 mil) that Floyd offered him so why not take it? Now he is fighting Bradley and not making nearly as much while Floyd is gonna cash in on Cotto

  • @kjackson9000
    @kjackson9000 12 лет назад

    @preo2 and I think ultimately at the end of the day arum is going to continue to keep pac from fighting Floyd unless he notices some physical decline in mayweather. You've been quite critical of Floyds resume, you should take a look at pac's resume of recent years.. he has a habit of fighting washed up guys at catchweights, he even tried to rematch Cotto at a catchweight of 148.. I mean come on

  • @kjackson9000
    @kjackson9000 12 лет назад

    @preo2 Floyd has better ppv numbers, pac became ppv relavent after beating his leftovers no one can dispute that. Yes they both presently are the biggest draws in boxing, but Floyd generates more money, especially with the American audience. Pacquiao never agreed to the testing, his advisor Michael konz even said so, even if he did, why would he refuse in the first place? Floyd can fight other guys and make tons of money, khan, canelo, etc. Who else does pac have? Marquez, who beat him?

  • @kjackson9000
    @kjackson9000 12 лет назад

    @preo2 Cotto never called out Floyd find the footage because he never did. Floyd made the offer to fight Cotto after the Gatti fight where Cotto was present btw, and everyone with Cotto's team agreed he was not ready for Floyd, and Arum wanted to build Cotto up as a marketable fighter and didn't want Floyd to ruin him. Cotto never called the man out, he himself said he never pushed for a fight with Floyd.

  • @preo2
    @preo2 12 лет назад

    @kjackson9000 Both guys draw just about an even number of PPV buys and they are the top 2 P4P fighters no matter how you rank them. Why not have an even split of ALL the revenue? You say Pac turned down 40 mil but they offered Floyd 50 mil and he turned that down. You keep saying he's afraid of the drug testing yet he's already agreed to it. I don't blame Pac for wanting an even split, he's just as big a draw as Floyd if not bigger. A 50-50 split is fair for BOTH fighters.

  • @preo2
    @preo2 12 лет назад

    @kjackson9000 Margarito had called Floyd out for YEARS yet Floyd came up with excuse after excuse not to fight him. Instead he fight that bum Carlos Baldomir for a belt that he claims he cares nothing about yet he takes that fight to avoid Margarito? Come on man! Floyd didn't want any part of Margarito back then and everyone knew it. And Pac has agreed to all Floyd's ridiculous demands and now Floyd came up with another excuse, the money! LOL! When does it end?

  • @preo2
    @preo2 12 лет назад

    @kjackson9000 And Cotto called Floyd out on numerous occasions when he was at 140. Go back and look at some of his post-fight interviews from back then. He wanted to fight Floyd and Arum would have made that fight. It was FLOYD who wasn't to eager to fight Cotto back then. Don't you think it's ironic that somehow Floyd never fought these guys when they were younger but now fights them when they are past their peak? That's no accident, trust me.

  • @preo2
    @preo2 12 лет назад

    @kjackson9000 I don't have a dislike for Floyd. In fact, I think he's a brilliant fighter with loads of skill and talent, but the truth is the truth. As far as Shane goes, of course he went after the big fish that was Oscar back then, Floyd was barely known and still making a name for himself at 130. Oscar was the big draw and it only made sense that Shane chose him. In 2006, Shane said that he would fight Floyd after he had some dental work done but Floyd chose not to wait.

  • @kjackson9000
    @kjackson9000 12 лет назад

    @preo2 don't let your dislike cloud your reasoning. Mosley never wanted the fight, he jumped up 2 divisions and fought Oscar, and when an opportunity came up again for him to fight Floyd in 06, he chose not to because of a tooth ache. He called out kosta plenty of times, he didn't want to fight. He offered to fight Cotto, arum didn't want to match them up because he didn't want to ruin Cotto. Cotto himself said arum or himself never pushed for a fight with Floyd

  • @preo2
    @preo2 12 лет назад

    @kjackson9000 Margarito, prime Shane, prime Cotto, Kostya Tyzu, and now Pacquiao. I mean, how many excuses is he going to come up with to avoid Manny? First it was a drug test, the a venue, then a date, now he thinks Manny doesn't deserve an even split? LOL! Damn, just admit that you don't want to fight the guy already instead of going through all this nonsense. This reminds me of Riddick Bowe throwing his WBC belt in the trash rather than face Lennox Lewis, LOL!

  • @preo2
    @preo2 13 лет назад

    @georgiebest1 Yeah but you said Hagler "avoided" Graham so that's kinda saying he was afraid. Graham may have been winning the fight against Jackson but what does that mean? He still got knocked out. Terry Norris won the first round easily against Jackson then got creamed. I don't even recall Graham ever calling Hagler out or him ever being on Hagler's radar. One thing I know for sure though, is that Marvin Hagler didn't "avoid" anyone.

  • @preo2
    @preo2 12 лет назад

    Floyd tried to get a fight with Shane in 2006 and Shane said that he would fight Floyd in early 2007 as soon as he got some much needed dental work done but Floyd never called Shane out again during that period. Floyd didn't call out Oscar until Oscar was 35 and well past his prime. He did call out Tyzu, I'll give you that one.

  • @preo2
    @preo2 12 лет назад

    Yeah but you have to also look at the opponent to. Cotto is a well known fighter with a huge Puerto Rican fan base and a solid PPV draw himself, so of course he and Floyd together will make Floyd a ton of money and certainly more than Pac fighting Bradley and Marquez, but if Pac fights Cotto again I bet he makes at least as much as Floyd or close to it.

  • @preo2
    @preo2 12 лет назад

    I beg to differ. Manny's last fight did more PPV's than Mayweather's last fight. Not by much. but still did so how can you say Floyd is the bigger draw? I say they're about equal in PPV and stature right now, that's why 50/50 is a no brainer for this fight. And even if Floyd fights all those guys you mentioned, he still won't get paid as much as he would fighting Manny.

  • @kjackson9000
    @kjackson9000 12 лет назад

    floyd's fight with cotto did more than what pacman has done his last few fights against marquez and bradley. Floyd got atleast 32 mil fighting Cotto his last fight, imagine the money he can make fighting Cotto in a rematch or fighting Canelo. Pacquiao cant make that unless he fights floyd

  • @kjackson9000
    @kjackson9000 12 лет назад

    @preo2 yea he had a tooth ache and wanted to take a vacation but he knew Floyd was trying to fight his boss Oscar, so why would Floyd wait for Mosley, if he could fight Oscar, a guy he had been chasing for years and make more money?

  • @preo2
    @preo2 13 лет назад

    @georgiebest1 Are you kidding me? You mean the same Herol Graham that got STARCHED by Julian Jackson? LOL! Hagler never avoided ANYONE let alone Herol Graham.
    I got a good laugh out of this though, thanks.

  • @preo2
    @preo2 12 лет назад

    @LambLunch If he had been a number one contender Hagler would have fought him, believe me. Marvin fought every top middleweight in the division when he was champ.

  • @preo2
    @preo2 13 лет назад

    Hagler fought and beat all the top contenders in his division, unlike Floyd Mayweather Jr.

  • @preo2
    @preo2 12 лет назад

    @LambLunch No doubt about it. Hagler would have stopped Herol Graham inside of 6 rounds.

  • @kjackson9000

    Hagler was the man, never got the credit he deserved imo
