Would you be able to make a number 8 Part 2 turquoise video, where we, the viewers, can get a better, up close look at all the number 8 turquoise cabochons that we see on your two treys? Would like to hear your story and/or analysis behind tje matrix of each stone and possibly where you might have obtained them. Thanks turquoiseInAmerica.
What is the BEST WAY TO STABILIZE TURQUOISE? What is the BEST BACKING TO USE TO STRENGTHEN THE TURQUISE, IS IT Dev Con, Epoxy, Jasper, Agate, Super Glue or ___? Who would you recommend stabilizing Turquoise Today? If we're to try and stabilize Turquoise ourselves what would be the best home process to do?
There is a chapter on treatment in Turquoise in America Part Two with stories from reputable treatment providers. I would not recommend do it yourself unless you have lots of rock to ruin as you learn what not to do. I use Devcon for backing.
How rare is powder-blue, natural untreated Number Eight turquoise with a fine golden brown spiderweb matrix? I sometimes see natural Number Eight turquoise that is a light blue, but not with a spiderweb matrix but more spots or nodules. Is that rare?
@@turquoiseinamerica3164 The Number Eight turquoise stones I saw were a light powder blue with fine reddish golden brown spiderweb matrix. They were purported to be natural and “high grade”. They’re not big stones, only a half an inch or so, but they were very pricey.
I did not mean to give that impression. There is a difference between dark web and the lighter red web No 8 depending on in which pocket of clay they were formed. In dark web there is a distinction between the ultra rare black web and other dark web stone that is not at that gem level.

Most turquoise has been treated. Natural turquoise is rare including No.8. How rare depends on the grade.
