- 2018 के आये UPSC results में Jammu के आर.एस पुरा के रहने वाले Harvinder Singh ने 335 Rank हासिल की. NIT श्रीनगर से इंजीनियरिंग करने के बाद Harvinder Private Job करने लगे. हालाकि शुरू से ही हरविंदर UPSC की तरफ जाना चाहते थे, पर आर्थिक मज़बूरी की वजह से वो Private Job छोड़ नहीं सकते थे इसलिए उन्होंने Job के साथ-साथ UPSC की तैयारी शुरू की, जहाँ पहले उन्होंने PMGSY का एग्जाम Clear किया और जम्मू-कश्मीर के उधमपुर में सहायक अभियंता के रूप में कार्य किया. इसके बावजूद वो UPSC के लिए लगातार तैयारी करते रहे. First attempt में उनके हाथ असफलता लगी, पर उन्होंने Give Up नहीं किया और Hard Work करते रहे. आख़िरकार 2018 में उनके Hard Work ने रंग दिखाया और उन्होंने 335 Rank के साथ UPSC की परीक्षा पास की. हरविंदर सिंह उन लोगों के लिए एक जीती-जागती मिसाल हैं, जो नौकरी के साथ-साथ Government Job का सपना देख रहे हैं.

Harvinder Singh of RS Pura, Jammu, did a private job after graduating from NIT Srinagar. Harvinder Singh couldn't pursue UPSC because he wasn't financially privileged and hence stuck to his private job to make sure he earns well. He started preparing for UPSC CSE along with his job and cleared the PMGSY and served in Udhampur in J & K as an assistant engineer. Harvinder worked hard and continued to prepare for UPSC CSE as he's always wanted to crack it. He couldn't crack UPSC in his first attempt but did not give up. Harvinder was successful in his second attempt as he scored the 335th rank in the UPSC CSE results in 2018. Harvinder Singh is an inspiration to all who wish to crack competitive exams or government exams along with their jobs.

लो एक और महाशय इन्होंने भी upsc सिर्फ इसलिये चुना ताकि देश सेवा कर सकें। सारे upsc पास छात्र यही कहते हैं कि मैंने upsc देश सेवा के लिए चुना है यदि ऐसा वाकई में होता तो हमारा देश कब का भ्र्ष्टाचार मुक्त हो गया होता।
