I lovee it!! Perfect warm up to introduce the vocab. But if I have 20 students, I cannot give them 2 cards per student, will the activity still work in the same way??
@@marianamontes4662 There are two ways you can play this game with larger groups. The first one is to split the class into two groups and play in turns: one group is playing, the other group is “helpers”. The should stand behind the chairs and help if the student in front of them is not quick enough to react. Then they switch and helpers become the runners. The second way is to switch not only their seats but also the cards. For example, if you say: “Tiger and monkey, switch, they should stand up and switch their card and then take the seat on the opposite side. In this case every student will play at least twice: first with one card, second with another.
Yes, I have a few game ideas for practicing conditionals but I am going to share them only in May-June. One of them is Gapped Story when students are given only the beginning and the end of the story and they have to complete it buiding a chain of sentences with conditionals to connect the two parts. Possible variants of the beginning and the end should be picked up from two different boxes. So, you need to prepare them in advance on pieces of paper. For example, the beginning of the story: "If Jerry didn't like ice-cream...", the end : "the global warming would stop". And students, working in teams, should offer their variants of the middle part. İt's a challenging task and it promotes creativity
Which topic do you think is more interesting as a title for a dissertation 1-the effect of using realia and pictures on efl vocabulary learning 2-the effect of using games on efl vocabulary learning Actually iam working on efl vocabulary learning .if you have another techniques or tools which can affect vocabulary plesa share them .i appreciate you efforts and you are doing really a great ,great jobbbbbbb continue
It depens on your reseach interests. "Using gamification" sounds like a wider conceptual issue and it affects not only vocabulary learning but also students' productivity, motivation and engagement
