  • This video shows how to take the closed pumpkin form and turn it into a jack-o-lantern. I share two different versions of Jacks that I make; however, your own creativity is the limit. I hope you enjoy the video.
Also, if you are enjoying the videos on my channel, please like and subscribe.

Hi, Ronda! Thanks for sharing your pumpkin creations. They are adorable. I would love to try them for the fall. BTW...LOVE Billy Joel!

He's my muse! I listen to him all the time. I was fortunate enough to go see him a couple of years ago. He's amazing. I hope I'm able to still create at that level when I'm his age.

How does one create a damp box. I plan to do this for my smaller work. I usually just wrap in a trash bag for a few days to a week before letting my work dry uncovered.

What I use is not a traditional damp box (I'm a little scared of mixing plaster). My box has some contractor's insulation board with holes drilled in it and a damp sham-wow towel (I saw another potter using one, and asked). It doesn't keep the clay damp as long as a traditional box, but it works for my purposes. I can usually keep a piece workable inside it for two weeks.

      It's also much lighter.
