DFW ROCKS!!!!!! I moved here 30 years ago from Iowa and have loved it from the start. It is consistently growing, affordable living, beautiful weather most of the time and always something to do.
Live in Fort Worth and I drive from the North to South on 35 daily for years. DFW is amazing. The people are amazing. 22 years here and it's the perfect place for a home, career, health, wealth, sports, entertainment...everything. Come, be nice and friendly. Enjoy the food and live safe for cheap!!
Honestly, I could care less about the people who say fort worth is a terrible city. fort worth is amazing and beautiful. I live in fort worth and also was born here.😎
Proud ca natives say to me at work .. oh people in south dislike ca folks because they are unable to move to ca .. true or not ? Honesty please ... personally I’m trying leave ca for Texas 1 yr time plan
Been to all the Big Cities and a lot of smaller ones, but have called this one home half of my adult life. Still prefer FW to Big D. and Houston. Great presentation.
Excellent video quality, takes you on an adventure into the DFW Metroplex. Stretching your mind around the statistics and the why, what and where we live and thrive. A touch on the infrastructure, the population growth, inventions, innovation and the "firsts" of our history. Makes claim to the fasting growth and backs it up with the statistics! If I didn't live here already, I'd be beating a pathway to an airport with a destination at DFW Airport! Growth, opportunity, stable housing market!
I grew up in Dallas but haven't lived there since 1982. In 2010, the population of that area was growing by 300 per day for the last 30 years. I wonder if it's still growing at that rate. All I can say is, Big D, may oh yes! All my bills are sent either to a Dallas address or a Charlotte, NC, address. So that tells you something. It's kind of sad the malls aren't still popular. Oh, well!
The airport is like a city. I picked my ex wife up from Sweden at DFW, and when we left the pick up area you get on a highway for awhile. My ex ask me what city we were in. I told her we haven't left the airport. A highway in the airport. Wild.
We are excited! seriously considering the move-although we have lived in NY our whole lives- we can no longer justifying staying- between the cost of living, politics and new gun laws- feels very anti~american..the Metroplex appears to be the answer- hope I am not making a mistake that will hurt my family- but it feels right!
I am from the metroplex. It is an unbelievable place to live. I miss it dearly. If you would like to know any of the best areas to shop or hang out, message me. I would love to give tips/pointers. :) However, I would like to say that the first indoor mall was Southdale Center in Edina, MN.
This is the place to be. D/FW has what you are looking for. I've lived in this area all my life, and it's the most livable place in the nation. We've got the complete package. Come on over!
@narv2010 Im sorry to hear that... I love Dallas and will continue to love it so much to do and the city itself is trying to make it better every year. Well I hope you find something comparable to what you want, us Texas people aren't bad.
12 years ago a brand new 3500 sqft house in a good school district for under 300k wow now in 2023 a Brand new 1600sqft house with 3bd 2bath 2 garage in a low income neighborhood starts around 300k a big change
At least we have a economy thats is so good we can build. Look at NYC traffic! Cant build what they need apparently. Our Economy is as good as Germanys.
It is interesting to see how the market has changed in almost 10 years. For instance, a few of the companies listed at 4:00 have drastically cut back on operations or essentially no longer exist (RadioShack and Blockbuster Video). Now I'm concerned that JCPenney and Neiman Marcus, the two department store companies headquartered in DFW, could join them given all the talk about bankruptcy. I doubt there would be liquidation, but a restructuring and/or reorganization (and the economic impact that entails) is not out of the question.
I'm a New Yorker planning on relocating to DFW this August.. I absolutely love it there and this video just assures me that I'm making the right choice. The people are great as is the cost of living. New York sucks. I kinda want to be selfish and not tell anyone about this great city so it doesn't become overpopulated :-/
+bsc1959 that's because it's negative. Folks don't tend to focus on the negative things. I'm sure you have skeletons in your closit as well. If folks wanna know that though I'm pretty sure they can look it up.
What do you expect with 7,200,000 people? There are cities with 300,000 people with 8,000 beheadings a year. We probably have 40 murders a year out of 7,200,000 people thats nothing but sure compare it to green bay with 100,000 people and sure we look like Juarez.
If any liberals or young people are considering moving here, please do not bring over your rude-arrogant attitudes. When you see someone say "hello," make small talk, hold doors open for people. Please do not vote to make this great state the equivalence to your home state. Texas is the way it is because of its policies, I understand if you dislike republicans that is okay, but please do not encourage left leaning policies here, it seems as if the more people of such types move here, the more arrogant-hip-elitist attitudes start plaguing our cities. Just adapt to Texas culture. we aren't mean people, but we do dislike those who want to ruin this great state.
+The Middle Man Can't wait to move to this city where I belong. I grew up in San Francisco all my life and have strong Constitutional Conservative views. Ted Cruz 2016! (yes, i know he dropped out)
Sadly, Texas is slowly dying due to the amount of libs coming in from California. It didn't work in California what makes you think it'll work in Texas?
Neymar - Where are you from? I hope to avoid sending my children to any school you have attended. Please as a service to us all....I implore!!! WHERE did YOU go to school!?????
I'm thirty single finishing my associate degree, and want better job opportunity which for my degree there's none up here but low wage lousy weather I hate the cold, & no. chances in climbing retail latter. Those in other fields like nurseing, auto & furnace can get good jobs and paid way better because companies are willing to pay them better and more due to their career being in high demand in Michigan . However those with design- arts, digital graphic and humanities can't get a job in their field because employers only want to pay low wage ,and not what the employees know their jobs worth. What employees fail to see in MI is young adults need to have good income to survive on and were no longer going to wait around with no choice but to look outta state 'Its MI Employers & Gov. Fault Young People Are Done With Job Games & Feed Up With No Job Opportunity Incent We No Longer Want To Stay In MI!'. Anyhow many of my young-adult friends have already moved down south, and have finally found a good part and full time jobs within same degee as myself along with affordable living down there. I hope to move to TX. 'The State of Oppertunity, Good Hospitality & above all Better Jobs for a Better Living!' I'm single had to file for gov. aid due to lousy wages and not enough hrs. offered here in M.I. I have two cats, a dog, two crested geckos & two finches. I'm looking to move down to TX. in two years with all of my pets to somewhere in outskirts of Dallas, Fortworth, Flowermound or Houston TX through job transfer. I really want to know more about TX & what pro. & cons. are to moving from dead-end Michigan down to what I heard Texas a land of 'fresh start opportunity is!' Can anyone give me advice. I'm looking to purchase a Fast-lease small home with mini backyard for my pets. Also preferably area where there's young adults & Nature! ('CAN ANYONE GIVE ME SOME GOOD ADVICE I'D APPRECIATE IT VERY MUCH THANKS!')
... So many new homes... So unsustainable.... For a transit junkie like me, this seems like a bad place. Fortunately, there is DART! Not the best system in the world mind you... With a few improvements and denser housing, this place would be a heaven. (It actually makes me sad to see places so rich and successful as compared to cities outside the developed world, just saddening...)

Can you believe that since this video was made in 2010 the DFW Texas area has grown by 1 million people? Its 7.5 million now.
Too much :(
Ands projected to grow up to 9-10 mill in 2040
Hey when ya have something good going people want it
Yeah, got invaded by Californians determined to turn it into a replica of the liberal shithole they left!

Wow... That makes me VERY happy to be in the Real Estate market... thank you
I know this video is old, but as of 2018 people and business continue to relocate here. The house I live in has double in price over the last 6 years.
I am from the metroplex. It is an unbelievable place to live. I miss it dearly. If you would like to know any of the best areas to shop or hang out, message me. I would love to give tips/pointers. :) However, I would like to say that the first indoor mall was Southdale Center in Edina, MN.
aviator1228 can you please tell me what areas are best to live and still affordable? We are looking to possibly move to Tx from CA
I hope it's really soo good, bc want to move there from Jersey
This is the place to be. D/FW has what you are looking for. I've lived in this area all my life, and it's the most livable place in the nation. We've got the complete package. Come on over!
@JohnRhysMusician probably wasnt snow. it doesnt snow here very often.
There will be more growth and those improvements will be made. Trust me this is not a bad place at all.
Both cities are nearly the same as far as amenities. I would say that Dallas has more.
@narv2010 Im sorry to hear that... I love Dallas and will continue to love it so much to do and the city itself is trying to make it better every year. Well I hope you find something comparable to what you want, us Texas people aren't bad.
LOL I forgot about this comment, probably I was in a bad mood that time or just trolling cuz I LOVE Dallas its my home city :)
Why is that? I'm a bit biased, but I love Dallas. The city offers an exorbitant amount of opportunities for families and business.
I wrote that a year ago, I ain't like that any more. I already decided to become a petroleum engineer so that I can live in Dallas when I grow up.
I NEEEEEED IT!!!!!!!😢. How do get there. Im in Penna right now. I need some Texas 😀
12 years ago a brand new 3500 sqft house in a good school district for under 300k wow now in 2023 a Brand new 1600sqft house with 3bd 2bath 2 garage in a low income neighborhood starts around 300k a big change
I'm living there
Fort worth!!!!!!
I call it the Messoplex because it's a constant area of highway construction and will only get worse. I mean highway construction EVERYWHERE.
At least we have a economy thats is so good we can build. Look at NYC traffic! Cant build what they need apparently. Our Economy is as good as Germanys.
+ApocalypticStorms Germany will suffer a blowback for allowing in an invasion of refugees.

Im in California, but just off the top of my head I'd say, why not try Nashville instead. It's a shorter move and that's a booming city....Good luck
What about Beavis & Butt-head? It’s home to them.
