What I find funny about this is that my entire strategy in Stellaris revolves around ships with the disruptors that can be produced quickly. I didn't even do testing to determine that was the best, it's just what I did LOL.
@@ssgoko88 wait I thought this was an april fools joke, and that everything was in reverse in the video and the ships that got terminated were in reality the ones that would win you mean to tell me this video wasn't lying?!
Disruptor good, me like. At least now I won't have to curse the auto-generated designs for putting them on my big ships just because they have good penetration.
Very informative for new player like me who just finish watching the weapons tier list and trying ship design. Now i can dump half the desgins i was gonna try.
I go for the max with roleplay and usually end up using weapons based on what would make sense for my faction. It makes wars harder but more fun. Ex: Energy is cheaper then ammo so my mega corps usually go all out with energy weapons and save ballistic weapons for the big expensive stuff. And on that same note, it's easier to cover something in tons of armor than it is to make sure it has enough energy to power shields and energy weapons, so they use less shielding to compensate for the load on the reactors.
Meanwhile Psionic fleets running around with literal Chaos Magic protecting the ships and being cloaked in cloth to avoid detection like no other cloth can
my ship desgain are usally based on the empire i am playing as. (ex. if i am playing as a faction from star wars, i will use energy and armor on my ship, and if i am playing as the MCRN from the expance i will use missles and armor)
I just get mods that basically turn my Battleships into my Corvettes, and can outrange corvettes and kill them well even in the new battleship weapon slot meta. lol
@@kasparkannel3108 Oh I thought you mean the anti late game crisis ship design. For multiplayer I guess full kinetic artillery with 3 shield hardening accessory ? consider the research cycle and living metal is hard to get.
armor is strong as ever, so meh but what about full-armor(so they are ready to brawl right after uncloaking near enemy) cloaking disruptor destroyers? or cruisers, they have weaker cloaking, but maybe better at fighting? not figured it out yet
Disruptors/Arcs combo should be outlawed in lobbies and on any difficulty lower than Grand Admiral and 3X crisis. Because this combo is the literally *Y O U R O N L Y W A Y T O S U R V I V E* in the [GA & 20X crisis] runs. It's just THAT powerfull, so any other weapon in the game just useless there, and it's totally ruins all the fun in "sane" runs.
