This video is so fascinating. I've never thought that earthworms weren't alive, but I've never thought about them in terms of their own motivations. It's really interesting hearing you describe them needing to find their burrows after the rain has passed. And thinking about them. Having some kind of motivations that aren't simply robotic processes is very intriguing.
Hello Professor, How you have this much knowledge and you Remember it all? Do you revise things on a regular basis? Please tell me It could help me a lot. Also Sorry If I caused any Disturbance or Distraction. But Please Reply How you do this.
Do you think you'll eventually make separate playlists for entomology and for vertebrate zoology? Since I'm pretty sure a vast majority of zoologists are either entomologists or specialize in some group of vertebrates, there's probably a lot more to talk about with phymum Arthropoda and phylum Chordata than with any of the other phyla.
I had to dissect a lumbricus terrestris. It was gross to touch and hard to cut open because its so slimey and small. Still had fun at my course tho. Thanks for freshing up my mind on this topic.
No doubt medical staff are pretty emphatic about counting all the leeches after certain procedures - otherwise you may just end up with a suspiciously frequent number of nosebleeds after nose surgery... : /
Enjoy your vids as always! Any chance you could take on the people who dont believe in global warming next? I just got into the dumbest argument, and im just honestly not as good at debate as you are, or with words in general lol
Throttle me with your worm knowledge
They were the subject of darwin's last book.

I'm so happy you're doing some more phylogeny, especially now that I'm getting more interested in biology
I literally have an exam, and I have to memorize these 2 classes… this just popped up on my homepage.. matrix confirmed.

Darwin's last book was on earthworms, A worthwhile subject. I am contracting my pharynx with excitement.

Omg I feel so lied to because as a kid I thought breaking the worms was HELPING them make new worms and not killing them 😭😭😭
Our mouth, throat, stomach, intestines, & anus are essentially like a worm, our ancestor?
I knew it, episode 3 was gonna have worms…
Don 🤭
You should tho the phyllum Echinodermata!!! I had a presentatión about it, a tutorial about them from you would've helped me a lot 🫶
I'll get there eventually.
