I was done with him when the accusations of his race came up for the second time then I said there might be some truth to this, and he started lying about things he shouldn’t have lied about. And if you’re a white person who is down with black folks and their causes, I’m all four he didn’t have to do all this fakery. And I started noticing when he starts to talk. It’s like he goes into this act. I believe that is not his national speaking voice he’s trying to sound. “BLACK” really really doesn’t need to.

I met Shaun King in 2017 at my university for a Black History month event. He gave an incredible speech and was super nice when we took a photo together afterward. He could definitely be a great ally to black people without black-fishing (if he truly is not part black) and definitely needs to be held accountable for the mismanagement of donation funds.

Im as white girl as it gets, I also live in Atlanta city limits and am definitely the minority in my neighborhood. You know how I help black people.. .First, I just be myself. Second, I just talk to my neighbors, be nice to them, help them with their yards, watch their dogs when they go on vacation. I shop at my neighborhoods local black owned supermartket instead of Publix. Ya know, just generally treat my neighbors who dont look like me like people. It's that easy.

Genetics are strange and you can inherit recessive genes when you're Native. My ex-husband has 8 siblings who have a wide spectrum of skin colors and features. They have Native ancestors from several tribes plus Black & white ancestors. You never know. There is no phenotype and it depends on how involved you are in your respective tribe's culture, traditions and language. I'm enrolledin a different tribal Nation and only have 2 known non-Native ancestors. If you are involved in your West Indies culture and your family's Black culture then you are right to call yourself Black. It would also show up in your DNA tests. Idk about Shaun King's DNA results but his fundraising is super shady. That is a fact.

My nephew who is my brothers son for the longest did not look bi-racial. His mother is white. My brother and his ex wife share two children , a daughter who is my brothers twin and my nephew who resembles his mother. My nephew who is now 14 looks bi-racial and resembles my brother. Unfortunately there is no linear roadmap for genetics.

My Aunt (RIP) and my Uncle are both Black. My looks Black but has a white parent, I think his mother. His birth certificate says he’s White because it was illegal to be in an interracial couple of marriage in those days. This was also in Arkansas, the Deep South. In order for my aunt to marry my uncle, she had to either get her birth certificate changed to White or he had to get his changed to Black. Not saying this is what happened with Shaun King, but this may give some insight.

The fact that people think that biracial means you're supposed to be dark is astounding. True story: I have biracial grandchildren. 7 of them are biracial. I have 9. When I tell you only one of them is dark. When my daughter in law had her last son, my son didn't come in time to sign a birth certificate . They put white on it because his mom is Hispanic and white. All 7 of them have straight hair like their moms. Including that one with white on his birth certificate. My son had the police called on him before by a Hispanic person because they saw him with his oldest and thought he kidnapped him! Because my son is dark skinned. Police came took one look at them and apologized for even bothering him because they look just alike down to the deep Sonny Corinthos (from General Hospital) dimples. It's ALWAYS people of color especially black folks that do this. Even with me people (black folks) automatically think I'm mixed because of the length of my hair. It's that backwoods country slavery mentality that irks my soul. Black folks can make any color baby. As I stated only one of those seven actually looks mixed. It's sad actually
