  • I will never buy boxed almond milk again... ever! With the Pampered Chef Cooking Blender, I made fantasticly smooth almond milk in 5 minutes. Then in another couple minutes, we made chocolate milk! Serious money saver right here!
    Pampered Chef Deluxe Cooking Blender (affiliate link): www.pamperedch...
    Recipe I used for the Almond Milk: 1 cup almonds (soaked in two cups of water for 4 hours), 5 cups of water into the blender. Discard soaking liquid, and add the presoaked and rinsed almonds to the blender. Optional addins: 1/8 tsp salt, 1 tsp vanilla, 1 1/2 tsp honey (or agave). Seal lid. Use ALT MILK setting. Strain milk and refrigerate.
    Recipe I used to make is chocolate (adapted from the Minimalist Baker): 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips melted in the microwave in 30 second intervals (took 1 minute). Add to blender with hot strained milk. Turn to ALT MILK and allow to mix for 1-2 minute or until fully mixed.

    I have found that homemade almond milk froths better than almond milk from the store. You can make crackers using the leftover nut pulp.

    I also dried my almond pulp in the Pampered Chef air fryer to use instead of flour.

      Oh really? Have you done a side by side comparison of the taste/texture of homemade vs store-bought? I'd be curious to hear it!

      @@AdventuresinEverydayCooking no, I'm just making every attempt to eat healthier and control cholesterol 💖 once it's dried you have to pulverize it into a fine almond flour though.

    Sorry I’ve bombarded you with questions today but I only found you today and you have some great videos But being from England certain things are different. I only got my air fryer a couple of weeks ago for my birthday and you have given me so many things to try, thank you so much for sharing them ❤

    Will this work in a normal blender as mine is not a high powered one?

    • @AdventuresinEverydayCooking
      @AdventuresinEverydayCooking  Год назад

      You know, that is a great question. I wonder if someone else with a not so powerful blender can answer that for you. Does your current blender do nut butters? If so, then my uneducated answer would be YES! If it doesn't, then maybe not...

    How about trying an oat milk?

    • @AdventuresinEverydayCooking
      @AdventuresinEverydayCooking  Год назад +1

      I do oat milk all the time! I know your regular blender would work just fine for that! Here are the directions:
      ½ cup (125 mL) rolled oats
      1 cup (250 mL) water for soaking
      4 cups (1 L) water for blending
      1½ tsp (7 mL) agave (optional seasoning)
      ½ tsp (2 mL) vanilla (optional seasoning)
      ⅛ tsp (0.5 mL) salt (optional seasoning)
      DIRECTIONS
      Soak the rolled oats in the soaking water for 30 minutes.
      Add the rolled oats, blending water, and seasonings to the Blender. Blend well.
      Strain the mixture through the strainer bag into a bowl and chill before serving.
