Soooo that thing I've tried to sell online for 2 years but hasn't sold I should donate, lol? Looking forward to this ebook, I'm so ready to be rid of clutter. Thanks for being real & direct & even sometimes tough! 😊
Got mine and printed it, I need to be able to carry it with me. I only have clear bags, I also use the extra grocery bags I have to donate to Women's shelter I support.
I use gifting as a way to help my 3 year old go through his toys and clothes. We frame it as “giving to other kids”. Sometimes he will just bring something to me and say he wants to give it to other kids so I put it in the donation box. It’s so great seeing him understanding the concept
This was what really got my child going too. She was hesitating about some toy and I said “You’re never really playing with this but didn’t [friend without much toys] love it the last time she came to visit? Maybe we could ask her dad if we can gift it to her?” My kid was quite mind blown with the idea, even though she knew we already donated all decluttered toys. Something about my proposal made it so much more real to her that other kids could receive and love her old things. Now she loves decluttering!
I used to be a big clothes buyer/consumer and hoarder. I am a naturally born organized person so my clothes situation bugged the heck out of me. (I also recognize the voice you use "Put it in the bag" I call that voice that I too use, "Sarge in Charge.") I tried a capsule wardrobe SO many times but failed. I was constantly not wearing certain things yet I would buy them again or I was avoiding certain items yet didn't want to de-clutter them UNTIL I decided for 30 days I would write down in a cheap dollar store notebook why I chose to wear what I was wearing each day. After the 30 days it became clear and obvious that I like light weight clothes (doesn't matter the season) no chunky cable knits for me or even sweaters #2 I like clothes with some sort of animation - could be a bright color, v-neck, polka dots or a scoop hem line or something that's animated to me- and the third thing was structure and comfort, it had to be comfortable to wear - meaning no buttons, items that hang or are too slouchy on my body or tight fitting spandex, tugging or pulling at it all day was not tolerable. It had to fit my body and be comfortable. And finally I loved having a ton of variety. I used the container method on this one (thanks for the tip). All 4 seasons (I live in New England U.S.) has to fit in my closet (except for pajamas, project clothes, outside coats or under garments) to stay. As I now shop for clothes I find myself asking if the garment measures up to my now known standards and find myself putting back more then I am buying. During this process my fantasy-self was also identified and left in the dressing room. Please feel free to pass on this method as it may help another with their clothes.
Wow, I feel the same way about clothes! I’m so tall, I’m afraid I’ll never find that particular length again, LOL! Your method makes sense to me! Thanks for sharing!
I love this!! Ive also realized that I almost never reach for my thick pullover sweaters. I wear my light long sleeves to death. If it's cold, I might wear my very light cardigans or a fleece zip up outside under my coat. It's made me realize I have a whole drawer of sweaters I will wear maximum once a year. It's just funny to see someone else say they don't wear sweaters hahaha
@@fayeshultz4069 Glad I gave you a chuckle! I like the look of sweaters but realized they simply don't work for me so I leave them for the other shoppers to use and love.

Yes, this ^ please! Need some rules to figure out how to declutter papers &/or best ways to organize them for each clutterbug type? I think I'm a bee & the struggle is real because papers pile up around the house until I can figure out the perfect system. Tried filing but 'out of sight, out of mind' & I get overwhelmed using the filing system or even struggle determining how to best categorize my various papers. Clothes & paper clutter are tough! So many reasons why I might need it boggle me. I don't know what is really important to keep or not. I'm sentimental about greeting cards, notes, art, school papers I've written, recipes I hope to make, coupons, sayings or peaceful images I want to use for an art collage, health info articles, etc. Help! I also worry about forgetting where my $ has gone so I save receipts & statements for proof I guess or especially for if/when spouse asks. Not sure if all that is really needed for taxes or whatever. Which receipts or statements matter & which don't? How best to really store important papers or cherished cards, etc. so they hold up a long time?
I LOVE the rules so much! This is awesome! Love love love! And I love the “gifting”! I’ve been wanting to feel the kind and happy part of purging and I love this verbiage! Thank you so much Cas!!! Yay!!!😁

YES - my 4yo son and I have been calling it “sharing” since he was 2, when I first started introducing him to the idea of **sharing** the clothes that no longer fit him (he knows that when his belly shows, out it goes 😂) and the toys he no longer wanted to play with with other kids who didn’t have much/any. It has been a wonderful time of imparting good practices, and a blessing and a lesson for me. I struggle to part with things, but helping him to help others has TRULY helped me as well. And btw, he knows who you are and your name, and enjoys your videos as well - ‘cause you’re smart and silly, just like his Momma. ✊🤪😆♥️♥️♥️

I have severe ADHD and spent most of my life trying to be clean/organized. My sister introduced me to this channel and this is the first video I've watched. I feel like I have hope for the very first time in a VERY long time.
I am in the Take Your House Back space and LOVE your all day decluttering videos! You've been super inspiring and funny! And touching, too. You made me cry with the craft room declutter video.
Joining! TBYH has seriously been a big answer to prayer for me. I also feel that the 3 of you model how to work with others instead of letting competition keep you from sharing. Finally, you just need a "sign off" statement at the end of your videos. Decide on your why and state it there. "I'm always here to help you. I'll see you next time." or something that captures your essence.
I downloaded the e-book because I feel I NEED that push to declutter further and I've just realized how far I've come 😯😯😯 because there is literally only 1 thing in the first week that I can declutter, I do not own those things anymore and for that I thank you, Dawn and other amazing RUclipsrs 💔 you really changed my whole life ... Year ago I was in terrible terrible anxiety, crying over not having home for the dog I want to save and now, thanks to minimalism I'm going to build a tiny house and everything is solved 😍😍 thank you
I've already decluttered my whole house (thanks Marie Kondo, Dawn, Cass, Laura, etc), and I'm relishing the fresh, open sense of freedom that is present in every room of my home. But I'm always on board for more tips, strategies and ideas for dealing with the never-ending barrage of clutter. Can't wait to see what future videos hold.
My house was well under control, but then life happened. I took care of my mom for nearly a year as she battled cancer. I wouldn’t give up those months with her for anything. My house was fairly neglected (dishes, laundry, basics always done-but no decluttering, no organizing, no projects) during that time and I have a lot of decluttering to do now. I’m ready!
Oh my gosh!! I soooo NEED this!! Please help me!! You really hit me hard when you said we have 90 days till 2022!, eye opener!! Really hope I can get this done starting tomorrow! Thank you Cass!🌻

Hi Cas... I've been watching your videos in the last three weeks and I've got to say that you have completely motivated me to declutter my home. It's taken me two weeks but I've finally got to a place where I enjoy opening my cupboards and seeing the organised baskets inside (I'm a ladybug by the way!). I love your tips and advice and am spreading the word to all my friends - thank you! 🥰

I enjoy very much the respect this channel shows for the belongings of others and the necessity to not live in a state of minimalist and perfection. Our stuff is really not garbage -it may not be working for us but it isn't trash and may be gifted to others.
You were my inspiration for purging my basement this past summer. Watched you on HGTV and said I can do this. We donated 2 stuffed full van loads to good will and made 6 trips to the dumpster! I still have stuff but it's alot better. Thanks for the rules they help!!!!

You're awesome!! My husband and I are moving from Michigan to Hawaii in 2 months so we've been selling everything! I've been on a slight minimalist journey over the past few years but still had a TON of stuff. Well, we're getting down to where we're going to move now, 6 suitcases and 6 boxes and that's it! I must fight this battle to LIVE!!! I WILL Conquer!!!🤗
Hey Cas, we need a couple of organizing & decluttering videos from a man’s point of view or aimed towards men. We have been doing a home renovation (over the past three years) and as each room gets done, I used many of your (and Dawn [Minimal Mom] principles & ideas. And they make so much sense. But not so much for my husband. I have his office, garage & basement on my list for this coming year and it’s a tough sell. He wants them done, but won’t get rid of stuff. Instead, he wants space in the garage to just dump in bins and stack somewhere. Just a thought! Always looking forward to your next video.
I love your Master Bedroom boot camp from all day cleaning event!!! I listen to it when I declutter other rooms and I hear our Mahahahaha’s in my sweet dreams. 😂. I am so stoked, thank you so much for putting in this series. I love you!!!!
Cass- I printed the Boot Camp, booklet, and grabbed a black trash bag. Then went into first bathroom sat on floor and went through the cabinet & check list and filled that black trash bag. Cleaned counters and toilet, scrubbed the tub and was amazed with how clean it looked. Then I went into the 2nd bathroom and did exactly the same. Thanks so very much for your help.
Yay!!!😁
Amazing! Your outro had me rolling. You know, sometimes I want gentle energy and sometimes I need someone to YELL at me. This is why you and your crew are such a gift. You all bring a different vibe so we can tune into whatever we need that day. Love it!
Your pushing is what has helped me in the Take Your House Back course. I need it so let's do it 💓 and start 2022 with less stress causing stuff
My favorite term for something leaving my house so I don’t feel bad…..I’m liberating xyz item, so it can be with someone else… and I’m looking forward to you and your coaching style, because the sickening sweet crap that have “shaped” the society we have now is sooo frustrating…so thanks, in advance!❣️❤️
I'm ready. Let's do this!
Bring that energy, girl!!! 💪🏻 I for one, can use it! Love it! I want my house decluttered and clean! Thank you for caring and helping!!
Same! Yes!
Awww, I love that! Tell you son Clutterbug says Hello!
@@Clutterbug - I appreciate the reply! 🥰
He was excited to hear from “Miss Cas”(!!)
When I told him, he said,
“I would like to say, ‘I love you more!’ “
*HUGS*
I have severe ADHD and spent most of my life trying to be clean/organized. My sister introduced me to this channel and this is the first video I've watched. I feel like I have hope for the very first time in a VERY long time.
I'm so ready. Let's do this!
And it's exactly why I like you, bcuz it's not about whether I like you or not, it's about your message and expertise and truth talk! Thanks Cass
You're welcome!
I am in the Take Your House Back space and LOVE your all day decluttering videos! You've been super inspiring and funny! And touching, too. You made me cry with the craft room declutter video.
I am part of the Take Your Houseback group and I LOVE your bootcamp style. Crap gets done! Boom!
Good idea!
I love you Cass! As I sit watching this I see 3 things in my living room that need to go in the trash! Thanks for these videos!
You're welcome!
Yesss! Yell at me! 😂 my house is officially on the clutter bug diet 😝 too much junk in my trunk (and closet, and spare room, and garage lol)
I’m ready!
You can do it!!
Oh my gosh!! I soooo NEED this!! Please help me!! You really hit me hard when you said we have 90 days till 2022!, eye opener!! Really hope I can get this done starting tomorrow! Thank you Cass!🌻
I Love it when you get tough - it gets me moving. I play your podcast that are tough over and over when I need the inspiration. You Rock Cas! Can't wait until the next one.
This came at just the right time! This is just what I needed. Thank you! Can’t wait to declutter, haha! This is how you know you are officially an adult!
I’m ready for a bootcamp. I’ve been decluttering a lot in sept because we couldn’t do much for 3 weeks after Hurricane Ida. I just downloaded ebook and realized I’d already done all of week one. 👏🏻👏🏻. Now I’m even more determined to keep going. Thanks Cass
Ida survivor here -- WAY TO GO! and WHO DAT!
Poor Saints. So close 🥲🥲🥲. Hope you were safe and didn’t have too much damage 🤞🏻
@@michelcristina797 It was a damn fiasco. I will leave it at that!! hahahaaa Gotta be able to laugh at something so crazy. Especially when the insurance companies just shrug. *sigh*
I enjoy very much the respect this channel shows for the belongings of others and the necessity to not live in a state of minimalist and perfection. Our stuff is really not garbage -it may not be working for us but it isn't trash and may be gifted to others.
I say YES!!! If someone needs to declutter, then tough love is what they need.... Thank you for your Declutter Bookcamp eBook... I love it!!!!
Don't be nice! Who needs it!!! I enjoyed bootcamp the first time, so hit me with this one! 💕
You were my inspiration for purging my basement this past summer. Watched you on HGTV and said I can do this. We donated 2 stuffed full van loads to good will and made 6 trips to the dumpster! I still have stuff but it's alot better. Thanks for the rules they help!!!!
Love the mindset of Gifting instead of donating!
I'm definitely following along with this, I'd love to start 2022 with less clutter. I want a calm relaxing home, I can't keep stressing over where to start with getting tidy and organised. This will be the boot up the, you know what, that I need.
I love the idea of clear gifting/ donation bags
I've often had the thought I was throwing it away in a garbage bag.😊 I now know how and what to do. Appreciate it very much ❤️. Great video series, looking forward to it all!
I need the tough love, so I appreciate your tenacity! Be yourself. That's why we're here!
Yh !! Thank you 😊 I need some tough love 💕
Wow, this is an awesome idea! I've already decluttered my house, but I feel a deeper dive is necessary. Bring the wrath! lol. ❤
I need the push to get rid of the excess. Thank you in advance for helping get my house in shape! So glad you have Personal trainer experience.
I love your awkward chatter. The finger guns, sound effects, all of it. You make me smile. Looking forward to some tough love.
The clear bags is subconsciously a game changer. Thank you for that!
to say to yourself, DONATE worked for me starting yesterday and it was great to hear from you about that word DONATE instead of decluttering's! ITS A MINDSET WORD THAT REALLY MADE THE DIFFERENCE TO ME.Thank you
You're so welcome!
I love it ...my whole family was military including my mother-in-law who is a lovely lovely lady.
I can just hear you now saying, "I can't hear you....PUT IT IN THE BAG!"😀😂😀 ...no, truly, I really do look forward to the boot camp training.
I feel like I have plenty of friends, I need someone to keep me in line and push me to get it together. Love this plan!
I love you Cas, nothing is going to change that. You've already had a positive effect on my life.
I love the push. I so need pushing. Cause I'm a procrastination queen👸
Cas I love your tough love! I love Dawn & Dana’s methods as well and there are times I need that, but when we hit the end of that All Day Declutter, I needed your tough love to get me through that last room. Thank you for all that you do!
I find my organization just comes naturally once i declutter. I don't need to think hard about organizing once I let it go!
I watched this a second time and I am SO pumped for the tough love! Lol. Bring on the bootcamp!! 😂🏋️♀️💪🛍🥊💥
Long time subscriber. Tough love is only given if you love that person, even a stranger. You get why we are here watching your videos. Bring it on sister! Go Cass!
So, I think I'm starting in a different place than your regular viewer but you're fun so I'm going to keep watching!
Yep. Firm believer in tough love. You go girl!
For many years we could only afford used clothes and items. So giving it to someone is so good!
I needed this! I need all your videos but ready to be rid of clutter!
“Wrath,...It’s coming from a place of love!” 😂
Yes, Cass, I feeel the looove! 🥰
And I need it. I’m nearly 60, a new empty nester, moved into a home larger than we need (great deal-couldn’t pass it up!), and I’m fighting the stuff that I have allowed to follow me.(I had REALLLLY good excuses, but will not fall back on them.) I must fight this battle to LIVE!!!
Yeeees push us Cas!!! ♥️♥️♥️
I love your Master Bedroom boot camp from all day cleaning event!!! I listen to it when I declutter other rooms and I hear our Mahahahaha’s in my sweet dreams. 😂. I’ve been praying you would do this 😀 I have never been so motivated in my life! Don’t hold back, being nice is how I got like this, I NEED your boot camp!
My family is even declutching there rooms. 😄
😂 I always love the after party at the end of your videos! The reality is I’m sure the majority of your subscribers need the tough love and that’s why they’re here (myself included). There’s a place for nice and calm (I love and follow Dawn and Dana as well). Sometimes that’s jus5 not enough we need the tough as well! 😉🥰
I'm so excited! Bring the tough love! BRING IT!!! 😂
I got so much done during your decluttering sessions in the TYHB group! You shifted the emotion I had towards the object into emotion for the person who could use it!
BRING IT ON GIRL!! I am so needing this!! A good kick in the butt to help me with all my stuff in a house that we have lived in for 30 years!! Can't wait for the next video!! TFS! 💕🌴😎
The 20/20 rule from Dawn helped me a lot. "Could you replace it for 20 Dollars in 20 minutes"
Greetings from Germany 🙂
I have been doing the clear bag thing for a while now. I agree you feel so much better when you gift/donate in a clear bag. It doesn't feel as if you are recycling your trash at the thrift store or similar, for you and the recipient.
You can bring on the tough love, I definitely need it 😄
Go Cass I personally need that push. It's not that I don't have the motivation It's making the time to declutter.
Brig the energy. That is what I need
Sending you energetic vibes!
Colonel Cas is ready to kick our bums! Bring it, then maybe I’ll actually kick my clutter to the curb. FYI, Little Free Libraries can always use books.
😂😂😂
Yes bring it on!
Yes! I'm so in! 💜💜💜
I think the 'wrath' is exactly what I need, lol
Cas, your sessions are the best in the all day decluttering!!!
Cas. Your decluttering sessions were the BEST and exactly what I needed. Clear criteria and goal! I am an over analyzer and goal driven. While I love Dawn and Dana too, I listen to them for different reasons and support. I get the hard stuff done while listening to you.
Keep it up and keep keeping it real.
Glad I could help!
this is perfect for me because in exactly 3 weeks i have umbilical hernia surgery and i have a mess in my room. long over due declutter since I moved in with my husband 6yrs and its a good day to start, the 1st. I'm ready LETS DO THIS!!!!
Cas, I love your boot camp style! Your videos are my favorites from the all day declutters. 😁
Can't think of anyone I would rather be yelled at by!!! Looking forward to it!
