Our Sharks came up two wins shy of a Stanley Cup Championship and sadly have slowly gone downhill ever since. In my own opinion the Sharks have never been the same since the departure of " Little Joe " Pavelski. Oh and Evander Kane, geez, what a disappointment. I still like Kane. Sharks fans loved the guy. Kane liked being in San Jose. I think Kane owes Sharks fans, not an explanation, but at least an apology.
Brings back so many memories. 2016 was the first year I really paid attention to the NHL and the Sharks were my favorite team. The only previous memories I had of them were sweeping the Canucks in the first round and getting reverse swept by the Kings. Man, what I would give to see the 2016 team in action again. I also think 2019 was really our year, but we were so banged up that by the time we took on the Blues there was no chance we would move on. It hurts, a lot. But at least we have a shot at Bedard, instead of ending up like Toronto.

I like the sharks because of Dillon before even as a Winnipeg fan but once he got traded I love him on the jets even more now, he just fits our defensive roster really good with decent puck skills and amazing body play
I miss this team and these times so much. That 2016 team will always hold a special place just because it was less talented than other squads in our history (‘04, ‘10, ‘11, & ‘19 at least) and yet it still is the only rendition to make it to the SCF. Losing made it so bittersweet, but at least I had the Warriors’ chips during those times. Hopefully Will, Fabian, & all our young guys lead us to a new era where we finally get that cup we should have by now!
i was a senior in high school when the sharks were in the finals. as a die hard devils fan i thought san jose was gonna win but pittsburgh was just too good.
This is a bit incomplete. Joel Ward isn't entirely retired, he's currently an assistant coach for the AHL affiliate of the Golden Knights (Henderson Silver Knights). Paul Martin is a Graduate Assistant Coach for the Minnesota Golden Gophers (NCAA).
Damn as a die hard Penguins Fan I feel bad my team beat them. Would love to see the sharks win their first chip someday. Just not against my pens for course.
