I don't know about their top speed but there are some "beefy" buses out there. The drivers are the problem, though. You don't want a bus running at 130km/h get out of control and hit something.

The thing is you also gotta think of people standing and sitting. If the bus goes from 0-130km/h in 6 seconds empty and full with standing people at 8 seconds. Having people fall over from hard acceleration is a problem and a safety concern.
