I like this style of a playthrough more than a single video of a whole run, so I hope you keep playing like this.
This is the guy you watch when you actually want to learn the game.
This guy is the best at this
Of couse there is some selection bias in your current audience but i prefer multiple vids per run
Counterpoint to the usefulness of mil tech, it is the best way to boost your own prestige. With how powerful sov empire is and its cohesion being based on prestige share, that creates an incentive to get techs that boost your military power projection. A similar point can be made for smaller powers swaying for bankrolls in the early/mid game. I still think society is overall better, but it makes mil tech a consideration.
I think mid tier navy tech is best for prestige farming per income

@@connorvic3 fair. Whenever I play Argentina, I like to build up my navy early on, partly for the sake of prestige.
You go boats for that reasoning though generally
In my 450 hours of Vic3 I never built a single tank or airplane.
Relatable...
I did an Aliens invaded Romania run and gave myself all techs at startdate as Wallachia and goddam you just go bankrupt for like 10 tanks (also very fun, would recommend)
I did in a recent Russia playthrough. Interestingly civilians were buying more of my planes than the military was.
airplanes are actually kinda insane because the first time you send a general to a battle with airplanes turned on, you get an event that can give him a +30 offense bonus permanently. build your own tewodoros
Getting the plane buff w/ Tewodros would be nutty
a lot of the late military techs are functionally gated behind radios, which is what keeps me from rushing them usually. chemical weapons aren't though. i think chemical weapons are great for a rush+timing attack, florida men with mustard gas are wild
Interesting idea for MP
Love the video!
Thank you!!

I am personally more a single video enjoyer when other creators have done both in the past
Agree with you about MilTech. I tend to stay 1~2 "tiers" behind. If they've only got Skirmishers. A massive wave of irregulars will still get the job done.Or nearly endless waves of brainless peons (pops) marching off to war.
Isn't it viable to research mil to save on manpower?
Good stuff 👍
Thanks 👍
