Beautiful cars, I bought mine off my parents, I also still own it. That they had for over 10 years and used to drop me off at school in it. Holds a special place in my heart that car, its currently having a sti driveline swap and have a full built rcm engine almost ready to put in it
Always regretted selling my 98 2.5rs coupe, not an sti but the closest thing we could get to a performance model in the US. wasnt fast but was so reliable and fun to drive, have had a lot of subarus over the years and the GC platform has a special charm to it that the newer ones dont.
I have a Ver.5 STi, over in BC. It has extensive engine modifications, with essentially every performance modification that you can think of done to it - but the exterior is bone stock. It’s stupidly fast, gapping everything from brand new Golf R’s to mustangs. They’re just stupidly good cars, I can’t recommend them enough. Handling, power, they have it all.
You're spot on about the car just being a blast to drive. Love the video! It's cool to see those old memories of your first car. I recently bought a clean '95 L coupe that the previous owner bought from the original owner, an older woman. He turned it into a 2.5 RS clone before selling it to me. Even as an automatic slowmobile it's a blast to drive. I have a 450whp 300ZX and I still love driving the Impreza! But now I have an EJ207 ready to go in and a DCCD six speed on the way. I bought the car solely to do this swap but as it gets closer I'm starting to think I'm going to miss driving it as the little turd that it is.
Currently own a 2010 WRX Narrowbody Sedan but id love to own a Authentic GC8F....maybe one day....maybe. if not a GC8 WRX, STi swap would be amazing as well.
Hi from New Zealand. I have a 1995 WRX STI Type RA Version ('1') which is not going anywhere. Mine 5x what I paid for it in 8years. Absolutely mint and have all the original 'peashooter' exhaust, cassette player, wheels, etc..... Only factory extra was aircon. Have done 23000km in 8 years (only 440km in last year though!). Never wanted to mod it as its value and fun is its raw originality; for mods I have a 500hp Nissan S14 "Rocket Bunny" which is the performance toy 🙂
Miss My 2002 WRX sport wagon Turbo. Owner of a H6 Outback Wagon now. Wish I had a 90s XT turbo or a SVX H6. Still Love Any Subaru. Got a Video of the Electric Subaru?
@@carswithsepp it was in family for about 3 years. my dad bought it with 160k miles and a rebuilt motor. The motor blew again at 200k and was fixed under warranty, i then traded my dad my car and began driving the mini for about year before it blew the motor at 240k. It was a blast to drive and was plenty quick for what it was ! I've been loving the content Sepp , keep it up !
Never getting rid of my 03 WRX, it’s one of a kind and I know I’d feel the same way as you if I sold mine.
