I'm not sure what Peter's background is, or whether it's just happenstance that Okey and Peter are together for this podcast, but the two of you could make any topic riveting. Peter is incredibly good at setting up the questions and extracting maximum value from Okey's answers, while staying out his way to let the answers flow.
What a thoroughly enjoyable episode! I think Peter did a really good job with his questions: they were well connected and kept the conversation flowing nicely, ensuring that it never became stuck or boring. From jackets, waistcoats, and on to shirts. Great flow. I also liked that he initiated the bringing of the jackets and waistcoats off the rack and into the view of the camera to show the viewers the designs. I really liked the part where Okey and Peter held 3 different jackets side by side for comparison. I almost wish Okey had tried each on for further demonstration, but that could be done in a different episode. I think I am ready to send my email through the website contact form to inquire about making first AskOkey jacket. I will do this by tomorrow. Lastly, Okey's observations about "clusters of characters" who possess a "subconscious" longing for an "expression of perfection" (through dress) with which we can "complete ourselves" was so beautiful. I relate perfectly to it and I think that is why I am here. Great work gents!
WOW! I am truly OVERWHELMED with a sense of gratitude Rulia. So comprehensively penned. Thank you Rulia. It is moments like this that make all that we do worthwhile. 7:12 have you tried brushing it? Its does a good job compared to a lint roller. Your options are horse or boar. I'm a humble thrift store raider , but a good steaming and brushing really can bring a good jacket back to life
Very well Said Sir Roger. Yes I do use a clothes brush from time to time. Not as often as I ought to due to constraints on my time. Perhaps time to hire a valet?? 😅 Thank you Sir Roger PROFF👑
The longetivity of a suit is the function of 2 things the fabric and construction. The construction is how it is put together. I never think about durability of fabric and construction.
Whats the deal with shoulder sleeve divots/dimples? I dont know what causes it, how much is too much? You guys get them when you sit down at least. I have no idea. My tailored jacket doesnt have any and looks great, but now they drive me crazy on any other jacket I was just watching kirby alisons linen jacket and his jacket has them, isnt it a mistake?
A Jacket cannot be judged when sitting because there’s tension at all points on the coat when you sit. Judge it while standing. Welcome to AskOkey. Do you follow us on Instagram? @askokeyig PROFF
Indeed Sumit, there is no need for canvasing in waistcoats. They need no structure since they are meant to fit close to the body. A waistcoat is essentially a piece of cloth tailored to the body and nothing more. PROFF👑
Okey you gotta get Pete in a better fitting suit He knows more about menswear than I ever will but I’m sorry this dude just looks like he’s wearing an off the rack suit from Tj maxx
The grey on grey makes him look like a professional pencil sharpener and doesn’t do service to his deep knowledge, I bet he’d look alot sharper in some more vibrant colors even just a little navy
Peter's line of questioning is rather impressive, and I must say the dialogue and cadence in this conversation was incredibly soothing to listen to
Thank you Adonis 😁

If a waistcoat has peak lapels, could the jacket have notch lapels and vise versa?
Indeed Yacoub. Peak lapels belong on DB waist coats and Notch lapels on SB waistcoats. You could wear either with an SB or DB coat.
