I have heard several stories of a group of girl friends who realize they are all dating the same guy from Tinder. They think they all have their "type" that is unique to them but all girls have the exact same type. So they end up swiping on the exact same few guys. The funniest thing about those stories where the girls realize they are all dating the same guy is they all promise to dump the guy then they all keep seeing him thinking the other girls will dump him.

I’m 63, wealthy and retired, fit and single, and have been active in the dating world for 45 years. The problem with today’s single woman is the majority of them are completely beholden to social media and it’s their guiding light life template. They all have a hive mind activist attitude going on and I find it revolting. It’s not feminine, sexy, or attractive. I don’t care how hot they are.

She literally just described me. I'm the age range that women want, I'm 5'10, in shape, own my own business and without putting a number on it, I exceed her minimum. I can tell you this, even so, I still found dating apps and modern American dating in general to be extremely stacked against men. Guys, get a passport. Your options will be unreal. @@Palaecro same. I can and did get dates here. I got a lot more dates than the average guy, but still had to put in quite a bit of effort. Now I must say, I honestly don't think I was ever a top 1-3% guy, even when I was say 32. I'm good looking, but I'm not a pro model. I'm fit, but again, not a pro model. I'm 5'10 which is a bit taller than average, but not the 6'2 that fat women with three kids think they deserve. I don't want to get into numbers, but I do well, especially for the Midwest. But I'm also frugal. I'm not interested in expensive dinners, I'm not taking some girl shopping, I drive the same car till it dies. In short, I invest money, I do spend on world travel, but I'm not in bars trying to be a "balla". Couldn't care less. I think I might be a top 10 to 15% guy, and there's no doubt that I'm top 25% easily. So I'm going after top 10-20% women (and of course I'll take my shot at the super model types, and that half court Hail Mary has actually gone in (pun intended) a few times in my life). But the reality is, although I had more luck than the average guy here, girls are not looking for top 15% guys, they're cut off is top 1 - 3%, and "settling" for top 5%. It's crazy. The internet/phone has created a scene where almost every guy is angry because 75% or more of guys are invisible. Meanwhile almost every girl is angry because, from their standpoint, all guys are trash - meaning they're all going on tinder hookups with top 3% men who are of course pumping and dumping them. If they ever do get realistic, a girl who is a 6 getting into a relationship with a guy who is a 6, it likely is not going to work. He's not going to be at all happy that she's slept with a ton of guys, and the Alpha Widow thing for her is very real. She's never going to be happy with him, not after the guy she really wanted (handsome and rich) took her on a five day trip to some resort, but then never called again. She'll always want her past, he'll always be pissed about her past.
And yes, not only was it so much easier to date in other countries, the women are a much better pool to select from. Traditional values, in shape.

A woman like this comes along saying: "You are the absolute minimum man for me when it comes to dating. Doesn't mean I'm happy with you, just that you meet my minimum requirements. Besides that, there are 4 out of 10 men like you around the corner."
Its all good if they want to think like that because by that point their body count already disqualifies them for long term consideration.

This is the point women forget... You "build" a life together not a ready-made one that you slide into.
Women would be absolutely stunned if they ever learned what it is men look for in a partner. It ain't height, weight, and income that's for damn sure. Men actually value loyalty, low body count, someone who brings peace and comfort. A literal partner. Anything else we get is just icing on the cake. And ladies, your personality and how you treat others will absolutely take a 9/10 to a 3. And a 3-5 to an 8 or 9. How you talk to the staff at a restaurant... we watch that.

The thing about "dating the same guy" - quite a lot of women are not even discouraged by that, but motivated. A guy who has women around him instantly increases his value in their eyes. It goes, like, "hey, someone already tried out this man and liked what he's offering, so I'd better grab it for myself". This phenomenon is called "female pre-selection". Look it up.
I'm sure a lot of guys in the comment will recall a case when he got a girl's attention, and then _another_ girl that ignored him up to this point suddenly got interested in him, as well - maybe even jealous! Coincidence? No. Correlation? Unlikely. Consequence.

Such women with that tone of voice and fake look are plentiful on media, they seem to get all the attention they possibly can. Luckily, they're absent in my reality. That's not saying that all the more complex women are nicer to deal with. I'm 47, silly smart, 6'4" and had a date with a 40 y/o who's 5'6", and looked OK for her age but up close would not be mistaken for anything less than 40. She didn't loosen up at all, gave only a handshake when I offered it at final goodbye. She'd been mostly in long relationships so had very little dating experience, I'll give her that. Zero doubt that we'd have a great time if she'd just give it the time of day, but less that purrrrfection and she was running. It's all too common. This one I'd vetted with a 1 hour call to at least be a reasonable person. Very, very few pass a pre-date-setting call test and that's after my preselections that wades out obviously problematic cases. Slim pickings, but I know the right one will show up and I'll not be sharing.

Spot on. I'm very fair haired and went bald very young. Drugs to prevent it made me super sick. My eyebrows are really thin and I can't grow a beard. I look a little baby faced. It's just genetic and all the males on my mother's side look like this. However, I'm 6 foot 2, earn 100k, own house etc etc. But my 3/10 to 4/10 face has left me dateless for years, and any attention I do get is from substantially older women or fat single mothers. I am not complaining, but it basically comes down to the fact you often have to be really handsome to get much attention, when a couple of generations ago you didn't need to be super handsome to get women to like you.

That would be a horrifying reality, because women from today will grow old too. Who knows what will happen when they grow into older women who might still be resentful of the men in their generation vs the older women now who get together with someone from a younger generation because they realise it's their only option? What if the women now don't realise this in 20 years?

I’m 61, carry about 15# extra weight (so I’m reasonably fit for my age), make 125-150 k/yr, I’m 6’-0, blue eyes, very little grey in my hair, have lots of assets. My GF is 39, a solid 8, very fit, very feminine. I won’t even consider dating a woman over 45, and can, and have dated women in their 20’s. They chase me. I used to be rather blue pill, but I’m staunchly red pilled now. I just accepted the true nature of women and adjusted. I’ll never get married again and they all know that. Yet, the interesting thing is, they ALL seem to think they can change that.
I truly feel bad for younger men these days. And I had to learn this the hard way also. But, most women love conditionally and really don’t deserve most men. The fact that these women view themselves as the ‘prize’ or that they are above most men is delusion on an epic level.
Men, stay on your grind, stay fit, live life for yourself and realize that about 80% of women are recreational use only. Never marry, and if you do, don’t do it without an ironclad prenup. There is a 78% chance she’s going to cheat on you brothers. Be prepared to send her back to the streets instantly.

I think it would hit home harder if we put real numbers to this. In Los Angeles there are about 1.7 million men and about 2.0 million women. Let's say 80% of the women are looking for men. That would be 1.6 million women. The number of men that meet all the criteria of, age 35 to 45, over 5'-10", single, makes more than $100K, is 17,000 men. So we have 1.6 million women chasing the same 17,000 men. That means there are 94 women chasing after each man. Or stated another way, a woman in LA has about a 1% chance of finding the man she wants.

It really depends where you live. My buddy's brother moved to Kansas a couple years ago and in his area a ~2000 square foot house in a nice neighborhood goes for around 200k. 300k gets you a McMansion. Where I live 200k gets you a small 2 bedroom condo and 300k gets you a modest house in an ok neighborhood. Other areas of the country cost even more.
Don't get me wrong I think its ridiculous these women are nothing close to traditional yet want to be treated like traditional women, I'm just saying 100k in some lower cost of living areas is still a pretty fat salary as compared to some like NYC or LA where taxes and rent eat up 70%+ of that 100k.

Back in.my twenties I ran with a group of VERY good looking fellas. It was amazing the number of women that literally threw themselves at these guys. It was blessing and an absolute curse being the 6/7 running with a few solid 8/9+.

I did this with friends like 15 years ago, but didnt use income, but did have religion in there, and smoker/not, drugs/not. I was saying that "99% of the people in the world are undateable for you. Even less". And so many got mad. I'd watched a ted talk by Amy Webb about cracking online dating and this issue about her potential mates based in where she lives and what she was looking for. It bascially did this and broke it all down.
This is so true. When I talk to my friends I just have a different life. Most of them can’t even get dates. I can download hinge or bumble and have a 1000 matches in a week. I have unlimited amount of good looking women wanting to date me but I don’t have the time because of the life I live. I never had this attention in my twenties because I grinding and in school everyday. But to be fair I’m 6’3, good looking, athlete shape highly educated working in healthcare with side hustles, plays high stakes poker and has cool outdoor hobbies, invests in real estate and the stock market and constantly developing myself. The problem is when you get successful you attract a lot of girls that just want you to provide a lifestyle and carry them. The other problem is if you are guy that has that much going on you don’t spend your time dating your ambition has you working. I also rarely find many girls worth committing to and taking on all that risk. It’s actually hard to find a down to earth girl that is attractive but isn’t entitled, high maintenance, good attitude, and doing something with her life. A lot of good looking women of this generation are addicted to attention and lifestyle over wanting to be girlfriends, good wives mothers etc. I also see girls thinking they are a ten when in my eyes they might be a five. The dating world is weird nowadays. When I was younger I would just ask a girl out to coffee if I found her attractive or fun to be around.
I don't understand why there are all of these preconceived desired "traits." It's all unrealistic in my opinion. You try out a date or two to find a meaningful connection and filter out the undesirable personity traits(addiction, gambling, jealous, cruel, etc).
Women operate in feelings and emotions. Men operate in reality. They are all sharing the same men.
They are all? Most women want to be single during their best looking years regardless, and the women who want a permanent partner, usually do lower their standards enough to get it.. The red pill takes what what 10% women and act like they are the 90%

I'm 5'10", I work in Silicon Valley making 6 figures, while performing with international Latin music acts, while being very active in my Boxing gym. I'm 40, single, never been married, and have no kids. Thankfully, I never have these problems I hear of here. I guess I've dodged a minefield without knowing it. Crazy thing is, I never considered myself to be part of an "elite" group. I try to see myself as normal as can be. It's sad how men and women both have such high expectations. I'm glad I just live simply and dodge drama.

All of it artificially inflates their value. They are a 5-6 on their best day. The 100 simps that stock their insta. That like every post she makes in the first 10 seconds it’s up. Now makes her a 10 and pretty much a “model” and a “celebrity”.
So by default the only people that are then good enough for her are other celebrities or better.
Because woman date up they won’t date down. Their narcissism won’t let them.

At minute 4:00 our host concludes his questions and she rolls her eyes. This is why, me in particular, goes to a bar and hits on women that are less attractive.... Say what you want, I scored and they're left wanting a championship!
The only way to get a man who is in the top 10%-15% and possibly not share is to be with him since he was poor. And even then, be prepared for him to slip at least once in your lifetime. You will be lucky if he only slips once and learns from seeing your pain. It will require incredible humility, courage, and BRAINS from the woman to get past that event. And I would absolutely advice her to get past that. (If it's like a one time slip. Not if it's a character flaw of doing it over and over with no regret).
Very unpopular advice I bet, but long terms best for the woman, believe it or not. I have seen the outcomes (both on the one that stayed and the one that left). Sucks but its reality and it will suck more if you don't get past it.

This is true. What happens is some women discard men easily early on, and then go after the ones that finally made it later. I got dumped multiple times in a row in my 20s for not earning enough, lack of resources, and distance. Now that I'm in my 30s, I am able to earn over 6 figures, on top of being 6', and having a 6 pack. Not to say I'm the full prize, but I'm extremely careful who I give time to now. I would have settled for kindness, loyalty, peacefulness, and attraction.

To me what is really interesting is the extrapolation of the data itself. Take what women want, take what men want, and break it down. Women want security, right? They want the money, the success. One of their top preferences is money, money buys future security. He can afford a house, cars, a family. They look for someone to provide. Men, on the other hand, are not looking for money. In fact, in most categories many men would settle for less than desired if she had a good personality or was at least a nice person. Men want someone to support them in their life. A good mother and partner. Not a boss babe.
What these two have in common is that they are traditional male/female values in a relationship. Women in this day still have traditional requests of men(in a modern way, times have changed of course), but they don’t act the same way they did in the past. A high quality woman is a supporter and care giver. A high quality man is a provider and protector. Those haven’t changed. Women don’t even realize that they still have the same desires in the modern world but will not adhere to any of the values that men want. Thus, the Tinder Rift was created. I don’t know that it’s all the fault of dating sites, but I’m sure it hasn’t helped. Many of these women could get and keep a high quality man if they just acted differently. And it’s weird that they don’t know this yet.

Hi Jade, here, I am obviously from western culture, I am fat, have 6 kids by lots of different guys, (I actually can't recall which father goes with which kid because I was so pissed up with alcohol when I slept around and got impregnated by whoever, I have no job, no education, no money, live in a small rented flat but I know "I am special" , a "Princess" , a "Goddess" and deserve to meet nothing less than a 6 foot 5 stunningly handsome billionaire who will be utterly devoted to me and my kids, nothing less will do. 26% of women are what's available for me in what I'm looking for. When it comes to the male calcuatpr. If i include women with kids it jumps up to 39%.
Crazy how different we men are from women.
These 26% are the "not obese" bracket I reckon. As a former step dad I absolutely recommend to mandatorily stick with the child-free bracket and better give her a few kilos more to widen the options.
