The fck cheap? This is not a cheap car neither to maintain or buy... And its filled with technology, for its era... 4 wheel steering, adaptive cruise control, emergency braking, hybrid powertrain, adaptive LEDs,... Lol, it matches nothing you said. Its just like another premium from its era. It is reliable though and well, its practical because its big but given it size, it could be better. Can definitely use handling improvements but other than that very practical car. Its comfortable and fast for sure!
Not sure about the Euro spec version but here in Canada we get the 3.7L V6 or 5.6L V8 😉 just gonna wait to grab one of these in the second hand market one day
as long as you don't mind getting sub-20mpg efficiency, definitely go for the 5.6. I would actually go for an M56 Sport, maybe a '13 or '14. Definitely go with the sport version with the advanced tech package. It's the same exact car as the q70 5.6 only less expensive. Here in the States, you can frequently find well maintained examples for less than $16k US

Thomas your car reviews are quite good but one thing annoys me really, could you please stop saying that you don't like real leather seats ? I've watched some reviews on your channel and you're saying that almost every time. However your reviews are, as I said, really good !
***** You're telling us in almost every review that animals are harmed because of leather seats and so on. I would understand if you would tell us this fact once or twice, but in every review is, in my view, a bit too much (:
87Hordas I see what you mean. Yeah for subscribers its maybe boring, but I always have to think about viewers that come via the search and maybe havent watched another video, that's the reason. E.g. I also thought I dont have to mention I am 1.86 m in height all the time, but then ppl ask in every video: Whats your height again? :-)
The thing is no one complains when there tucking in to nice lump of meat in my opinion if we are going to sacrifice animals for food we shouldn't just throw the hide to the side we use as much of the animal as possible apart from that love your reviews but it's a car review keep it cars I think
Thanks for quality review Tomas... I've just recently purchased one and I am verry happy user... It's different, as you said, but that is it's own beauty indeed. 18 inches alloys are bit more comfy in my premium version. Very economical engine, and amazingly comfortable suspension. Can recommend q70 for anyone who loves none mainstreem cars... You will enjoy it.. It's wunderbar:) Regards from London!
@07:57-08:34 super cool video work👌 Nice to see you appreciate the actual beuaty this car is even in its uniqueness, very "discerning" if one may say so.
I wish I had one of these in 2018 when I finally out my chance to drive on the AutoBahn........I wound up getting a Audi A6 which was no slouch foe ride, performance and handling but.....I had a A6 back in the states so I knew how they drove. Don’t get me wrong 30ish MPG with the V6 diesel was nice but getting to wring out something like a Q70/Q70L on the AutoBahn on a clear day would be nice. Your English even with the German accent is great, you have studied and sounds like you can speak better English than some....well...Englishmen. Good detailed video with facts and not a lot of fluff. Three good selling points for me maybe more but starting with three. 1. NO Auto/Start/Stop for the engine. 2. Modern design without going over the top. Nice and functional without being overly flashy. 3. I cant speak for Europe Spec engines since most of them are probably diesel. I like the regular multi port fuel injection. 4. Traditional moon roof, not the fancy Panasonic. I want metal on the roof especially if in a rollover accident, 5. Cabin Ergonomics. Decent layout and reasonably well laid out. Example. Fuel door RH side of vehicle...Fuel gauge on RH side of the instrument cluster. Some misses and not overly critical but observations that I have noted. 1. Rear Turn Signals. Personally I prefer the amber contrasting color rear turn signals. 2. Slightly behind the times for transmission technology. Yes functional and effective but with the competition coming up with 8,9 and even 10 speed automatics they are still running a 7 speed. 3. No folding rear seat backs. 4. Emergency/Parking foot brake. With advances in modern technology this would or at least should have been a very good candidate for a switchover to the electric parking brake. I would rather have the space in the drivers footwell. Overall a good solid reasonably modern design. 2019 was apparently the last Model Year so that could be a major factor in not investing a lot of $$$$ in R/D for improvements. Probably the last traditional/modern RWD/AWD full size luxury/performance sedan from Infiniti. I have a SUV but this is my candidate for a modern luxury/daily driver touring sedan.
Thank you Thomas for the wonderful in-depth analysis. I just bought a new Nissan Xtrail based on your comparison review between X Trail, BMW X5 & Merc GLK. Regarding this Q70S review - I liked the interior a lot but i believe they need to catch up soon with the German premium brands from the exterior as this still doesn't look that premium. Looking forward to your review/analysis of some Lexus cars if possible. Take care!
Thanks Thomas! Well done. Nice to see a Katharina cameo appearance if only her stylish hands on camera ! :) Exterior styling is very pleasing except for: 1) rear view...too dull and the rear lights appear to be bulging outwards. 2) too much clearance in the wheel wells above the wheels. Looks like AWD(?) Interior is quite nice although I find the console too intrusive the way it protrudes into the cabin. The single central knob, to me anyway, reminds me of the one eyed Cyclops *( I've seen that in the Honda/Acura lines as well. I like your comment about Infinity F1 sponsorship money. I've always felt the same as they're running the Renault PowerUnit (yes - I know the relationship b/w Renault & Nissan etc.). 👍🏻
Mario Dalla Riva thanks! =) Yeah the rear could be improved design wise. The ground clearance was actually not too bad as you didnt have to be afraid to run over some bumps etc. I agree that the middle console was a little bit bulky. About F1, indeed hardly anyone knows Infiniti here and when you tell them, didnt you see Vettels car with the logo on it, they answer like wut?!
Due to the lack of commercial in general of Japanese car makers, all of them are not really present. Especially the Nissan Lux Brand Inifiniti, Honda > Acura. Only Toyota > Lexus is selling a bit better. But they have a better design than Merc. Etc. As a previous Saab owner, I am very tempted.

***** Thanks for reply! Sorry I did not noticed. I think that is not a best seller in Germany because they do not offer a Kombi choice. 5 series/E-Klasse/A6 offers.
Infiniti was fine as a company back when they still sold their cars as the G, M, FX, QX, etc. But when they decided to rename everything to Q and QX, everything started to go downhill a bit.
It's a well built car overall but you can tell they can't fully match Lexus (Toyota) $$ when it comes to engineering and design. I personally hate that super-raised back seat: lowering it would look better besides allowing for a lower, more stylish roofline yet whilst enjoying a lower center of gravity. Fake vortex rims suck as well and too many sweeping lines inside can make some people dizzy. Replacement should be near and I hope they learn from these little but annoying mistakes.
***** I had a 2010 M37 for 39/48,000 miles months and it was stone reliable and the maintenance was limited to regular oil changes (which my dealer often did at a discounted rate of $24.95) and a set of tires which were moderately expensive because I had the S model with the 20" wheels as well. 4 dealer oil changes with my current Audi would buy a set of tires for my former Infiniti.
