I'd like to hear more from Rose about Following -- the mechanics of connection, her turning and anchoring technique, and how she uses body flight to fill time and space in her dance.
I love your Wcs style and frame. My partner and I have taken your 2 step helicopter to dance in hustle. I look forward to see your videos for our dance training. If you ever plan to come to the Nyc area to give a workshop or seminar in any dance please let me know. Thank you and best wishes, Regina & Mike
Fun move! Practicing with air partner as usual. Was able to do all the whip moves with a real dance the other night, no problems. Your coaching is very effective.
Love your videos as I'm a female instructor in West Coast Swing in Sweden and dance both as a follower as leader. I would love to see a video with slingshot in closed position. With style opportunitys/ variations. Love from Sweden
@@countrydancex Many thanks for that, the prob I have is remembering the moves and trying them out on a partner in classes, but i`m getting there with your help and watching other west coast swing videos
I'm mildly concerned on the count 4 compression the follower might feel she's being led to an outside turn. It's therefore important the leaders left hand be just ahead of the right. Am I seein this right?
Hi there. We typically use the leader’s left hand to stabilize the follower and keep her frame from rotating. Frame is basically consistency from elbow to elbow. You’ll use that frame to indicate rotation. As a relevant side note, the hand coming up does not indicate a turn… rotation around the spine does. In this movement, you’ll lead the follower back to you without rotating the frame. (Hope that makes sense in typed words haha)
@@countrydancex I think the 2nd sentence says it best. I have partners I have been 2steppin with that want to learn WC. That compression with the hand raised would feel like I'm leading an outside turn if it wasn't WC. I do appreciate the response and the excellent teaching. You guys are good.
What the dance move where the guy has an outstretched arm and looks like he yanks her in spinning called ? I’ve seen it in a lot of movies and would really love to know how it’s done.
@@countrydancex best way I can think of it is: the girl is walking away. The guy grabs her wrist and he pulls gently she comes spinning like a top to him very quick. Like reeling her in.
I'd love to help. Maybe if there were a video somewhere of it? There are hundreds of movements that could do what you just described. It's really hard in text.
@@countrydancex ok thanks. I found a video it’s what Peter does to Gwen on this video just replace the web shooter with an arm. ruclips.net/video/4331uXY0nxA/видео.html
It's not much different than the Spanish Hustle. I've seen similarities watching other swing dancers. I miss those days when everyone dressed up and went out to DANCE! Yeah, I'm that old - LOL! Regards from Indiana!
