His intelligence, eloquence and perspective on an obscure sport that I follow from a continent away will always be appreciated. May his friends and family eventually find peace with a life lost too soon.

Two things. First, I love the dig about Armstrong at the end. Spoken by someone who, like thousands of cycling fans, still feel hurt about the irreparable damage he did to cycling with his actions. Second, heard the tragic news today about the death of Richard Moore earlier in the week. Our enjoyment of cycling will never quite be the same without him on the "The Cycling Podcast" providing humour and insight. We have lost a great.

@@pr-tj5by OK let's break it down for you to understand then :
There is no way lance would beat Johnson in a 100m running sprint ...... So if that statement made no sense to you then you either think that lance would be Johnson in a 100m running sprint or you don't know who they are, I've actually asked 9 people if they think lance would beat Johnson in a 100m running sprint and they all said no way lance beats him,
If you google both people you'll find that Johnson was a 100m track sprinter but lance was actually a cyclist..... You've got your sports mixed up, Just google both of them , have a read up about them and then you'll know what I'm meaning, then it will make sense to you, Good luck

We're not talking about a sprinter racing against a multi time Tour de France winner lol
We're talking about the level of Cheating Lance Armstrong did compared to the Cheating that Ben Johnson did....
Do you not know what level of Cheating Armstrong did to maintain competitive cycling?
I suggest you Google Lance Armstrong Cheat
Why would you think I was talking about them sprint racing on a track lmao

But Johnson is a track sprinter and lance is a cyclist, I'm not sure why you don't understand that, I was just trying To Help you understand the reason that Johnson would beat lance, they are in different sports, was just trying To Help you out. Hope this clears up your confusion, cheers

The amount of stimulant found in Carl Lewis' blood (6 ppm) would be considered a negative test today, and the USOC accepted the explanation of inadvertent use. Lewis is not anywhere near the category of these others mentioned.

All those gold medals he won in the US Summer Olympics in 84’? The detection for steroids was virtually nonexistent back then. If you were to take his blood samples from that era now under testing in the modern era, I’m sure he’d be guilty as hell and lose all of his medals!

Carl Lewis was an all time great. A true athletics legend. Ben was barely a rival until he started using steroids.
Carl tested positive for minuscule amounts of a non PED. He was cleared, and rightly so. Lewis was not a PED user! Lewis on steroids is sub 9.75 and also would jump 30 feet!
