I feel like, as much hate as movie Ginny gets, it really wasn't Bonnie Wright's fault. She has her moments for sure, especially shouting at everyone during Quidditch tryouts, which is one of my favorite movie-only moments. It's also odd that the Half-Blood Prince movie completely butchered the book's story in order to focus on the romance and they still couldn't get Harry/Ginny right.
It's definitely a script and directing issue. Large chunks of their relationship got stripped from the story and replaced with... shoelaces and biscuits.
Could you eventually do "What If Ginny was sorted into Slytherin?" I think I've come up with a way she can get sorted into Slytherin: Charlie catches her sneaking into the quidditch supply which makes him train her and it fuels her ambition to be a professional quidditch player, so she's even more determined and ambitious so she gets sorted into Slytherin.
I love these videos. I love their banter. The giant horse drawing, exesively hiding their answer just before showing them, "We know your ways, Kangaroo!", it brings me such joy. I really cracked up during the batbogey discussion.

Not sure why this only just dawned on me, but having Frrd and George be introduced as incredible Beaters, Ron showcasing his skills as a stellar Keeper, and Ginny go on to play as a professional Chaser really shows that the Weasley clan produces some top shelf Quidditch players. Was Bill or Charlie the Seeker when they'd play games at home? Or, further yet, was Arthur or Molly secretly a Quidditch buff in their Hogwarts years and passed the trait down the family line?
Charlie was on the Hogwarts team as a Seeker starting in his 2nd year. At some point he became Captain. Ironic since he had a short, stocky build and you would typically want someone with a slimmer build for speed.
