For the question about he Higgs particle, yes it’s a thing - it’s the quantum particle and the most recent fundamental (I.e. not made up of anything smaller, like electrons but not protons/neutrons) particle to be discovered
I think Armando Debit was in the house of Hufflepuff because if he was able to be lenient towards having Hagrid work at the school even though he was found to be guilty and expelled and think he would be very sympathetic when Dumbledore would have given him his reason why I should do it.
I was not expecting every single comment to be about the newspaper clipping question, but I'm not disappointed. J def should not have gotten the point for that. It would be nice to see them address this in the next quiz video.
I always think of Umbridge as a Hufflepuff (blind loyalty, her own sense of justice, etc), but since her sorting is a Pottermore thing, it's not my canon.
I love how Umbridge is so universally and intensely hated that Ben has to specify he doesn't think negatively of Ravenclaw when he says he keeps thinking of Umbridge as a Ravenclaw.
Do you think anyone ever just called him Sal? Also, what are the odds that all four founders had first and last names that started with the same letter. It's like the Wizarding World was founded by Stan Lee.

Loved the video, hilarious as always ! I've started re-reading philsophers stone, and a sudden thought came to me. How close was Harry to developing an Obscurial? The Dursleys definitely suppress his magic, especially by punishing and beating Harry every time he did anything magic related 🤔
Since his mother's sacrifice is so powerful it could be the reason why he never developed an obscurial. Beside we never witness any scenes where he trys to supress his magic.
This is a win for Ben. J is always trying to manipulate and convince the quiz reader to give him the point when Ben has the more on-point answer, and when it's the other way around he argues against Ben getting the point. Someone's gotta call him out
I wish we can vote on who should take over for J since he has to have his way many Tyler the younger Carlin brother I think he be a sore loser like his older brother
Considering J and Ben's struggle to remember the Hufflepuff students, I might just briefly pay for the Quizmaster tier and submit one or two questions **rubs hands together maliciously**
Hey guys, I doubt anyone will read this or care, but there is a thought that has been bugging me and I want to share it with others to see what other people think. Here are a few things we know as facts: Dumbledore's patronus was the phoenix. Your animagus form is the same as your patronus. Animagus can become magical creatures. Therefore, if Dumbledore became an animagus, he would turn into a phoenix. Phoenixes are immortal. If killed, they are reborn from the ashes. So what i've been wondering is... When Dumbledore got ring cursed and knew he was going to die, he still had a lot of time before it actually happened and made a plan for snape to kill him to save malfoy, etc etc. But what if instead he dedicated the next month to becoming an Animagus. Then transformed into a phoenix and let himself be killed. What would happen? Because he can't really be "killed" because he would be immortal and any harm serious enough to harm any other creature would instead trigger a rebirth. Would it have removed the curse? You'd think having your entire form be destroyed by flame and reconstituting it from the flames and ashes could remove ANY kind of curse. Seems like he could just change back afterwards and be fine maybe? Or if he would still be cursed in his human form, could he instead choose to live forever in phoenix form? If so, I wonder if thats where they come from in the first place... What if Fawkes was just some dumbledore-like wizard from an age past that changed to stay alive when his body otherwise wouldn't. I dunno. Just random stuff I think about sometimes. It would've been pretty cool if Dumbledore had a cure-all and immortality power in his back pocket, and it actually would've made sense given everything we know.
Question 13. In book seven it says "He (Phineas) venerated Snape, the first Slytherin headmaster since he himself had controlled the school", but Umbrige is also a Slytherin. If both are true, and considering the head's office sealed itself against Umbrige since didn't rightfully get the title, I don't think Umbrige counts. Thus severus, phineas, and dilys is a valid answer
For question 6 - snape started before Harry was attacked, he says in his meeting with belletrix in book 6 that he took the role at Voldemorts orders but when the prophecy was made he was not yet a teacher according to trelawney so I think it's realistic to say it was probably before Harry was attacked, so he started in like 81/82
the slytherin dormatory enterance should have been to find the false brick(s) in the wall (an example of cunning) or to state something you accomplished in the last week (ambition) and the door would refuse you if the door didn't recognize it as YOUR accomplishment. both inspirations are twists on the Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw dorm entrances but this way each of the houses would at least have an entrance that reflected their house values.
Since Slughorn taught Lilly and the Maurauders and Snape, but Snape get his job just a couple of years later, we know roughly when he retired the first time within a few years margin. We don't know exactly when he started, but we now for sure he was already established as the person to make connections when Tom Riddle first came to Hogwarts, and that Mrs. Wealsy says she think he started around the same time as Dumbledore. I can't remember if they ever go into more detail than that, but I feel like "nearly 60 years" sounds familiar, but I also have a feeling they are not actually talking about Slughorn, but about the DADA teacher that was retiring that Riddle hoped to replace, that they mention in the memory.
You should have questions with multiple answers (like select all that apply) that only give one point for the current quiz, but each correct answer gives a full point towards end of year scoring.
i could be completly wrong but wasn't the reason snape was in hogsmead to overhear the prophercy because he was there to interview for the potions position after Trelawney

The Slytherin Seeker question is one of the moments when I realize I know a lot more stuff about the first four books than the last three.
Tonks was a Puff of course. So any questions about her too. Like what did her Petronus change from, before turning into a wolf.
I think J should have got .5 points for newspaper clipping, and Ben .5 for dungeon.
Both were kind of correct, but incomplete.
That means Ben is up 1! 😅
J makes me so nervous with how close that I pad gets to that candle every video 😂
I have a little head-canon based on a fanfic I read, that only Godric called him Sal and Slytherin acted annoyed about it but secretly enjoyed it
They were probably all like that: God, Helg, Row and Sal. No wonder Godric had such an ego. Everyone kept calling him God.
🤷♀
"*Someone* came a little more prepared than someone else" has such older sibling energy, and I can relate - also: "Does grammar count, cuz that sentence was a disaster"
Someone's gotta call him out
100%
Its not that serious
I've felt this way for years and it drives me crazy. Ben always gets the short end of the stick in these videos.
@@TheEnecca It's not "serious" but as someone who watches every one of these it bothers me and a lot of other people a lot
I wish we can vote on who should take over for J since he has to have his way many Tyler the younger Carlin brother I think he be a sore loser like his older brother
Crabbe and Goyle never even get sorted in the first book! Always been somewhat of a mystery to me
Considering J and Ben's struggle to remember the Hufflepuff students, I might just briefly pay for the Quizmaster tier and submit one or two questions **rubs hands together maliciously**
I don't think Umbridge should count cause there is no way she has a headmasters portrait put up in that office!!!🫤
J should have only had 9 points the two the gave him credit for made no sense. He lacked all the details that the quiz specifically asked for.
There is always a good day when they upload.
J doesn't get the newspaper clipping if Ben didn't get dungeons
The way everyone just stimmed for a bit with the finger sound-thing 😂
Hey guys, I doubt anyone will read this or care, but there is a thought that has been bugging me and I want to share it with others to see what other people think.
Here are a few things we know as facts:
Dumbledore's patronus was the phoenix.
It would've been pretty cool if Dumbledore had a cure-all and immortality power in his back pocket, and it actually would've made sense given everything we know.
animagi are not always the same as patronuses
@@catapultato1733 Whose wasn't the same or where was that written?
Question 13. In book seven it says "He (Phineas) venerated Snape, the first Slytherin headmaster since he himself had controlled the school", but Umbrige is also a Slytherin. If both are true, and considering the head's office sealed itself against Umbrige since didn't rightfully get the title, I don't think Umbrige counts. Thus severus, phineas, and dilys is a valid answer
or maybe J.K. just wasn't consistent.....
For question 6 - snape started before Harry was attacked, he says in his meeting with belletrix in book 6 that he took the role at Voldemorts orders but when the prophecy was made he was not yet a teacher according to trelawney so I think it's realistic to say it was probably before Harry was attacked, so he started in like 81/82
Hi Isabelle! I'm glad you're here!
wait...NO SCENIC ROUTE?!?! No BRB?!?! Madness, I tell you!!
OMG YOU’RE RIGHT! I knew that something was missing!!! 😭
I FRICKING LOVE THESE
the slytherin dormatory enterance should have been to find the false brick(s) in the wall (an example of cunning) or to state something you accomplished in the last week (ambition) and the door would refuse you if the door didn't recognize it as YOUR accomplishment. both inspirations are twists on the Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw dorm entrances but this way each of the houses would at least have an entrance that reflected their house values.
I feel like I can hear movie Slughorn say something about nearly 60 years but it's been a long time since I've watched those movies
Sentence of the video :"Basilisks don't have horns." These videos always bring me joy.
I know i haven't watched the video yet, I just wanted to say that it really adds to my day when I see a new SBC video got uploaded
2:48 Ben???
2:13 Godric (LOL JK)
Awesome content, as always!
I love Snape's kat nickname
Only missed 3, that headmaster question threw me, good job!
According to the Harry Potter wiki, Armando Dippet was 354 or 355 years old when he died??? What?!
24:36 I was thinking the same thing when I saw her name! I got confused because I thought she was a Ravenclaw
Fortnight is a common measurement of time in Australia
Its kind of weird that they were talking at the end about all these Hufflepuffs and completely left out Cedric
I totally forgot about home too
*him
Yeah, he's like the only member of my house people remember
2:48 Ben swore i cant believe it
He said "are you sure?"
0:54 said Ben, calmly
HEY BROTHER! You always make My days better ❤️❤️❤️🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡
You should have questions with multiple answers (like select all that apply) that only give one point for the current quiz, but each correct answer gives a full point towards end of year scoring.
@ 21:43 Ben, ur right, Higgs Boson Particle is a thing in physics
I read somewhere that Armando Dippet could've been a castelabruxo student and then went to Hogwarts for work
These guys had that password question once before, missed it, but the correct answer was bimonthly. 😂
I ALSO was thinking Umbridge was in Ravenclaw!
When will the next part of What if James kept the Invisibility Cloak come out?
Thanks for the video!
I keep worrying someone is gonna knock that candle over mid video. Lol
i could be completly wrong but wasn't the reason snape was in hogsmead to overhear the prophercy because he was there to interview for the potions position after Trelawney
Ben accept that you are a true badger. We welcome you with love and homemade baked goods! 🦡
