been streaming for about 5 years now, still haven't made it past 250 followers on twitch. I'm lucky to get 5, 6 viewers any given time. this used to really upset me, thinking "basically nobody is watching, what am I doing this for". and while I wish at times to have more viewers, the few I do have have been with me for many years. they show up almost every time I go live, even though some of my audience lives half a world away from me in different time zones. I am truly grateful to have them. and they showed me that there is truth to this one rule: be yourself. I'm very shy, not really entertaining or eloquant, heck I know very little about... well, anything truth be told. I used to think I had to be more explosive, aggressive, to trigger a reaction. but that wasn't me, and it made me feel like a fool. I'm fine with my small viewership, more viewers might just stress me out too much and then I wouldn't enjoy streaming no more. still, I do like to watch videos like this, just to see if there are changes I can make that don't go against myself too much. thanks for the advice :)
I was gonna listen to you yap anyway 😂, but I like the gameplay! A simple/repetitive game was a good idea since it wasn't too distracting. Thanks for another great vid man 🔥
Ironically, about the gameplay over the video, I think that because this video didn't require me to watch to see what you're doing in OBS, settings, etc. I could just listen while working on something else, and still get the information I was looking for! Very informative, and I relate to the passion you have about these topics and the "mistakes" people make when trying to grow a stream. Great video. Keep cooking up bangers King
First off, I love and respect you and nutty so much for all the hard work and time you put into your videos! You go above and beyond to help streamers make the most out of what they have and to continue doing what they love! Idk why the gameplay worked for me INSTANTLY. As soon as you put it on and started talking, I retained more of what you were saying, which is so weird to me, lol! 😂
Should've used Subway Surfer just for the meme points :3 On a serious note, thank you for all the work and care you put out to begginers like myself, hope you the best ❤
what i like to do for scheduling is have ONE one stream that you never cancel. maybe once a week maybe its the ONE game or thing you do consistently. Just to keep your drive alive. A commitment to Yourself that you will do something. Ive seen alot of streamers fall into the void of laters, whens, and ifs, they have dreams of doing these things but always have an excuse for themselves. Whether it be new tech working on something or whatever. HAVE ONE DAY and stick to it, the rest is all bonus!
The acronym in music production is GAS: Gear Acquisition Syndrome. "If I only had this expensive mic, or this expensive synthesizer, my music would be great." Limitations are where creativity happens. Not having the latest and greatest stuff forces you to understand the ins-and-outs of what you already have and actually gives you more freedom to create and be productive. Cheers!
If you think about it the "big streamers" don't really have a professional looking stream. A lot of large streamers have a very simplistic stream, no fancy overlays, chat rewards etc.. at least in my experience. Also a successful streamer is themselves but only better. That statement sounded familiar to me, I wonder who said that before 😅😉
Time. Set times you will stream and stick to that. Think about how the news or TV shows work, people know the time they are going to be on air. A lot of people like to be ready to watch a stream or if it's an online multiplayer game join you and play while you stream.
I really appreciate you and your videos very informative and helpful i learn alot from watching your videos and i just wanted to say thank you and i appreciate you!!
If you're not having fun... Nobody is gonna be entertained... I make sure I thank every first time chatter. Ask them how they found the channel and let the conversation evolve how the viewer wants it to. I primarily run iracing so sometimes chat isn't as active but most people will perk up when I get through a particularly sweaty moment.. I also gave chat song requests and some self deprecating channel points for when my race isn't going so well.. And tell chat hey these are for you guys to use because I know sometimes I get in the moment and am not as engaging as I normally am. That the playlist is theirs and go ham that I listen to everything and want them to have something to feel more a part of the stream.
Early to a video :O I found the game footage kinda distracting, tbh. You're normally very interesting to listen to and I personally don't think you need any other footage :) Perhaps just showing some notes on the side or pics relating to what you're talking about would've been nice instead :) The schedule talk was 100% relatable. I'm the exact same. Freedom ftw.
I think the gameplay helped. I am kinda happy with how much of these I over came over the past few years I've been streaming. the first one where I was waiting for someone to be in chat to start entertaining was one of the first things I fixed and I started making stream outlines to tell myself how this stream is going to go regardless of viewership. the last one i am working on is the schedule thing I think I am going to break away from scheduling my streams and have outlines prepared for when I find the time to stream which is surprisingly often. and keep it simple is one is my favorite thing to do lol
i hope you making content about resting password and after resetting it your try to login and you cant login cause it said Your browser is not currently supported. Please use a recommended browser or learn more here
ok question: one of your tip is don't be boring. OK but what if you think you are boring? like you can yap, and game but still think you are boring. what then?
Then work on it. Personally, after watching my own VODs i'll practice my speech, my tone, my posture, how often I look at the camera, my game face, any and everything that bothers me while watching my VOD is something I can slowly improve on. I'll stand in front of a mirror and talk about a subject. I'll play games off stream, and pretend to be streaming to practice focusing on the game and engaging chat at the same time. Find specific things and practice improving them.
i’d rather see you speak and not be distracted ! i even hear it in your voice ! you panik, not as usual, you are afraid to not be listenned to , i can hear it. and frankly.... im french, just like you and if you have trouble to be focused on what you say, i have trouble to focus on you. i usually love those video of yours you are focused in what you say and you think about what you say, which is rare.... in that space : online
ok you get more into it with the time passing, as usual, but... yeah... idk. i’d rather no gameplay... i always hated watching people play but... as you wish. just saying, i find that distracting, if i didnt know you already, i don’t think i would’ve stayed but like i said this kind of videos are my favorite of yours so i stay :)

Thanks for the kind words and feedback. I'm so glad it worked. My terrible driving might be here to stay lol
Your videos are always underrated thanks for your value.
My favorite thing to do is talk to myself XD I love talking about random stuff. 🤭Thanks for the tips!

Yes! Music and Filmmaking also have a lot of victims of GAS
This comes out the moment I started streaming. Thanks for this, man.
Great Advice!! But you should definitely put some Subway Surfers gameplay instead

You learn from your mistakes 🎉 well said as always

the second mistake is SUCH great advice.
6:20… I’m genuinely curious as to what “chat, clip that” means.
It's to highlight a moment in the stream
@ so you can actually have a chat do this?!? 🤯
I love that your game is beam ng drive i was about to boot it up and mindlessly drive around watching this but u got it done for me lol.
Such good advice , great vid
