They're all so vital for helping to absorb water that is overwhelming the cities that he's not doing anything about as it is I don't even know if he's bothered Shoring up all the levees and things like that that led to that last bit of tragic flooding after the hurricane. If he was worth a damn he would make sure his state was safe and not be trying to add another Golf Course to the 40 other ones right around it

I don’t want any more of our wildlife habitat being handed over to developers to “improve”. We have homeless bobcats making dens in peoples backyards because they have no place to go. They will die off as their prey die off because their food sources are considered weeds. Neatly trimmed lawns have no room for weeds! Plus the increasing amount of runoff from lawn fertilizers/herbicides/pesticides is just killing everything. I myself leave the weeds growing in my backyard and I’ve had to put out watering stations. I live in a (now congested) subdivision and I have hosted a family of Florida marsh rabbits for the past six years. The city cut down their habitat for no apparent reason (just creating jobs).
They should have a natural place to live.

Leaker, whistleblower, ethical government worker ... not much difference.
I'd like to see the "back of envelope" calculations and speed letters between developers interested in available acreage and proximity to lodging and entertainment that could be accessed from existing or potential highway interchanges. Jonathan Dickinson State Park, for example, could be less than five miles from a sought-after FL Turnpike and I-95 interchange *if* there was lodging and parking. Floridian developers have created smooth strategies to avoid federal oversight and environmental regulation, like making 'privately financed' toll roads. Those gears aren't resting, and I'll wager movers and shakers are counting on some setbacks but enough wins to stay greased.
