Love my talaria all stock no issues and I have about 3680 km on it I do a lot of long rides rear tire is getting worn down but other then that love it 😂👍 Dude that gearbox yikes 😬
You should do a video to show riders how to lock tight or replace the screws and avoid ruining gearboxes. Many riders are likely not skilled at making repairs but that could follow your instructions. I am one. Informative video. Thanks!
Very informative video. I just purchased a 24 MX3. The only mods I have so far are bars, pegs and tires. Your Talaria is amazing! 🏁 Good advice on tightening the bolts at the motor. My rear brake went out so I'm going to keep the rear brake like you but I have to buy a bleeder kit.
Gotta run the chain with ~5/8" slack. It’s gotta be quite tight compared to other bikes. The rear frame geometry since the front and rear sprocket can sorta move together work well. When I got mine, I ran it what I would call normal loose and after the 1st ride it had banged (just a tiny bit) the heat fins in front of the rear sprocket. As far as locktite….even my damn oil plug was blued dipped. Good to know about the motor screws…. I’ll have to check those.
Same, just over 600mi and zero issues. I do mostly street riding at full throttle 90% of the time. I also do occasional MX style riding with my son on some of the small tracks locals put together out here where I live; maybe a hand full of times a month. The bike has been great. Although I'm starting to feel the need for more power.
@@jondoe6618 Yeah I'm abasically set on the cheapest route possible lol. KO Nano and bypass. I'll run that at ~8000kW until I can can justify the purchase of a battery.
Hi, You are the same, like me. I had a rooster and he was always crowed when i tried to make a video or a phone call. :D I am waiting for your rewiev about the upgraded parts. I am interested mainly the front suspension. Because my bikes DNMs are a piece of...
Overall about the same. I reckon if you didn't upgrade the power, most of these things wouldn't have gone wrong and the bike will still have run just fine
@@electricisbetter Looking on marketplace near me I can get either a 21 talaria or a 22 surron for 4k asking, I know they added low rpm power to the surron in 23 as well as the bigger battery. Am I getting more for my money stock for stock with the talaria? I'm sure I'll end up going 72 volt as I've had several full size bikes.
@@LongboardManiac plus tax puts it over 5k, the surron in marketplace has 180 miles and the talaria has like 600 or something. Pretty new still but I hear where you're coming from
Say no more. You lost me on the idea of it when you said the bike ripped itself in half! Really even before that since I can only guess how much money you threw at it. Sounds like a money pit like my 2005 KTM 450 EXC converted to a 560cc. That bike has been in the shop more than 2 months due to the same problem of not wanting to start all the time. Now that I paid $716 to have a new carburetor and some fork seals fixed, and a hole in the tank, the main problem is the stator not working so another $240 to fix it and then it goes back on the market again where I found it three years ago. I probably only have. Two hours actual riding time on it myself. I also have a 1999 Honda XR 400. It needs to be cleaned up as well since it's sat for so long but I have never had any issues with that bike. Just clean the air filter and change the oil once in a while and it runs forever. Can't beat gas and can't beat a Honda for me. The only one advantage that I see a Talaria having is the weight difference. It looks fun, but too much spent to get it there
Your treating this thing like a 250 dirt bike and I was hoping you’d just admit that. I’m 4.3k miles in and have had none of your issues because I’m not out running races and thrashing the crap out of it. SurRon would suffer the same fate with your riding also tho. Maybe it’s time you look at a proper electric dirt bike for your racing.

Nice video mate thanks for the info
have around 600 miles on mine. No problems whatsoever yet. But I don't ride it real hard either. Mostly wheelies and tight singlet racks.
I'll add that to this video. Becuase I beat this one to hell 😂

Are you going to upgrade to the 2023 version or keep this one?

Should be up next Saturday or Sunday
Did they fix all the problems with the new R ?
I want one
Question have you had any problems with the chain adjusters I had those on bikes and stripped them
Yes. I've had to retap the Talaria ones
After having the sting for a year, how does it compare to the surron?

@Cameron McClure I'd just buy it new at that price :/ I'm seeing them for 4,400$ brand new online. You gotta pay shipping but it's like 200
