Hi! I’ve been trying to paint glasses but I end up having to do 5 layers for it to be opaque! Are you priming it before you start painting? I’m using decoart glass paint and glass enamels but you can hardly see the first layer. I’m trying to do line art but it looks a mess!

@ I don’t prime first and usually do two layers. I do find that the Deco Art glass paint is quite transparent especially in the lighter colours. If you use a multi surface paint it will be much more opaque. It will dry pretty matte though. If you want a gloss effect you could always paint a thin layer of clear Decoart Duraclear Gloss Varnish as a final step then bake. Warning though, if you use the Duraclear over white, it can yellow it . Found that out the hard way when I painted some snowmen and they turned yellow! Lol

@ Lines art is tricky for sure when handpainting. I tend to steer clear of that or use oil based paint pens.
