I’ve been making these for 4 years. Sold hundreds of them. People love them. To avoid the hole in the bottom, pour a bit of resin in the mold, sit the wine glass in and push up from the bottom until the air bubble comes out. Then the bottom will be flat. I use geode coaster molds that take 3 oz of resin. Congrats on this.
Terri are the glasses dishwasher proof, as you've sold so many I wonder if you've had any reviews on it as I'd like to make some but wondering what to put on my after care cards
@@shelleytimson1591 No, they’re not. They need to be hand washed and hand dried.
Terri, how do you finish the sides since you use the geode molds? Love that idea!
@@lindanicodemus9306 I use a sanding block and lightly sand the rough edge off the top and leave them as they are.
@@terribemiss40 thank you so much!!
Such a clever idea! So many possibilities. They’d be great wedding gifts. Those that have Cricut’s.. you could personalize the glasses with the couples names on the base, add some clear resin with mini holographic hearts glitter. Maybe even some ribbon, I’ve never put ribbon in resin.. I have no idea if it would even work?!😂 Lotsa fun ideas to try out!
Love that idea
@@alberthabrown8432 Thanks 😊
Wow!!! Not only are these gorgeous but it’s such a clever idea!! I like your idea of prepping them upside down pour a bit of resin into the underside dip but I would wrap a thick strip of frog tape creating a barrier/wall so it doesn’t overflow & extend out over the sides! The frog tape pulls away nicely just in case it ends up touching the tape! What a beautiful gift these would make!! 🤍
One of the most clever and beautiful ways resin has been used. The glasses are now more a goblet to be passed down to future generations!
I think a sapphire blue and deep hot pink would look amazing the mixing of colors in the middle would make a pretty purple
What a brilliant idea. So unique and pretty. I love the thickness as is. Not too over powerful. I do quilling and put the creations in resin, so I eventually will try this with quilled vines and flowers going up the stem slightly and down into the coaster. Love this! 🤩
Clever idea Linda. 💕😊💕
Would love to see your results!
They turned out great. Love the gold with black and white. I think the are plenty thick. Can't wait to see you do more of these.
I would have just used the opposite corners. With your mold (heart in middle), you would have room to move then. Really awesome idea! Love your creativity!! ❤❤❤
As you suggested, I added a bit of resin on the bottom to fill the void. Let them dry overnight. Perfect, for no bubbles! Thanks for all the excellent education and beautiful work!
I’ve done this and it’s a real talking point at the dinner table.
Love your creations.
Thanks Julie.
What a cool idea!! I love them, and the colour combination with the gold glitter is amazing. I can't wait to see more. It would be cool if you could get a silicone mould with tapered sides so that the edge of the base of the glass didn't have straight up and down sides, a bit like a real wine glass base? Julie you make beautiful moulds, I bet you could make one specifically for this!
You’re a genius. This sounds like a wonderful idea to personalize some useful items. ❤️ thanks Julie!!!
I have to say that I prefer the old way you were filming. I know it is a hassle to go round the table etc but I feel like we miss out a bit from this angle. I don't even do resin and I don't want to miss seeing anything you do lol . Love the glasses. Can't wait to see what else you do.
I think the thickness is absolutely perfect! You nailed it! 😊
Wow
My girlfriends birthday is coming up & this with a nice bottle of wine is perfect
So fun, I've dipped base, which is pretty, but you've taken it a step further. Great idea
I think you hit the nail on the head by doing a two step resin. These came out beautiful by the way! You could do colors for different holidays with something distinctive for each glass. That way they would all have the same theme but you’d be able to tell who’s glass was whose
Thanks so much for this. I had this idea too and thought as a bonus the base will help to stabilise the wine glasses. Love that you ran the trial. Lovely.
Love these!!!! My sister just put a wine bar in her house so you've given me her Christmas present with some personalized glasses. What a brilliant idea!!! And they turned out so lovely 😍 💜. Thank you! You're a dream 🥰
Haha that’s a great idea! My sis in law is always talking about “doing up” her bar lol. Thank you!!
Thanks for trying them first for us! I learn what to and not to do from many of your videos. These look beautiful. I think I love your idea of different color for each wine glass. Cant wait to see you do more of them. Thanks again for sharing!
So pretty, what a great idea! Thanks for showing the whole process and ideas
love how you have done the wine glasses. never have tried them this way. looks a lot easier. love your work Julie
Thx Julie, such a fun way to play with resin. I agree the smaller coaster would be a good choice, otherwise I would risk tapping the base into a table or someone else. I guess I'm not accustomed to wide based wine glasses. I appreciate your humor and you sharing your thought process.
HI Julie, WOW really loved the way your wine glasses turned out so pretty & a fab idea & I think with your different shape mold the glasses will look even more pretty thanks for sharing a fab idea Lin 🤗❤️👍
Well done Julie, they look absolutely fabulous ❤️
Love this idea. Will make a great gift along with matching coasters and platters.
I’ll try using up resin in the bottom so it’s set when I tip over and also love the other ladies suggestion of a coloured bead or stone. Can’t wait to try this 🥰
Absolutely gorgeous Julie. Love you tons. Thank you so kindly for sharing your wonderful creations and teachings.
Love, love love the coaster bottom wine glasses! Great idea! Love your channel 😊 ❤.
I really like the idea of using dried flowers. To begin with, you could put one on the bottom with the wine glass upside-down, then put it in the mold after its cured. You might not get any trapped bubbles then. I really love this project, and plan to make some to sell at the farmers market! You always give me so much inspiration!
Beautiful, very inspiring. Love your ideas and appreciate the tutorial 😊
These are absolutely gorgeous! I’ve done them as beach waves and add a thin layer of resin first then the next day I add the glass. 🤗
So pretty!!! I’m waiting on my molds I ordered from you. I can’t wait to make my wine glasses. I think it will be a great Mother’s Day gift. Thank you for all you do. I truly enjoy watching you. You get so worried about what your doing and it always comes out AMAZING!!!!❤
Oh wow Julie love these there so elegant. Can’t wait to see what others you make. X
sweet - love the idea - I have two weddings that I'm going to - both wine drinkers - thank you for this awesome share - love watching all your tutorials
Great idea Julie ! Thanks and yes do more of these they came out awesome. Thanks 👏👍😊
What a fantastic idea! They’re so pretty.
How cute!!! Such a great idea!
Fantastic! Absolutely gorgeous! I have vintage glasses from an op shop that are gorgeous and have been waiting for the right idea to do something with them...so excited! Thanks so much for sharing! :) Love how excited you get at the unexpected results ❤️
Love it!😍 I actually don't think the concave bit underneath is an issue at all. It will help prevent your glass from "suctioning" itself to your table. 😉
These would make amazing wedding presents. Ooh…do the holographic insets in the bottom with clear so it shows through the bottom. That would be cool too.
I love the honesty and vulnerability of this!
I would love to see what it looks like if you pre fill the cavity underneath with Glitter, confetti, sprinkles, etc. This was such a fun project to watch! I love how you get so excited! You brighten my day 💖
Julie, great idea with these wine glasses, so pretty.
You are a delight to listen to and I have wanted to try these for ages, can’t wait now.......yours are gorgeous
You're a genius. OMG I need to get wine 🍷 glasses. Great gift 🎁 idea. I'm so excited. Thanks Julie.
What a great idea. They would be such a great gift for any occasion.
Fantastic idea for my granddaughters wedding party! She wants pastel colors with silver! I think they will turn out beautiful if they are like yours.... Thank You for sharing this idea! Made my day!
I am in love with these!!
Love Love ❤️ these glasses.
They turned out perfectly. I wasn’t sure how the resin sound go on the glass but it’s fabulous
Well done Julie
I make tonnes of these and can tell you that when you pour straight into the mould you cannot see any air bubbles at all when the resin is set.
Love it. So creative and a good conversation starter. Love it .
This is so beautiful. I will definitely do some myself. Thanks for sharing.
I really love this idea!! Thank you for sharing 🤍💛🤍
What a great idea! LOVE IT! 💥❤️
They turned out beautiful
Goodness, these are wonderful! Yes, I want to see more. So cool. xoxo
Just got your moulds yesterday, can't wait to make them, I'm nervous but going to do the black and white, they look so elegant. thanks for sharing. Julie. Love you moulds, plus I got the deep mould hearts as well. thank you for the beautiful blue heart as a gift. I live in Canada and it didn't actually take too long to receive them.

What a great idea, and they look lovely, well done 👏
Really neat idea with endless possibilities for sure!! Well done my friend❤️
They’re beautiful! Perfect thickness
Girl you are so creative I love them! I definitely would like resin on the bottom so that it would look more like the bottom that way. But and I love the gold on the glass itself just perfection❤️🥰
Fantastic idea! Thank you 🙏 I love watching your videos. You make me laugh. That is a wonderful thing. Who doesn’t love to laugh? 💕
I really love this. You have inspired me. I will do them as gifts and may add vinyl to them. 🥰
Great job, they turned out beautifully. 🥂🍾

Absolutely beautiful 😍
You never know what will happen until you experiment!! Very nice.
Lovely glasses and you sound like a genuinely great person. So creative💜
Those turned out beautiful.
I did this about a year ago using geode coaster molds! They came out amazing!
Those came out beautiful, 💞💞💞👍
What a fantastic idea
i loved these so much , i love home made art and bubbles would not worry me at all , you do so many cool things julie and love relaxing watching what you do :)
Loved this idea!!!
What a awesome clever idea!
what a brilliant look for those glasses
Such a fun idea and a beautiful out come. Love it ❤️ Your idea of fake fruit sounds great, especially if you are serving sangria. 😋
Berry brilliant and uniquely beautiful
I made a similar project. To avoid the big bubble, I poured resin into the "dimple" first and let it cure. Once it was cured, I could turn the glass around and go on with my project
I love these. Such a great idea. What if you did them in a bit deeper mold? Liked your idea of using individual molds for each one in order to ease your additions of resin 😊 stunning!! Can't wait to see more!
Cute. I’ve seen these done by other people. It’s a cool idea if you drink wine.
I love this!!!! I'm going to try it!
I love these! Such a great idea!
Love them Julie....beautiful job 👍😍
Oh, Julie! These are SO COOL! ❤👍 Elegant, functional, highly giftable...just *gorgeous*! I LOVE these and I *have* to try this! *Thank you* so much, dearest lady, for your amazing tutorials. You are so very generous with your time, talent, and treasure. Have I ever told you how fun it is to hear your friendly, happy chat? Truly, it feels so much like a friend visiting with me, describing her day, her ideas. 💗💗💗 I think the depth of the base is perfect! 👍
Many of the comments below offer great ideas (Holographic silicone laid on the filled base!!), but my first thought was...that poor, wee heart in the middle. It's always ignored! 😄 Wouldn't that make the cutest little wine glass or gift tag?!? I can hardly wait to see you do more! Love you back. 🤗❤
Brilliant Julie ! ❤️
