That tomahawk serve was pretty darn legal looking, at least from this camera angle. WTT needs to figure something out in terms of consistently and accurately enforcing service rules. They are probably too stingy to pay the fees for the HawkEye technology, which I think would be a really good option.
Sathiyan performs this same Tomahawk serve in every tournment but never got fault if you see properly in this game also the serve was not hidden unlike the french player its not a fault in my opinion. The quality of the umpire has degraded they do a lot of mistakes.

Sathiyan should juat have played on. It is hard to hide a tomahawk serve so i get his point, and usually most umpires warn though they do not have to in the rule book, but he should just have asked for clarification of the cause and moved on.
Totally agree. Moreover his post shown doesn't look right. He didn't show sportman behavior when points were given to him with faults on opponent service. I had seen him making scene in last year national tournament again manav thakkar and then I stopped following him. He is filled with ego rather than skills now. Look at Sharath on the counterpart, he keeps on giving fight with his skills.
I don't know why he got point deducted. I can see sathiyan tossing the ball high enough as well and not hiding it while in serve position too. I think they did this to compensate Poret
Some mess up from Umpires but Sathiyan did show non sportsman spirit. Both the players had got same treatment so Sathiyan should have played his game and won instead of creating fuss like he did. I didn't like his behaviour as a Indian paddler. He was not focussed to win but focussed on other things. Not sure why indians make it such a ego issue.

Sathiyan received a fault directly without a warning is definitely the worst umpiring.

Why did Sathiyan take a long 5 minutes break when it's not allowed?? Unfair game began from there.

Per the rules, the ball should always be in sight for the opponent and not for the umpire
