First of all I want to thank you for this channel and great content. You're so inspiring and basically because of this channel I decided to buy my own fiber laser. One thing that I haven't yet found answer and is a mystery to me is the cleaning pass when doing deep engraving. Would that be a good topic for video? How to determine the settings for cleaning pass, what's the science behind that? Does it burn the crud out of the recess and why the normal engraving settings wont? Is the crud needing different wavelength or frequency to be burned as it is different from the main material? Sorry if this topic is already covered. Thank you.
I’m sure you get this a lot but I really appreciate your videos! I Just picked up a 30 watt fiber laser and I’m able to do my knife logo and simple lettering now! Digging in deeper now to get the settings dialed in! Thank you!
Got it. Even at 10x that’s still doing a lot of work, fast! This video, like your others, help more than you know and I really appreciate your time and videos because your hard work and time benefits all of us and is extremely helpful.
In all seriousness and dad jokes aside, very good stuff and makes a great point. There are a lot of industries, businesses, or just peoples making stuff that could really add value (or reduce added processes outside the business walls) by doing cool stuff like this as a use-case. Lots of ideas to comb through.... sorry i had to :)
Check your line distance, for most general work you want to be around .025mm - also make sure hatch #2 and #3 are disabled unless you're using them for something specific.
Theres really no need for the multi hatch to clean up every few passes - much better to just engrave to the depth you want; then do your clean up passes and finish you want.

Did I hear that the videos were real time? Great work and helps a TON. Thanks!
The videos in HERE aren't real time. Most are 5x or 10x but he was watching them real time and was impressed with the speed :P

I would love to see more videos like this using a 100watt Mopa laser.
Hello Alex, hope all is well. Quick question, I'm assuming you are using your common .025 hatch pattern on these combs?
That is correct :)
Well, HAIR we are, COMB to watch the video. I'll never PART ways with such great knowledge :)

Yeah I was just showing him different marks the machine could do, they weren't being done in any particular order.
