I have GB142-30 with identical symptoms. As I was not willing pay such huge price for new fan, I tried used my experience with power electronics to repair fun. Fan use here sourced from AC 230V and speed is pwm controlled from UBA, and also UBA is sensing rotation speed of FAN. Seen error 3C is related to fact that UBA did not recognised expected rotation speed of fan at initialization /operation phase. Control and sensing signal are isolated in opto-electronics. I spent hours with digging info and experience of other people with this piece of hardware -finally I found some web pointing to dried electrolyte capacitor in fan electronics. After replacing them Boiler worked fine several months (8-10). Later same problem appear there. Then I used oscilloscope observe signals to/from UBA, but nothing wrong found . After time spent repairing this ... fan, I give up and put all back - and surprised boiler worked next almost 10 months. Then another testing, measuring, cabling check ( suspected cracked cables because vibration from fan) and after several hours all switched off - boiler started working. Now ( 8 months from last touch ) again that stupid 3C error . I remember from last repair that including pulling AC plug from AC wall socket, I put plug in opposite side of socket extender. (here in Slovakia we have socket French style - where L (phase ) should be always on left hole N right and middle-up pin PE) Because I need also connect pump feeding condensate collected in sump I have to use this socket extender . I used old one which have one socket on left one on right, with little strange internal ( simple design) connection causing that on right side are connection to L and N holes swapped in compare of left side. Then last 2 weeks back, discovering again 3C error, i simply plugged AC cord in opposite socket (swapped L and N) - and to my surprise - boiler is working still well. I suspect that capacitors in AC filter (in electronics of fan) are somehow stressed by leaking DC current and permanent voltage somewhere from other circuits in boiler and this caused leaking AC current that disturb sensing signal. It look that time pause ( hours to days) and re-polarisation L-N place chemistry in these capacitors back to normal and fan is able work again several months. Next error for sure I will start measuring currents in PE (green/yellow) circuits and replacing these AC filters ( part of each AC filter are small capacitors connecting L and N to PE (ground), plus some inductors.
Did the old fan completely stop working or did the boiler throw that code and shut down? I ask since my blow is ramping up. I understand it could just not be operating within the parameters.
