I love Vivienne purely because she’s a rebellious punkish designer in the high fashion space since it seems to be mostly made up of rather “proper” acting people. I can’t imagine many designers other than her in a mosh pit.
@@organ5899 Sorry it came across that she was the only one that I could see in a mosh pit or as rebellious, because that’s not the case (clearly because you just gave a few examples). Others that came to my mind were Demna, John Galliano, Raf Simons, and Nigo
As a dressmaker/ designer myself, VW is truly brilliant at cut and concept. She’s far more than just a rock/ punk niche boutiquer, the work is truly original. Clothes are hard, they’re kinetic sculptures that have to fit a body. It’s a rare talent that can cut and she can!
Yeah the idea that her hub would insult her by saying she's "just a seamstress" shows how little he knows...that's literally why her cuts are great, cause she actually knows how to make the clothes!

Well done. For some reason, people often try to write Viv off as just some old kooky lady. But she has always been and remains phenomenal. We must always respect our elders who have paved the way for us.

after binging your videos since November I did see the common theme of "what if they didnt....?" These videos arent just about clothing and design for me. Theyreally are inspirational. It made me consider my personal approach to life in general. ❤️. I'm glad you are doing what you are doing. Another wonderful video.
Viv has always been my favorite designer, I learn so much about her everyday. I am so sad that I discovered her so late in my life. I would love to see more of her style in her pure, natural, honest authenticity.
I literally fell in LOVE with your subtle way of telling us those powerful stories… Within two days I devoured all of your content. I would be so glad to learn from you about Azzedine Alaïa as he was so discrete. Much love and support ❤️
Bro I love this Channel. I’m 34 & it really Made me Remember my Luv for Fashion and Just Creativity in General. You Also Speak on the Business side of things in People lives. The inspiration is Powerful
This is my first Treaducation video. What a well done, beautiful, in-depth presentation of a true fashion icon. Vivienne Westwood walked that fine (curvy) line between security and passion . Fortunately for us all, her steps brought attention to both styles and social issues. This video tells an incredible story and does it amazingly well.
I came to watch this after Viviennes passing I always loved her and wore her clothing in high-school I might not be as successful as her but am making the jump and start designing she's truly a inspiring woman
i already loved vivienne westwood's work so so much, but now knowing her backstory makes me love her all the more!! she's so inspiring, and im so glad the world is able to see her artistry because she was always true to herself :D
This is so well done because I just couldn't seem to find a proper timeline of her works, how she started out and whatnot. I just knew she was influential and cares about the environment
This entire video has been wonderful to watch and very educational, but when you mentioned around 25:55 that she designed the wedding dress in FF15 my jaw dropped. I loved it without knowing who made it.😍 Plus some of my friends wear punk outfits that were clearly influenced by her work. I'm going to share this video with them so they can appreciate and love her, too!
Video was great-I’m a big fashion nerd too 🤓 maybe (and I know it’s a lot of work) you could add more pictures of pieces from her career and collections next time. I know how difficult it is to go through the editing process and putting less pictures means less time and you get more videos put out I totally get it. But as a viewer there’s only so much that you can listen to without something moving in front of you and I think the pictures of her work speak more to the art itself than anyone’s description could of course you did an excellent job and your description of everything we’re just be the icing on the cake on top of the pictures.
Wow, thank you so much for perfectly expressing my view! I agree that a greater amount of her work would be exponentially better for the viewer. Including many of her seminal works by decade and/or film and television could only be a dream come true for many of us.
A lot of actual punks dislike Vivienne Westwood because she didn’t create an inclusive version of punk. However be that as it may, many of the silhouettes that exist in punk, and the very few fashion factions that exist in the subculture are attributed to her. Her contribution is undeniable. Despite modern day punks in my scene hating her because high fashion is part of the Elite and bourgeoisie culture. Which at it’s core is everything punk is against.
Vivienne Westwood first showed up on my radar by the Sex and the City movie when Carrie wore a VW wedding gown. Thank you Threaducation for informing me further on Westwood’s career!
i love this video and it is the first thing i have come to watch since hearing about Vivienne Westwood's passing. thank you for this video RIP to the legend Dame Vivienne Westwood
Soooo good. I love this channel but this was one of the best so far. And I’ve already seen the Westwood doc on Amazon. While that featured her voice and had a certain intimacy, yours filled in some holes and was invigorating in ways i needed. She is one of my heroes. I remember the buffalo hat because i was kid when McClaren’s ‘Buffalo Girls’ vid came out. Yeah this installment was gold. I loved the Telfar, Virgil Abloh, HBA, Blood Osiris and Rick Owens ones as well. THANK YOU.🙏🏽✊🏽👍🏽
Oh, I just Google it, and it was not Tom of Finland (I always thought it was, the style is the same) but the illustrator name is Jim French. Wow, I even own a tie with that print hahaha
Vivienne, the news today has really broken my heart. 💔 The day has come and the true Queen is with us no more. thankyou! learned so much! especially about the logo. anyhoo, naomi proved that it was the tights when she shared that for the finale she walked easily without them
I only know about her through the rocking horse shoes, but seeing the punk to “royalty” transition just feels right with the background context of egl fashion
One of the most pervasive and influential creators in fashion history! She may not have the same notoriety as those before her, such as Coco Chanel, Christian Dior, I believe history will be kind to her and give her the credit is due, and establish her as the fashion renegade we all knew. Rest in Peace Vivienne Westwood, from generations of woman who found their venus in you.
Belief in herself made Vivian..all her inventive fashion brought so much fun into our lives..her support for Julian Assange are well known.. Thankyou for your amazing creative talent..admired and respected always..

The most influential rock and punk female designer in the fashion industry.
Prob THE most influential next to Ann De maybe
The most

Just by the fact that she could’ve settle as a school teacher is mind blowing.
definitely something to ponder on
The punkest thing you can do is become a teacher🖤

imagine having her as a teacher!!
She also inspired the anime/manga Nana. Her and the Sex Pistols .
Love nana
and nana made vivienne westwood super popular in japan, it all came full circle
Malcolm McClaren
Nana introduced me to manga world but i never know that! Very cool!
Watching/reading Nana in my teenage years is how I was introduced to Vivienne Westwood and I became obsessed. Still want one of those rings.
Rest in peace, Vivienne, you truly were iconic.
She was able to transcend fashion into music and culture and that what truly makes a good brand
